Copernicus is (or so the article claims) the "first European astronomer" in the sense of not being Chinese, Indian or Babylonian - actually now I look at the article it doesn't even say that. This is a very different thing from removing descriptions on nationality from other figures. You can't know much about WP if you think these changes will last more than a few minutes. Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. The question

Please read a bit about the Prussia in XV century. The two are uncomparable. I consider Copernicus to be both Polish and German. He might say about himself that he was Prussian (in the XV century sense) - the label which was given to themselves both by Polish-speaking gentry and by German-speaking city inhabitants.

What's more, I am on wikipedia for years. Inserting any remark about Copernicus being "Polish" or "German" is inevitably leading to accusations, revert wars etc. Too many trolls are trying to force their point of view without even listening to the other's side arguments - both Poles and Germans.

Finally, please sign your comments. Thank you. Szopen 13:46, 13 September 2007 (UTC) reply

I'm on the WIKI as many years as Szopen. He's a typical Poznaniak, which pretty much means he's half Prussian himself. Don't worry about him. Your comment about Dürer and Beethoven is absolutely right! Troll, Shmoll! Keep up the good work and I'll join You as soon as I'm done with my WIKI break (późny Grudzień około Bożego Narodzenia). BTW, can You check Braniewo and Krosno Odrzańskie after recent edits by 71.137.202.89? Thank You. Also, in general, can You keep an eye on this guy? Double thank You.
