On removing my edit

Good evening. I noticed you reverted an edit I made removing a well known inaccurate piece of Albanian nationalistic propaganda in an article about Georgios Kountouriotis, a Greek admiral. I *did* explain why I removed the content, in the summary. You aren't stopping vandalism, you are inadvertently allowing ridiculous propaganda. I can explain in detail why and how the previous editor is wrong, but removing my edit in whole without dialogue is not the proper way of doing things. Please add my edit back again, this is dangerous misinformation. 2A02:587:5467:8400:C9BE:4407:A950:41BD ( talk) 17:25, 17 December 2023 (UTC) reply

Thank you for explaining why you're upset instead of just reverting my edit. I have added your edit back again. Thanks again. JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 18:02, 17 December 2023 (UTC) reply

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Sarah Lawrence College appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Meters ( talk) 05:48, 22 December 2023 (UTC) reply

Oh, right. I figured that having a book with an article would qualify the entry, but looking back, I understand. Thanks for reverting it, and sorry. JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 05:59, 22 December 2023 (UTC) reply
Not a big deal. It's a common problem. Meters ( talk) 06:01, 22 December 2023 (UTC) reply

For signing my guestbook! The signature just came to me while I was half asleep 😂 Yours is pretty good also, and would have fit me in my early WP days, the mistakes hahaha. Thanks again and cheers! SPF121188 (talk this way) (my edits) 14:54, 3 January 2024 (UTC) reply

The Miami mall incident

why is it being deleted?? Do you know? 2001:569:5953:B100:CC2B:FD36:50D8:28E9 ( talk) 07:22, 7 January 2024 (UTC) reply

I looked at the notice on the page, and it stated the following:
"Not a significant event with lasting notability. See WP:NNEWS, particularly WP:LASTING and WP:CONTINUEDCOVERAGE.
Essentially, all this is was a very small riot with several arrests, and a subsequent short-lived social media storm with apparent mass hysteria and/or people posting made-up accounts for 'likes'. (proposed by Bastun)"
You could leave a message on the article talk page or that user's talk page if you'd like. Also, keep in mind that it's not being deleted, it was just a suggestion by one user. Thanks! JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 07:28, 7 January 2024 (UTC) reply

@ Belbury Hi! In that edit, I was cleaning up the previous edit. It had said something like, "It's sometimes the Mandela Effect", so I cleaned it up to say, "It is sometimes known as the Mandela effect. I wasn't actually sure if it was true, I was just copyediting. In any case, thanks for removing that if it's not true–I'm certainly not a scholar on the subject, just a copyeditor. Thanks! JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 16:59, 29 January 2024 (UTC) reply
All good, I read it as you consciously and significantly changing the meaning of the sentence in the process, and wasn't sure where you were coming from on that.
If this article's on your watchlist, the Sometimes it is the mandela effect though line is just recurring vandalism, it's a joke from a YouTube video that's been added repeatedly since 2017. Belbury ( talk) 17:12, 29 January 2024 (UTC) reply
Yeah, it had come up on my vandalism filter on the Recent Changes page, but I wasn't sure if it was vandalism, so I just reformatted it. Thanks for the info! JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 17:15, 29 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Dealing with multiple vandalism edits

Hello, thanks for your edit to Miriam Makeba. However, you only undid one of the vandal's edits, but they made three of them. You might want to use a tool like Twinkle or RedWarn, which makes it easier to deal with situations like this and warn users. Graham87 ( talk) 10:23, 24 February 2024 (UTC) reply

A similar thing happened with your edit to Hage Geingob (though I know you've been careful elsewhere). Honestly, using the undo feature for serious vandal-fighting does more harm than good in the long term. Graham87 ( talk) 12:44, 24 February 2024 (UTC) reply
That makes sense. I'll try one of those tools. Thanks! JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 18:27, 24 February 2024 (UTC) reply

Hey, looks like you removed my comment on Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty

I have connections and I know them personally, please dont erase my comment on his personal life since that his info is right, thank you Rattylovwr ( talk) 20:32, 24 February 2024 (UTC) reply

You may know him personally, but you still need to cite a reliable source, since you don't have any proof that your assertion is true. Thanks! JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 20:37, 24 February 2024 (UTC) reply
Yes, but I am unable to find any other reference, since they arents referenced anywhere and im the first person to do so. How am I supposed to find references
thank you Rattylovwr ( talk) 20:40, 24 February 2024 (UTC) reply
Well, if you can't find any references, then it's probably better that the information is left off the page. Thanks for discussing this civilly. JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 20:44, 24 February 2024 (UTC) reply

Why remove my fact?

