I added my first image on wikipedia (on the Tule Springs Ranch page) but don't know how to get rid of the text that appears above the image. Also, since I've added an image, is it appropriate to edit out the map?

Done I've taken care of it for you. The infobox assumes that anything you put under "image" will actually be an image, and does the formatting for you. Similarly, when you add a caption you can just add the text to the "Caption" field. As for removing the map - I dunno, I find it helpful to know where something is in context. But it's a short article, so removing the map might make sense. Either way, please leave the location information (coordinates, etc) so someone else can look it up on a map if they wish. Yea, I noticed when I did some research a while ago, the information on his page and the sources don't agree. This is probably one of those bio articles that needs a good going over to check all of the sources. Vegaswikian ( talk) 07:12, 5 December 2011 (UTC) reply

I might tackle that, I do like the challenge of finding sources Nevadaresident ( talk) 07:20, 5 December 2011 (UTC) reply
Well, there is Lake Tahoe that probably will make GA once all of the facts have references. I tried at one time and struck out. If you can find sources, then the article can probably be nominated for GA review. Vegaswikian ( talk) 07:23, 5 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Vandalism

When you notice vandalism, you can use {{ uw-vandal1}} or {{ uw-vandal2}} to formally notify the editor. This makes it easier for an admin to later block the account when the editor continues the disruptive behavior. Vegaswikian ( talk) 06:32, 8 March 2012 (UTC) reply

Thanks! I will do that in the future. Best, Nevadaresident ( talk) 15:01, 8 March 2012 (UTC) reply
