Thank you Acalamari for the welcome. I hope I can be a decent asset to Wikipedia! For now, it's time to read all those yummy looking links you posted. Lildobe ( talk) 00:17, 15 April 2008 (UTC) reply
You're very welcome! I was happy to welcome you, and you'll settle in soon enough. By the way, don't worry to much about the rollback request not being accepted: I'll gladly grant it to you in a few days time after some more demonstration of your vandal-fighting abilities. In the meantime, however, welcome to Wikipedia! :) Acalamari 20:36, 15 April 2008 (UTC) reply
No Problem! I understand the reason for the denial :D As I see articles that have been defaced I try and fix them... I just need to remember to log into my account so that it's attributed to me ;) I'll continue to keep my eyes open! Lildobe ( talk) 02:14, 17 April 2008 (UTC) reply

Pittsburgh event for Wikipedia's tenth anniversary

Hi! Since you're a member of WikiProject Pittsburgh, I wanted to invite you to the Wikipedia Tenth Anniversary celebrations we're having in Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 15. During the daytime, we're going to be having a photo contribution drive where anyone can bring in their digital photos or prints and Wikipedians will teach people how to upload them and add them to articles, and maybe introduction to Wikipedia workshops as well. Then in the evening, we'll have fun at the Carson City Saloon. There will be free Wikipedia t-shirts and other goodies, as well. See the Pittsburgh meetup page for more details. I hope to see you there!-- ragesoss ( talk) 14:56, 1 January 2011 (UTC) reply

Wikipedia:WikiProject Pittsburgh is rolling out some new features (see our discussions at WT:PITTSBURGH). We are also trying to determine how many members are active, and interested in contributing to Pittsburgh content or coming to our real life meetups to discuss Wikipedia in general. If you could go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pittsburgh/Members and move your name from inactive to the active or semi-active group (depending on your interest in Pittsburgh issue and overall activity) groups, this would be great. Hopefully in a near future you'll also receive our first newsletter with various information on what we have been doing, and what useful tools are available. -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:10, 26 June 2011 (UTC) reply

IEEE technical societies

If you are a member of one or more of the IEEE technical societies, you may wish to identify yourself as such on Wikipedia. I’ve created Wikipedian categories for each of the 38 IEEE technical societies. The new Template:User IEEE member creates a userbox identifying the society and your membership grade and includes your user page in the relevant Wikipedian category. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a note. Yours aye,  Buaidh  19:02, 11 December 2013 (UTC) — IEEE Life Member reply

Hello and good afternoon (at least it is afternoon where I am). I was looking at the Wikipedian firefighters category and noticed that you are one of the members of the Wikipedia community that lists yourself as being a firefighter. First and foremost let me say thank you for your service. While I myself am not a firefighter, I do work as a photographer with multiple local fire departments. I am honored to have firefighters as some of my closest friends.

I have been taking an active role in the Fire Service WikiProject and am trying to recruit more members to this cause. If this is something you have any interest in, please let me know? You can leave me a message on my talk page. Obviously there is zero obligation. An interest can be anything from helping out with a couple of pages in your local area to helping to overhaul major templates, and anything in between.

Once again, thank you for your service. Hope to hear from you soon. Stay safe! -- Zackmann08 ( talk) 17:54, 10 April 2015 (UTC) reply

Hello member of Category:Wikipedians who use IRC! You are invited to join an ongoing discussion on Wikipedia talk:IRC/wikipedia-en-help aimed at defining a policy for prerequisites to being a helper in the "#wikipedia-en-help connect" channel in a section titled "New helper policy".

To prevent future mailings about IRC, you may remove your user page from Category:Wikipedians who use IRC.
Assistance is available upon request if you can't figure out where it is being added to your user page.