Sheryl Underwood is a pedo! Why remove it? I thought wiki is meant to be factual? 2A02:C7C:5812:2600:980C:9F5F:F8E2:AD23 ( talk) 01:49, 8 March 2024 (UTC) reply

Well, for one thing, you're not providing a reliable source for your claim, and for another, you're not putting your alleged fact in the right place in the articles. For instance, her talk show is not the right spot, since that article is not about her. A good place to proceed from here is to bring it up on the talk page, so fellow editors can help you figure out how to find a source and where to put this information in Sheryl Underwood's article.
Thanks for sending me a message and being civil! JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 01:54, 8 March 2024 (UTC) reply
To be clear, when I said "bring it up on the talk page", I meant Talk:Sheryl Underwood. JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 01:57, 8 March 2024 (UTC) reply
I am the source! I am talking Sheryl Underwood on her page. And then she can take it up with me! 2A02:C7C:5812:2600:980C:9F5F:F8E2:AD23 ( talk) 02:06, 8 March 2024 (UTC) reply
The talk page is not a place to message Sheryl Underwood. A talk page is a place for editors to talk about how to improve the article. See Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 02:11, 8 March 2024 (UTC) reply

Continuously adding a large amount of content without references in Nine (singer), and existing references do not match the content of this article

Hi JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333, Could you please check? Biography of living person Nine (singer) The content contained in the article

is mostly incorrect. Does not match the source of information that has been referenced The references included do not contain any content in the article.

False content example The content does not match the attached reference. There is no content written about Nine (singer) at all. 2019–2020: Acting debut and main host of Foodie Guide TH Nine made his acting debut in 2019 with the role of Mongkol 'Kit' Intochar in the second season of 2Moons: The Series. [1]

Edit history of this article There is an IP address from Peru adding a lot of content. and repeat it many times continuously. without reference source The IP address in every edit is different. But I and another user checked and it was all the same person. https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Nine_(singer)&action=history

After seeing the normalcy of constantly adding content but not having any references. I have read the content and read the attached references. In conclusion, most of the reference sources do not contain any content in the written article. If no references are found in the article. It would be better to leave the information that way. This kind of action is no different from fake news creating information to write specifically. Wikipedia is a resource for collecting information. It is not a matter of writing and adding information on your own. Unbelievable source of information Readers of the article click to read the reference source but there is no written content.

This article contains an IP address from Peru. It was added without reference to the source. And it was discovered that many of the IP addresses edited in this article were all the same person. Add a lot of content without repeated references. And there are too many. I noticed that the IP addresses added without reference are all the same. But IP addresses are not unique at all. Is this to avoid blocking due to continuous harassment? All IP addresses of this person will be deleted from other articles that contain references. And add content to the article Nine (singer), many of which do not have references from the fan's point of view. Looks like the content is too detailed.

False content example The content of the article does not match the reference source. The content of the article is explained but the source is mostly from YouTube. There is only singing. Entries include too much detail for this specific item. 2021: Produce Camp 2021 (CHUANG 2021) On 11 January 2021, it was confirmed that Nine would participate in the Chinese survival show Produce Camp 2021, under Insight Entertainment. [2]

Things happened the way I described. How should we deal with this kind of behavior? Can you please advise? MeetHoneyBee ( talk) 14:22, 9 March 2024 (UTC) reply

Hi, MeetHoneyBee. I have to admit, I don't have a lot of experience with this type of continuous vandalism. The vandalism I revert is usually simple, and the editor tends to either stop vandalizing or be blocked fairly quickly, but I'll do my best to advise you.
As you know, since there are many different IP addresses for this one person, you can't block the editor. If I understand what you're saying correctly, requesting page protection for the article, so only autoconfirmed users can edit it, would probably be the best course of action. I would also suggest contacting a more experienced editor, since I have a concentrated area of expertise, and unfortunately this doesn't really fall within my range.
Thanks! JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 19:33, 9 March 2024 (UTC) reply
Thank you. I have disturbed you. But you can help check. and revert the last edit of 2001:1388:A44:EDDB:98F3:C8BE:82C6:175D Is this possible?
/info/en/?search=Special:Contributions/2001:1388:A44:EDDB:98F3:C8BE:82C6:175D
This person from Peru is using the same IP address range to harass many other articles, using the same IP address range, but the address Unique IP to avoid blocking
This person is constantly adding a lot of unsourced content. Deleting maintenance tags without correcting them Repeatedly adding unsourced content to Nine (singer)'s articles after being warned and the administrators reverting the edits. He has been doing the same behavior for a long time. The latest modification behavior I consider serious because it has been doing it for a long time is being warned with different IP addresses. Therefore, no one can block his actions. MeetHoneyBee ( talk) 16:31, 24 March 2024 (UTC) reply
If I understand you correctly, a vandal is using a range of IP addresses to vandalize a number of different articles in the same subject area, and cannot be blocked due to their use of different IPs.
If they're only vandalizing a small number of articles, you should request page protection for the articles (I believe I provided a link to the page where you can do that above).
Otherwise, I'm afraid I don't know what to do, either. Thanks for consulting me; I wish you the best. Let me know if you need help requesting page protection. JohnLaurensAnthonyRamos333 ( correct me if I'm wrong) 20:25, 24 March 2024 (UTC) reply
