For all the very helpful gnome work you have been doing of late on school articles. One thing most school articles seem to need is updates on enrollment and demographic numbers. And the good news is......they are really simple to update! There is a federal government website that publishes stats on all schools, public and private. Its called NCES. (sorry I don't have the link, as I'm on my phone, but it's the first hit if you Google the term). Hi! Sorry if my revert seemed a little rude. I reverted your edit for both consistency with other television fictional character articles, and other good articles in the Doctor Who/Torchwood wikiproject. Paragraphs are usually grouped together because of subject rather than length; an example from the Rose Tyler article I reverted is that the Television Appearnces section generally follows a one paragraph per series format. I felt that the revised version showed too much whitespace; especially on anything above a medium sized computer monitor. Hope that makes sense Eshlare ( talk) 16:26, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi Jessica, I actually kept the edits you made on several other articles, but as this diff shows, you actually entered a BUNCH of errors with your edits to this particular article. Some fixes were helpful, but there were so many others that changed tense, altered an intended nuance, or just simple errors, it was easier to revert. What I did just now was to take the position that you edited something because there was a possible problem, and then I restored some, but not all, of your fixes. This is very unlike me. I always preview before submitting edits, and errors - mine or otherwise - usually jump out at me. I'm sure I commit the odd typo now and again but this... wasn't great. I can only assume I was more tired than I realized, and got sloppy. I'll have a look at the other edits I did around that time, to make sure nothing else crazy got through.

I encountered a bizarre situation in which I accidentally tripled the content of that page. I then removed the repetitions. Hello Jessicapierce, I noticed you made changes to the List of banks in Cyprus article. First of all thank you for correcting the capitalization on the Central bank title. However, regarding the removal of the (Cyprus) part from National Bank of Greece, Piraeus Bank and Societe Generale Bank, I believe you will find that it is an essential part of the banks' names and not just part of their legal names, as it differentiates them from their parent banks. Hi, thank you for your edits to List of fashion designers - I had to revert your move of Ireland to the UK section, as while I know you meant well, the majority of Ireland is actually NOT part of the UK (and quite a lot of Irish people HATE it when it's assumed they are "British".) Rather than trying to single out which Irish designers (if any) are from the tiny percentage that is under the United Kingdom umbrella, it really is much easier to treat the whole of Ireland as a county in its own right. Hello, Jessica! Thank you for dropping me a line on my talk page stating your concerns about my reverting your edits. I would be happy to explain my revert. Here are my specific reasons for doing so:

1. Per Wikipedia's manual of style, film genres should be capitalized.

2. Not sure what my reasoning behind restoring the month abbreviations was. I did revert my own revert of that.

3. Chris Heimerdinger specifically collected tennis shoes for the project in question, and specifics are always better than sweeping generalizations.

4. Book series titles should not be italicized, only bolded. If it were the name of a periodical or newspaper or a single book within the series, that would be different, but where it's a book series, it should be only in bold typeface.

Hello, and thanks so much for your reply! These are exactly the kinds of fine points I welcome help with, because although I'm familiar with the MOS, there's a lot of know (and forget), and it wouldn't kill me to brush up on it, which is what I'm doing now.

(1.) The MOS is so unwieldy and split up on some topics - or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place - that I'm having trouble finding anything on the capitalization of film genres. The closest I've come is MOS:GENRECAPS, which refers to music and literature. Since "science fiction" is given as the correct variant for describing books, I would think "fantasy live action" would be correct for film...?

(4.) This section certainly contains some tidbits I was wrong about, whoops! However, it does say that an "actual title of a series declared by the author or publisher" should be italicized, such as The Chronicles of Narnia. The Tennis Shoes Adventure Series, to me, would seem to fit that example, especially as that's the title of the wiki article, and it's fully capitalized.

However, that page itself seems to have mixed feelings about the italics, as the title of the page is in plain text, but within the text, "Tennis Shoes Adventure Series" is italicized. (I recently edited that page, and just double-checked - those italics weren't my doing!)

