Help me! Heather Eatman Band Photograph

Please help me with...

I am the creator of a recently accepted article on Heather Eatman. At the time the article was originally submitted we included a photo of Heather with her band: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Heather_Eatman_and_her_band.jpg. The photo was subsequently deleted, apparently because the photographer, Brad Hamilton, didn't get the permission in in time.

He has now done so, sending the following to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org on August 16th:

I hereby affirm that I, Brad Hamilton, the creator and/or sole owner of the exclusive copyright of the media work as shown here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Heather_Eatman_and_her_band.jpg I agree to publish the above-mentioned content under the following free license: Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International. I acknowledge that by doing so I grant anyone the right to use the work, even in a commercial product or otherwise, and to modify it according to their needs, provided that they abide by the terms of the license and any other applicable laws. I am aware that this agreement is not limited to Wikipedia or related sites. I am aware that the copyright holder always retains ownership of the copyright as well as the right to be attributed in accordance with the license chosen. Modifications others make to the work will not be claimed to have been made by the copyright holder. I acknowledge that I cannot withdraw this agreement, and that the content may or may not be kept permanently on a Wikimedia project.

However, I am unable to find the photograph on Wikipedia or Commons in order to replace it in the article. Questions: Does Wikipedia still have the photo? If so, can it be restored to the article? (2) If not and Brad needs to re-upload the photo, is there a simple way for him to do so without having to again fill out the long permissions form that opens when I click on the "upload" link at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Heather_Eatman_and_her_band.jpg? Is the "Wizard" his best bet? He's a busy professional, I have already taken up quite a bit of his time, and I hesitate to ask him to do too much more.

Thanks for your quick response.

Best,

PolskaGoyl ( talk) 23:53, 21 August 2016 (UTC) reply

Hello! Do not worry, we still have the image. Per Commons:Undeletion requests, the image should be restored as soon as they process the permission email that was sent. You will be able to put the image back in the article once they are done. Please do not re-upload the file, as it will create more work for the permissions reviewers. There is often a backlog at OTRS permissions, so this may take a few weeks. -- AntiCompositeNumber ( Leave a message) 00:03, 22 August 2016 (UTC) reply

Help me!

@ AntiCompositeNumber: Please help me with...Just checking in regarding the Heather Eatman Band photo help request you responded to on my talk page several weeks ago. Wondering if there's any way you can help expedite? It's been almost a month and nothing further has happened. Many thanks! Best, PolskaGoyl

The email has been received, but unfortunately there's quite a backlog. Please be patient. (I myself have only read access to that queue and cannot process the email.) Huon ( talk) 16:32, 18 September 2016 (UTC) reply
