DOTY pages

Hi there, Just to let you know, new entries on Day Of The Year pages require a reliable source to be accepted, this can be seen at WP:DAYS. Please bear this in mind when reviewing pending changes on DOTY pages in the future. Regards, Willbb234 ( talk) 15:24, 1 August 2019 (UTC) reply

There were reliable sources on the article that was linked. I checked. Psu256 ( talk) 17:04, 1 August 2019 (UTC) reply
I would also like to point out that WP:DAYS is not official policy, but a style guide. You say on your user page, "Please don't bite the newcomers", but I feel that's exactly what you did to 1.129.107.190. The content was verifiable by following the link to the article and checking the sources there. This wasn't just a good faith edit by this user, but a good edit. Robert Sedlaczek

Sure. I'll definitely do that. Tarock games are fascinating and he's certainly been a major force in their revival in recent years. I'd love to translate his Tarock manuals into English! Bermicourt ( talk) 15:11, 14 July 2020 (UTC) reply

Fernando Alonso

Hi,

Please ignore my revert of your edit at Fernando Alonso, I tried to restore to a previous revision, but didn't go back far enough. SSSB ( talk) 13:44, 4 October 2021 (UTC) reply

How did you get it to work? I was trying to get back to the one you wound up actually reverting to, but I was not successful using just the normal 'compare revisions' interface. Is there any particular tool you use? Psu256 ( talk) 13:46, 4 October 2021 (UTC) reply
I use WP:REDWARN and WP:TWINKLE for combating vandamism. Otherwise, you have to go back and revert the edits one-by-one starting with the most recent. SSSB ( talk) 14:42, 4 October 2021 (UTC) reply

A tag has been placed on The International Food Festival requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