Any light you can shed on this would be helpful, though I don't mean to take up more of your time on this small matter. Can you point me to other sections of the MOS that might apply? Most of what I do here is finesse various lists, and punctuating titles is a frequent part of that. I'd like to get it right. Thanks again! Jessicapierce ( talk) 18:00, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Hey, Jessica! Thanks for your reply. I agree that the MOS is not clear on such points as this, which is why we must therefore consider other sources. Every source I've come across that refers to films has the film title in italics. Even looking at Wikipedia, whenever a film title is referenced, it is in italic font. See for example this link and this link for examples. As for the genre of the film, it may well qualify as historical fiction rather than any other genre, as the film in question is based on Book of Mormon events. As far as book series goes, that's a different case because it's not a film, so the italics rule doesn't apply. Typically a book series will be bolded and the only genre italicized would be the name of a periodical, such as Deseret News or Church News, or any one of the periodical magazines put out like magazines from the LDS Church or Readers Digest. So, in review, periodicals are italicized; book series are typically in bold typeface. Hope that makes sense. It could be that we'll need to revisit the subject of italics as it relates to the book series, which should be in bold, as the sources seem to indicate. Hope that makes sense. Dear Jessica, thank you for your edits to this article. Just to say, though, that "an hotel" is perfectly correct English as the "h" is often not pronounced. I'm not sure if this is peculiar to British English (you certainly hear it on the BBC News) nor is it universal here, but it's not wrong. The same is true for some other words beginning with "h". Hello, and thank you for your message! I'd never seen "an hotel" before, so I actually did some reading on it before editing it here. Consensus among British grammarians (at least the ones I happened across) seemed to be that "a hotel" was the correct form, and "an hotel" was archaic. However, it can't be TOO archaic if it's said on the BBC! So I'll leave this alone if I see "an hotel" here in the future, as I certainly don't mean to seem like I'm trying to Americanize British articles. I did some research too and discovered that there is a little know grammatical rule that if the stress falls on the second syllable of a word beginning with "h" then it takes "an", but also the "h" is then not pronounced. So it sounds like "an 'otel" (which is exactly how the BBC pronounce it) or "an 'istorical occasion". I knew the custom, just not the reason. Also it seems that it's not just used in British English, but also by some North American networks. However, the majority of people don't know the rule so don't follow it. Don't fix quotes without seeing the quoted text, or call attention to the obvious problem. Using the other parts of the text I finally found a source for the paper. The "they is" you noticed was supposed to be "they report is", as in:

"the median size of the informal economy they report is 37% of GDP"

At most you might insert "[sic]". In this case the person typing in the quote was both mistyping and paraphrasing at the same time!! Let's see, a paraphrase of a paraphrase of a another paper. Yikes!

Hi, just a head's up that when you were copy editing List of mainline My Little Pony ponies you renamed a couple of sections headings. You forgot to check for redirects per MOS:HEAD which states "Before changing a section heading, consider whether you might be breaking existing links to that section. If there are many links to the old section title, create an anchor with that title to ensure that the links still work." This caused some links to section headings to break because they are case sentative, but it was easily fixable. Hi there, thanks for editing articles about Oregon high schools. I'm curious what your rationale is for making the sports team names singular, as in Bonanza Jr./Sr. High School, here. I went ahead and changed it back to plural, because in the case of the Antlers, it really doesn't make any sense it would be singular. Rather than do a mass change of these back to plural, can you point me to some guideline about these names of which I am unaware? I suppose it could be a quibble between "sports team name" and "mascot". In the case of the Antlers, it is more of a nickname (see the logo is actually an elk) for the team than a mascot that is just an antler, singular. See also the Everett Aquasox, where their mascot is actually a frog, the team name is "Aquasox" and there is no "aquasock" to be found! Or my hometown, whose baseball team has long been know as The Emeralds, but the mascot isn't an Emerald, singular. Recently it acquired a sasquatch as a mascot, but I digress. Looking more closely, it looks like {{ Infobox school}} has a space for nickname or "team name"--would it make more sense to you to change the team names from "mascot" to "nickname" or "team name"? I like changing it to "team name" and leaving the names plural, personally. Another fun Oregon team name is the "Honkers", whose logo is of a Canada goose. I think that one should be plural too. Hello to both of you, and thanks for your comments. I have indeed been changing this based on grammar, since "mascot" is a singular noun and refers to one thing - the single (with rare exceptions) image or personality used to represent a team or school. Most school infoboxes use the "mascot" field rather than "team name", so I use the singular there. When "team name" is used, either in the infobox or in the text, such as "the school's sports teams are known as the whatevers," I definitely go with the plural form.

I appreciate the mention of the OSAA source - I'm going to check back through some of my recent edits and see what I can find there. I'll also look through Wikipedia's guidelines on school pages, which I'm fairly sure I remember backing the use of singular mascot names. (Bear with me please; this stuff can be tough to dig up.)

