Information icon Hi Linestamp! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. There's kind of a problem replacing a coat of arms SVG image which is 73kb in size with an SVG which is over 5 megs in size, especially when the arms are not all that graphically complex. I haven't fully gotten to grips with the 5meg SVG yet, but I already know that it contains 500kb of embedded raster (PNG) data. I really think you need to slim down the megabyte bloat, and eliminate the embedded rasters, before this will be an acceptable replacement in Wikipedia articles. Thanks. P.S. Your diocese coat of arms images are rather steadily increasing in size, starting at 2.5 megs a week ago, increasing to 5 megs in recently-uploaded images:

I downloaded the Coat_of_arms_of_the_Diocese_of_Austin.svg file to my home computer, and it's just too big and complex for me to deal with. I've had success in hand-editing SVG files to remove bloat a number of times in the past, but not this file. I could remove the embedded rasters, but that would only reduce the size of the file by 10%. If there's any option in Inkscape to remove unused code from an image, then click that button, otherwise you may need to rethink the way you make SVGs AnonMoos ( talk) 12:20, 6 March 2024 (UTC) reply

OK, 345kb is more acceptable than 5.2 megs, thanks. AnonMoos ( talk) 20:19, 12 March 2024 (UTC) reply
