Manchester Climate

Hi And-Rew please see the discussion page on Manchester for why I edited the climate to Maritime. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Towerblocktom ( talkcontribs) 15:15, 3 September 2007

Your GA nomination of Manchester

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I am glad to be reviewing the article Manchester you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 5 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period.

Usually I complete GA Reviews within two days, however, this is a lengthy article with a lot of content to review - so I have set the target of five days for this review. Pursey Talk | Contribs 21:14, 5 September 2007 (UTC) reply

From what I can see most reviewers have a particular area they tend to review, or different levels of experience in reviewing the articles. I'm relatively new at it, and this is probably the most difficult one I've taken on so far. There certainly is a backlog, but I feel uncomfortable taking on some of the older listed articles at this point. I may request a second opinion from another reviewer before I make a final decision on whether or not to promote Manchester, to double check my feedback and decision. Cheers! :) Pursey Talk | Contribs 21:28, 5 September 2007 (UTC) reply

Manchester - FA push

I'm posting the following to you as a courtesy! I know you've been a (if not the!) driving force behind improving Manchester thus far! I've posted this to all WP:MANC users!

Hello fellow WikiProject Greater Manchester participant! You may or may not be aware that our Manchester article has recently obtained official good article status! This is a great acheievement, but we don't want to stop there! We're hoping to spend the next few weeks as a team to raise the standard of this article to featured standard! It will only be possible if we work together, and hope you can take a moment to look both at the FA criteria, and the Manchester article and aid us in this feat! Any problems, feel free to raise them at Talk:Manchester! Good luck! Jza84 23:20, 10 September 2007 (UTC) reply

I meant to give you this when I did the review...

I was well impressed with the work of the editors when I did the Manchester GA Review. So..

The Original Barnstar
I award you this barnstar for the hard work and quality editing put into the Manchester article. Pursey Talk | Contribs 03:40, 14 September 2007 (UTC) reply

Keep up the good work :) Pursey Talk | Contribs 03:40, 14 September 2007 (UTC) reply

I totally second this.

The Barnstar of Diligence
After all the sockpuppetry/3RR/vandalism/whatever-else-you-were-accused-of/were-guilty-of back in July, I really, really didn’t expect you to hang around here for much longer…let alone get Manchester - the article that got you into all this - to (almost) featured standard. You’ve earned a tremendous deal of respect from me, so for striving to succeed, and not letting…well…everything that happened get you down, I award you this barnstar of diligence. Use it well! Oops

Thanks for shifting that stray {{refs}} in Manchester. I was so pleased to get past the 'Wikipedia is experiencing technical difficulties' message that I forgot to have a good look. Regards, Mr Stephen 19:55, 18 September 2007 (UTC) reply

That's right, tonight's MEN. I see they took the opportunity to gloat ... I wonder what next month's Europe-wide survey will bring? Regards, Mr Stephen 22:20, 18 September 2007 (UTC) reply

Manchester

I've seen you're a regular editor to the Manchester article. I've uploaded a new image and placed it in the infobox to the right. If you have any enquiries or want to remove it then please let me know. Thanks. Onnaghar talk ! ctrb 16:26, 21 September 2007 (UTC) reply

Yeah, I suppose it is actually. Well, em..that's a good question...the Arndale Roof or City Tower? But then again, this one isn't on either and provides a good picture. Onnaghar talk ! ctrb 16:41, 21 September 2007 (UTC) reply
I'm not sure about the public accessability query, but what I do know is, that the image of the Manchester Town Hall is a good idea. I agree with you on the subject that, the Piccadilly Gardens image would be too like the Birmingham article. Here's one image that I suppose is a little bit good (sorry about my expression, it's terrible) and interestingly this one. But most strangely this unique alternative.