I found a relevant passage near the top of the Wikipedia article for mascot:

"Team mascots are often confused with team nicknames. While the two can be interchangeable, they are not always the same. For example, the athletic teams of the University of Alabama are nicknamed the Crimson Tide, while their mascot is an elephant named Big Al. "

This is interesting to me because it points to a mascot being singular, and the team name being plural (or innumerable/"weird", such as Crimson Tide). It also makes me realize that I should be taking more care to make sure I've got the details right, in cases where the mascot and team name may not align. The Aquasox example is perfect, thank you! Ok, I've done some reading, and I'll be doing more, since I'd like to make sure I'm doing things right. Again, please bear with me... I wish the Manual of Style were better indexed.

This is slow going, because a lot of the links to school websites are out of date, as are the OSAA links. I'm updating those as I go.

What I'm finding is that OSAA is probably a great source of information... but not Wikipedia-standard punctuation or grammar. There are numerous entries on every OSAA page I've just seen, which just would not pass muster with Wiki's guidelines. Wiki uses sentence case ("Public school" in the infobox, "public school" in the middle of a sentence); OSAA says "Public School." If I were using OSAA as a source for whether a school was public, I would change those caps to fit Wiki's standards.

The same goes for the names of sports. OSAA lists "Boys Soccer." You could argue whether that should be in caps in some circumstances, based on it perhaps referring to a specific, proper noun ("Jefferson High Boys' Soccer" or "Oregon Boys' Soccer Championship") - but it absolutely needs the apostrophe, based on "boys" being plural. OSAA does not use the apostrophe. Again, this is a case where if I were using OSAA as a source for the piece of info, I would change the punctuation to be in line with Wikipedia standards. It's not as if I'm including a direct, specifically worded quote from the source, which would go in quotation marks (and include a "[sic]" to indicate incorrectness in the source). Since I'm just sourcing a fact, I can change it to the correct wording/punctuation.

I believe these examples bolster my argument that the name of a mascot should (generally, with exceptions) be treated as a singular word within Wikipedia. I'll keep reading though. Jessicapierce ( talk) 06:45, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

Whether 'Boys Soccers' is grammatically incorrect or not is moot. OSAA sponsors Boys Soccer. It does not sponsor Boys' Soccer. If OSAA deemed fit to call it Boyz Sokker, it should be listed as such and not corrected. Similarly, whether a school chooses to use a grammatically incorrect term for their mascot is the schools choice (perhaps they have a reason of which you are unaware) and not for you to correct. Right, I take your point. I certainly wouldn't change established facts to fit my idea of "correctness." What I was getting at was that perhaps OSAA ought not be taken as gospel on the phrasing of a mascot's name, since presumably the schools themselves are in control of that.

"Mascot" usually refers to a character anyway, not the name of the team. I think this is a matter of the wrong field being used in the infobox, not a matter of incorrect grammar. I see you've made improvements to the Wilson HS page before so I'm contacting you for support. I made many significant improvements in August, and I invite you to look. Since then another editor first deleted a citation with no justification, an anon user undid that change, then that editor deleted the citation again. I didn't notice this until I made another addition to the alumni section in September. At that time I reinserted the citation. That's kind of trivial, but now I find that editor has deleted not just the citation but the whole section of text on "popular culture" that citation was part of. I indicated to that editor (s)he should justify major deletions on the talk page but (s)he just reverted anyway. Please take a look and and if you agree, support me on the talk page. If this turns into an edit war I'm going to have to ask for moderation, but maybe just support from another editor like you will make that person be reasonable and stop. In the explanation you wrote, that my edit has introduced some errors. Could you please be more specific? I am a mineralogist and I assure you that I know what are the correct names of minerals... I would like to kindly suggest getting known with the International Mineralogical Association (IMA) List of Minerals ( http://nrmima.nrm.se/) and also Mindat (www.mindat.org) to see that "monazite", "microlite" and so on are NOT the correct mineral names. Some of you write that articles like that on Cerium are not mineralogical and chemical... FeTa2O6 and MnTa2O6 are CHEMICAL formulas. "Microlite" is the most important ERROR that WAS in the Cerium page until I've corrected/explained it. "Microlite" is now a group name under the pyrochlore supergroup. And mineralogy is a science. Also, there is a reason for what we've got GEOchemistry. So, FeTa2O6 is tantalite-(Fe) (and not tantalite), MnTa2O6 is tantalite-(Mn) (and not tantalite). But, if Wikipedia wants its own "rights" to describe science, well... I though specialists are needed here exactly to make the Wikipedia articles better. Seems like I was wrong. @ Eudialytos: I'm sorry for not being more clear in my edit summary, where I should have mentioned I am no expert on minerals. I hoped that using the phrase "good faith" would express that I understood your edits were meant to improve the article. That's also why I mentioned that your edit could be re-added, with more care.

