Templates

Hey, those templates are placed on 3 pages and it's easier to just edit the template and have the edits being made on the pagers ,than doing every edit on every page that needs it. The other roster template can be used when the Olympics are over/those templates with the olympic roster can be moved down to the history part of the articles. Those other roster templates are great and should be used for every other tournaments but for the olympics a general templatre is better. Just saves time. So, the other ones are not deleted, just replaced for the olympics. Kante4 ( talk) 21:52, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

2014 WJAC & SJHL

Hello, I was just wondering if you knew whether the Swiss and Danish teams were their national U-20 teams or something else? Obviously Canada East and West are from the CJHL, the US is the USHL Prospects team, and the Russians are their U-18 squad... but the Swiss in the past have been incredibly competitive and the Danes this year are a step up vs. the rest of the competition. Currently, the 2014 WJAC article wikilinks to the national junior teams, which we might want to consider changing.

SJHL... this summer someone came and tagged all of the SJHL articles for sources and stuff... you seem to have a deep interest in Sask hockey... would you be interested in beefing these articles up? I've thought about it, but my time is limited these days. I've added all the season and playoff records since 1970... they just need written histories and sources... which shouldn't be hard considering who these teams are. Invitation to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. -- MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
