Redirecting Laser (plant) to Silphium was a mistake. That empty article was a placeholder for the modern genus Laser, of the family Apiaceae (as correctly described on the dab page). These two are not the same plant. The genus Laser is not extinct, as far as I know. (Note that there is also a modern genus Silphium, which is not closely related to the extinct plant either.) I'm going to revert Laser (disambiguation) to the way it was, and redirect Laser (plant) to Apiaceae until it can be deleted. It would help a lot if you would go back to Laser (plant) and replace the redirect with the tag "{{db-author}}" at the top. This will allow the page to be deleted quickly, restoring it to a "red link" that holds the place for a future article on this genus. You are the only one who can do this. Otherwise, the article needs to go through a longer process to decide whether to delete it. -- Srleffler 06:05, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