I have no idea whether your additions are factually correct, but I assume they are, and I always appreciate it when a specialist helps to improve Wikipedia articles. Your edit was problematic in several ways that had nothing to do with facts.

Primarily, I removed your edit because it broke formatting in a rather important way. You inserted text into the middle of an existing citation, which resulted in broken formatting and an unreadable area of the page. See my edit here to see what I mean. It's the second difference in the page, where you added "(correctly named cerianite-(Ce))<ref>www.mindat.org</ref>". You added a citation within a citation, which not only caused formatting issues, but is also a problem because essentially you were changing the title of the cited source. You may have felt you were adding a correction, but that's not appropriate within citations. This would be similar to someone correcting the name of a magazine which has an intentionally misspelled name. If its actual title is "coooool MAGAZEEN," no one should be correcting it to "Cool Magazine."

Your edit also included several errors such as the phrasing "like, e.g." which is redundant. Instead of "referred to," I think you meant "which refers to," or "applied to." You added a citation before punctuation (<ref>Citation text</ref>, rather than ,<ref>Citation text</ref>) - hardly a big deal, but something else that would require fixing.

Altogether, although I felt your addition was well-intentioned, it required too much fixing by other editors to keep, and that the onus is on you to make your additions fairly correct with regards to grammar and formatting. Thank you for understanding! I may have gone overboard with the link removal... I just run across so many articles where it seems like someone has tried to include ALL THE LINKS, to the point that the list of external links is longer than the article itself. ( Kukuruza was nowhere near that bad, if I recall!) Including a few external links seems fine to me, especially if it's for a specific reason (to show the group's appearance), rather than the huge aimless lists I sometimes find. So, although another editor may always disagree, I think the external links are fine are they are now - it's a good compromise.

