Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled " Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Jammu and Kashmir (union territory) does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! User pages in disambiguation pages

Hey there! Please do not link to your user page at Anil Kumar (disambiguation), as you've repeatedly done. Per my note in the edit history, if you want this to be included in the main article space of the project, see WP:YFA, where you can create an article (not starting with User:) that you can then link to on the disambiguation page. However, your user page is not an article and should not be included there. See WP:UP for what user pages are intended for instead. Thanks! Bsoyka ( tcg) 03:24, 21 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Information icon Hi Prof. Anil Kumar! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Anil Kumar (disambiguation) several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Anil Kumar (disambiguation), please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Bsoyka ( tcg) 03:25, 21 January 2024 (UTC) reply
