Request reason:
I see nothing for the revertion of my edits, and blocking my account aswell. Those 3 edits I've done is not a vandalism. If you sir/ma'am, thinks that it's actually a vandalism, then revert it, But please do not take my ability to edit because helping to Wikipedia is my dream since a kid.
Accept reason:
From what I can tell, it seems the block was an unfortunate error resulting from collateral damage ralated to a sockpuppet case. Since two others and myself can't see the vandalism, I'm unblocking this account. ~ Anachronist ( talk) 22:36, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edits to Jacob Batalon, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edits had to be reverted, for the following reasons:
First, Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. Although there is a citation at end of the passage that mentions Batalon being born in Hawaii, it does not specify the city.
Second, Wikipedia does not include a subject's ethnicity in the Lead section unless it is relevant to the subject's notability, as explained at MOS:ETHNICITY.
Lastly, the guideline on overlinking gives examples of what should generally not be wikilinked, and it includes not only ethnicities, but also the names countries, geographic features and other locations.
If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Nightscream ( talk) 14:31, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