Hello! I just wanted to thank you for your understanding of my revert of yours at that article. I entirelly understood your logic, however, with Brazilians have a particular naming customs. By living 3 decades in Portugal, I am well familiarised with Portuguese naming customs (which include all nations that have Portuguese as their primary language). I am well aware about your good intention of following that biographies should use the surname when mentioning someone, however, when the matter is about Brazilian footballers, they most often have either a commonname or a nickname. Just think about Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Denilson, Ailton, Neymar, etc. If you notece no one of them is refered allmost never by their paternal surname but rather by their commonname. Since people from Portuguese.language societies have pedominantly two names and two surnames, their fullname is long and complex, so individuals in order to make them noticeable choose a name or nickname that becomes their commonname by which they are refered to. While David Beckham should certainly be allways refered as "Beckham" in an encyclopedia, Eduardo Ferreira Abdo Pacheco becomes clearly more commonly recognisable as "Eduardo" or "Edu" rather than by "Pacheco". In his case "Eduardo" is the first name, "Ferreira Abdo" maternal surname, and "Pacheco" paternal surname. In a short version "Eduardo Pacheco" would be his name (first name plus paternal surname) which was chousen for article title, but when refering to him, his commonname of "Eduardo"/"Edu" definitelly has precedent over "Pacheco" same as "Neymar" has over "Santos Junior". This is a peculiarity that happends with Potuguese and Spanish-speaking societies sportspeople, obviously rare in other exemples where Johann Sebastian Bach is certainly refered as Bach when in context rather that "Johann" or "Johann Sebastian". Would you consider adding one, to either (or both) Eduardo articles, if you think it's necessary? It might save you from having to undo similar edits by others in the future. I'll leave it up to you. Dear Jessica, You un-edited a load of edits on the Belvedere College Wikipedia page. The page is quite poor, both on images of the school, its facilities but also its history, which I will leave to the school and its historians to fix. However it is particularly poor in the sections pertaining to sports and alumni, the latter being almost completely blank where it should rightly be highly populous. The latter might also be sorted out by the schools academic staff or school historians or academics. I was not a logged in user to save time. I would suggest that you read the Wikipedia entries on Rugby School, Muscular Christianity. Tom Browne's Schooldays and how Wellington said that the Battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton along with how the Latin phrase DULCE ET DECOMUM EST, PRO PATRIA MORI, which all so influenced the fee paying (public / private) schools of the British Isles to understand the centrality of sports in the past and indeed up to the present in such schools despite leaving the Union in the case of 3/4 of the country in a gradual but unresolved manner from 1922-1948, but also in your nearer to home great US prep schools and in the Ivy League and inter-collegiate sport in general. Central to this 18th and especially 19th century philosophy were the athletic pursuits of cricket, rugby, athletics and rowing. Essentially there are the more socially superior sports it was supposed who partoke of these leisurely gentlemanly pastimes and those inferior schools that played other sports or none at all. Schools are still ranked to this day by sporting activity, The Ivy League being a sporting league and not a league of academic excellence, the same with the top US prep schools, or in England the Lords schools or those that had or still retain the right to play an annual match at the home of cricket at Lords or whose annual match v another school or university is part of the London Social Season such as Eton v Harrow,(cricket / polo), Oxford v Cambridge (rowing / rugby / cricket / polo) or had the right to row at Henley Royal Regatta (Eton, Winchester, Beamont SJ, The Oratory) etc. I realize that you made your un-edits with great zeal and enthusiasm but I would argue in error and that pieces outlining the schools sports, its great sporting tradition and a tiny synopsis of the history of those sports at the college are essential for any reader, who isn't conversant with the schools history or place to properly attain a quick assessment of the academic institution or its place in society, sports, culture and society, both within its country and indeed internationally within a pre-ordained if semi-opaque pecking order. You do mention as reasons an overabundance of references, but these fill out the abridged picture given in my mere few sentences and are all relevant. You say that the statements aren't backed up by the references, but I would ask you to read them again in total and you will see that everything is based on them and indeed verified by them. To further check I would suggest you peruse the following books titled roughly Ireland's 100 greatest cricketers by Ger Siggens (though not entirely error free) and a book by a former Belvedere College maths teacher, now headmaster of Castleknock College on Belvederian Ireland rugby caps which, while old, contradicts your assertion of 28 Irish internationals in rugby! If people more knowledgeable in these affairs are not allowed to add to the page, then this calamitous situation will continue which may effect non-nationals or un-knowledgeable locals choice of schooling for their children. If you do have a genuine interest in Irish schools history, might I turn your attention to the almost non existent entries in Irish schools whose alumni won a Victoria Cross! As can be seen from this, Wikipedia is never accurate, but merely a work in progress as people add data to fill out lists and histories. If their edits are instantly deleted, despite being accurate, Wikipedia will never attain any semblance of accuracy in the future, which is no doubt its stated aim, to be encyclopedic, whilst at present it is but scraps of lists and texts, no more complete than our lists and texts of the classical playwrights for instance. Please take time and do research a topic before deleting edits, or perhaps leave it to experts and contain yourself to grammatical, textual and reference improvements. While my edits were rushed, minimal and concise, they were accurate and an improvement and can act as subject matter for someone who wishes to expand on them. Those with no references such as tennis, golf, sailing and yachting etc were items that I would have returned to with an accurate number of national or Leinster (provincial, one of four island of Ireland quarters, akin to state champions in the US) titles as and when those facts are published online or when the administrators of the various sports have time to check their archives (my cricket school titles numbers were only furnished to me over a number of years as amateurs still administer these organisations). Of course the college should know and should highlight these facts and they all would be contained in their annual periodical, The Belvederian, and in their papers should they deign to research it. But until then they will remain well known facts of dominance by those following the sports over a lifetime and those who took part in those sports or who were students of this college or of its small circle of opponents. I plan to replace the edits that you unedited, you are free to amend or improve them as you wish, but please be factual through historical research before you say that accurate facts are inaccurate. I might be new to editing Wikipedia and do not intend to do it too often, so am happy to be corrected on style, format etc. Many thanks for all your great effort, organisations quickly fail without the dedicated involvement of the very few, like yourself and I am forever indebted to you for your tireless dedication, Yours respectfully, Carl

In general it's better to include information in a Wikipedia article itself, rather than provide links to external sources where that information might be found. Also, while I have no doubt that the Academy has relevant info on these topics, it's not in English, which is not likely to be useful to most readers of the English-language Wikipedia. You'll notice that I am not the only editor who removed these links. Your edits would be far more likely to stand if you would find an English source to back up information in those articles (or new information that you add), and include that source as a citation, rather than an external link.

