You currently appear to be engaged in an
edit war according to the reverts you have made on
Shades of Deep Purple. Users are expected to
collaborate with others, to avoid editing
disruptively, and to
try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Lewismaster, IIRC the script that shows Support counts now has the metal article at 6, but I think I count 4 actual supports. 6 just feels considerably higher than 4, for some intuitive reason, and may reduce reviews since people might assume it;s a shoo-in rather than sitting on the fence between "promote" and "not promote".. Perhaps you could move the section debating "movement" to the FAC's Talk page. I think the issue is resolved, and I think that section is confusing the script... but the only question is... I seem to recall that the comments in that section were slightly ambiguous (to me at least) in another way.. for some of the comments in that section, it was unclear to me whether they were supporting "movement" or supporting the whole article.. if it is actually unclear, perhaps that needs to be clarified (?).. anyhow, good luck Lingzhi ♦ (talk) 01:21, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
(
←) thanks and congrats again. I have a question. In the sentence below, what does "bands of the first group" mean? Does it mean American bands?
"This style, which resembled that of mainstream American acts, was favoured by the media and found a larger acceptance among the British audience after the peak of the movement in 1981, becoming prevalent when bands of the first group also adopted it."

I want to commend you for you work on New wave of British heavy metal article. I learned so much from reading it. The article is not only comprehensive and informative, but the language is so vivid and evocative--the way it brings the whole social context of the time period to life--you have rendered it so well--the whole way it expresses the connection with the unemployment in England at the time (now in 20016 we may end up seeing a new rock movement called "Brexit rock"!). Taking on a project this large is a Herculean task and it takes so much to make something like this possible. I understand your concern with the editing of the Imaginos album, but please feel no hardships towards it. I did read in a text that at some point, there was a saxophonist listed on the album. I must have simply mis-placed the name/location of the musician, as well as the source material (also, Hirschberg did indeed play other instruments, thus his involvement with Albert Bouchard on his solo works). Also, if I may ask, why are you so obsessed with the page? I'm certainly not disgracing it in any way, shape or form, I just accidentally marked an incorrect source page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Manowich ( talk • contribs) 16:27, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

The article A Whiter Shade of Pale (album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the

articles for deletion allows discussion to reach

Okay, I've reverted some changes. I'll be the first to admit that my changes reflect personal preferences (rooted in advice from a variety of writing gurus) and a style that's common at TFA but not always at FAC ... and people seem to be okay with that philosophy so far. A few rules of thumb in this style are:

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Deep Purple (album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Top Gear. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Deep Purple (album) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of FunkMonk -- FunkMonk ( talk) 00:01, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
The article Deep Purple (album) you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Deep Purple (album) for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of FunkMonk -- FunkMonk ( talk) 22:02, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
On 11 October 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Deep Purple (album), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the song "Why Didn't Rosemary?" from the 1969 album Deep Purple was inspired by the film Rosemary's Baby? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Deep Purple (album). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, Deep Purple (album)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

So, apparently it looks like you are one of the guys who regularly describes record releases in the United States as "North America" releases. Please stop making this mistake. There are more than 30 countries and territories in North America. Most of the countries in Central America and the Caribbean are forgotten by by those who talk about "North America". Records released in each country can be and usually are different. US and or Canadian releases rarely have any record label similarity to releases in Mexico or other parts of North America. Billboard is a United States chart, not a North American chart. It is sometimes common for Canadians to describe the United States and Canada as "North America" even thought this is obviously wrong because it leaves out most of the countries in the continent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.126.67.201 ( talk) 08:46, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
