Scotland managers

Hi, just a quick note regarding the dates for Scotland national team managers. I don't think the start and end dates listed at the SFA page match the first and last games played under each manager; for example, Malcolm McDonald's last game in charge was on 22 October 1966, whereas the end date of his tenure is listed as 30 November 1966. With Walter Smith, perhaps it was a Capello-type situation (appointed one month and takes over formally the following month)? At present the list is unsourced, so I would propose the SFA page being cited as the reference. Cheers, Mattythewhite ( talk) 03:17, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

The Rangers Football Club Ltd

Hi

There is no doubt that a new company called The Rangers Football Club now exists. There is also no doubt that is has purchased the assets of Rangers FC and has now applied to join the SPL. Therefore, it is wrong to redirect this to the Rangers FC article. Regards Fishiehelper2 ( talk) 10:37, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

I have restored the article pending a wider discussion on the issue (possibly AfD), and because I do not consider CRYSTAL to apply to an organisation which does exist and which has already done the things the article claims. I personally think Liquidation of Rangers F.C. would be a better article, pending the conclusion of the saga, but that this article is better than nothing. — WFC— 13:37, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Ibrox Stadium

There is no doubt that Ibrox stadium has been bought by The Rangers Football Club Ltd - the Charles Green consortium. Clearly referenced fact. We do not know for certain whether SPL league games will be played there next season, so it would be wrong to state that they will. Regards Fishiehelper2 ( talk) 10:46, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

You have just reverted an edit I made, descibing it as pointless and inaccurate. I obviously disagree with it being pointless or i wouldn't have bothered. However, I am irritated by the suggestion that it was 'inaccurate'. I'd be grateful if you tell me in what respect it was inaccurate. To help you recall, here is what I added: "On June 14th, 2012, after Rangers F.C. entered liquidation, [1] Ibrox Stadium was sold along with other Rangers' assets, in a deal worth £5.5m, to The Rangers Football Club Ltd - a consortium led by Charles Green. [2] This club has applied for membership of the SPL with Ibrox as its home stadium." Regards Fishiehelper2 ( talk) 18:10, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. I had provided a reference to show that Rangers had entered liquidation, but I suppose it depends what 'entering' liquidation means: some view 'entering liquidation' is beginning as soon as the CVA route has been closed down, others wait until a liquidator has been appointed. Cheers Fishiehelper2 ( talk) 18:20, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

POV pushing

Hi - we need to discuss this. I do not believe I am pushing anything here: I am trying to update the article to reflect the new reality. However, you appear unwilling to recognise that things have changed. Your recent attempt to remove the Newco Rangers article is not constructive and was done without attempting to reach consensus. We may not be certain whether any team will be playing football at Ibrox next season, and it one does, what its name will be - it may be allowed to call itself Rangers FC, but it may have to call itself something slightly different. However, we do know that Rangers FC is being liquidated, and now has no players, so it certainly won't be playing anywhere next season. Yet you seem to believe that "is the home of Rangers FC" is accurate? Is there no 'compromise' way forward on this? Regards Fishiehelper2 ( talk) 13:12, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

Edit on Kirk Broadfood

Hi, I'm confused about the edit summary you left on this edit for Kirk Broadfoot. Specifically, I'm not sure how WP:NPF applies here. We're not talking about a little known person, and since he was convicted of the crime he was accused of, it's in the public record, and it's not just an accusation. The paragraph about injuring himself cooking egg seems superfluous, but otherwise, I'm not sure why it should be removed. -- Mosmof ( talk) 23:58, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

Ibrox stadium

The version of events on the current page is incorrect. It states:

'Rangers entered administration in 2012 and were forced to transfer Ibrox and other assets to a new company to continue trading'

Rangers did not transfer the ownership of Ibrox to a new company upon entering administration, as the article suggests. Ibrox was not obtained by Sevco 5088 until 14/06/2012 [3]. This was after Rangers had applied for liquidation. The administration event did not lead to the transfer of Ibrox to a new company other than in the sense that administration was a step along the road to liquidation. For that reason the aticle should be altered. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamalcfc ( talkcontribs) 23:12, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Be Warned - Rangers FC - an attempt to push through a controversial 'same club' approach

Hello. You have contributed to the Newco Rangers article so I thought yuou should be made aware that an attempt is being made to undermine this article by pushing through a 'same club' approach despite many of us believing this is heavily biased and very selective use of the sources. You may wish to follow what is proposed at the Talk:Rangers F.C/Sandbox. Spiritofstgeorge ( talk) 12:41, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi James, I was just wondering why you removed the sections from Spence's career the other day. Thanks Adam4267 ( talk) 12:03, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

I agree about the loans but articles are supposed to be split into sections and its not that short. Maybe we should raise the loans issue at WT:FOOTY because I never know what to do with that tbh. Adam4267 ( talk) 21:41, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