I remember recently mentioning in an edit summary having removed a citation for not being English, but that was mentioned as part of a combination of issues - I certainly wouldn't remove a citation JUST for being non-English. If it was Amit Bhadana, the larger problem was that the citations were being used to prove current figures, but were many years out of date, and I felt they'd been superseded by a more current, English source. Hi there, I can certainly appreciate that you'd like your page to be accurate. I'm sure we can find a way to do that. As I explained in my edit summary (you can see the page's edit history here), I removed your addition for several reasons:

• It replaced sourced information (content with citations to back it up) with unsourced. This is really rarely seen as an improvement. In cases when sourced content needs to be removed, you should start a discussion on the article's Talk page, or, at the very least, explain your changes in the edit summary (you should always do this anyway). In this case, the information you added about "Thinking Out Loud" was not that different from the text that was originally there, so that citation absolutely could have stayed put, and shouldn't have been removed. Adding/keeping relevant citations strengthens an article.
• The more important reason I removed your additions is that we generally don't keep huge lists of song titles, like what you added. It's not considered standard discography content here, and is not useful content for most users. Wikipedia isn't meant to be exhaustive. I think the relevant section of WP:NOTEVERYTHING is probably WP:INDISCRIMINATE. You may also find Wikipedia:WikiProject Musicians/Article guidelines helpful.
• In addition, nearly every line you added to the article would have needed fixing. There's a ton of erratic capitalization and missing punctuation in that song list. Other editors can always step in to fix things since Wikipedia is collaborative, but the onus is on the contributing editor to make an effort to comply with the Manual of Style.

I'm going to remove that song list again, and I hope you understand why, now. My goal is not to control the content on that page, but to keep it in line with our style guide while also containing accurate, sourced information. I hope we can agree on that. Thank you. Hello, I'm not sure sure what to do about this situation. User Manavatha has a history of nonconstructive edits. If you'll check the user's recent history, you'll see more uploads of several pencil sketches which I assume are about to be posted in a lot of actresses' articles, as before. No new vandalism has occurred yet, but the issue has been explained to the user, and these uploaded images are not appropriate.

However, the second issue is that Manavatha keeps blanking their talk page. This has happened numerous times and is now becoming more frequent. I see no evidence that the page has been archived, and feel it's more likely that it's being done to remove warnings.

Any help on this would be appreciated. If it's better to post this at a noticeboard, just let me know which. Thank you! Jessicapierce ( talk) 14:38, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

AN/I is a good venue for this. Remember, though, that blanking a page doesn't remove warnings from its history. If there is a pattern of improper editing and the warnings need to be shown, they're rather easily retrieved. Strikerforce ^Talk 14:48, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Edits are quite needed.Ofcourse in one article the whole page was fictionits true...The pages you had handled so far consists of more rumours.Thats the only reason i blanked it.The pages maintained are full of errors and different fascinating imaginations daydreams.I was just cutting wrong part .you reverting the same. I did my best removing the error part...I stopped at that day when you wrote mail over my inbox before 15 days ago to stop editing.I paused and never made any edit .. Even if you come to my own account user page,and discussing my userpage as an very big issue seems having no sense@all. ( talk page stalker) If I may interject, @ Manavatha:, I would urge you to read UP#OWN, specifically the passage, pages in user space belong to the wider community. They are not a personal homepage, and do not belong to the user. They are part of Wikipedia, and exist to make collaboration among editors easier, and the subsequent sections. You seem to be asking Jessicapierce to not post appropriate messages on your page. Unless you obtain an interaction ban against her, that's not a proper request to make. As long as she is communicating about issues related to the development of the encyclopedia, she - and anyone else - is free to post on your talk page, as needed. Jessica, in fairness, this also applies to your request below in this thread. Manavatha, you have removed several items that are specifically listed as not be appropriate for deletion, such as Miscellany for deletion tags (while the discussion is in progress). Thanks very much for chiming in, Strikerforce. You make a good point. Because of my frustration and the language barrier, I said "stop posting here", when what I meant was "could you please compose your message to me in a text editor and post it once, rather than in 14 separate edits." The notifications every two minutes for half an hour were a little much, especially given that the updated message was not becoming any more readable.
