The word
deflagration is technically correct but is not often used in English. Try to locate a similar article on English Wikipedia and see how it is titled. Look at
Category:Gas explosions in China for example.
If you can finish this article successfully, it will be worth a good amount of extra credit points.

WSH0927 (

WSH0927 It is possible Shi Ci or your first suggestion (奢香夫人(约1361年—1396年)) would be fine - you can start by creating an article about her (them) on Chinese Wikipedia for extra credit, then translate it to English. With regards to Tian Xiwei, that article is very short, so while you can translate it to English, it would not be enough for a full project (but it is again totally fine to do it for extra points). Check our syllabus for word counts. Piotrus at Hanyang|

WSH0927 (

WSH0927 For your weekly edits, all edits that are not related to your main project will count. So first we need to decide what is your main project. If you are working solo, one English article will be ok. If She Ci does not have an article on Chinese nor English Wikipedia, you can use your weekly edits to create and improve her biography in Chinese and for your main project translate it to English. Please remember that content you add to Wikipedia has to be referenced to reliable sources (academic books, papers, or newspapers) and not Baidu or social media (blogs). Piotrus at Hanyang|

ZHANGQI1066 It is totally fine to finish one before starting on another.
Your draft is quite good. A few sentences need clarification, for example "n March 1992, the folio 4-page "West Lake Weekend" (later expanded to 8 color printing)" is missing a verb. I recommend using a service like
Grammarly to double check your prose.
Some content in your draft needs references, for example the paragraph "The Hangzhou Daily now has 8 pages on Mondays, 20 pages on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 24 pages on Thursdays and Fridays, and 4 pages on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The content of the newspaper covers important news, Hangzhou news, district and county (city) news, Zhejiang news, China and international news, economic news, culture and sports news and supplements." If the Chinese version is also missing a reference, you can add it there as well for extra credit.
Thank you very much for the correction. During this period, I will make good revisions to my article.

Haimarrow and Haemaro, both can read “해마로“, its not a problem in korean, but i think it have to be more correct in enlglish wikipedia.(because it is a korea company, enlgish users can have a problem when they search it.)

@
Bai0926 Well done, your edits at Moon Man look good.
However, your edits to Chinese clothing need improvement and I have undone them. In
here, you changed content without providing a reference, and your style is incorrect - Wikipedia does not address the reader like this: "If we examine". "Why did you remove the mention of "Ancient
Chinese literature"?
This addition was ok and you can restore it, but the reference should be at the end of a sentence, not in the middle.
This edit added several paragraphs. All but the last one appear to have no reference and the last one was referenced to Baidu. Baidu is not allowed on Wikipedia as a reference, see
WP:BAIDU
In
this edit, you added a reference. But I do not see how the cited source has anything to do with the information in this paragraph?
This reference is fine, but you broke the paragraph in two parts.
Here, you replaced a paragraph with another one, without a reference and with no explanation why you deleted the old paragraph.
While you
added a reference in your next edit, the URL appears to be broken, taking me to a 404 error page.
In
your next edit, you added some ok content, but you removed, again without explanation, some other content without providing a reason in your edit summary as to why that content was removed.
Please add only content that is referenced to Wikipedia, and if you remove content, you should clearly explain in your edit summary and/or on article's talk why something was removed (was it wrong?). Piotrus at Hanyang|

Hangzhou Daily. There is also content in the infobox that needs to be translated (ex.
机关报、

Mcx8202229 It is a good start. But your sandbox is on English Wikipedia. You should copy it to
Chinese Wikipedia - the code on English is not the same as on Chinese one. The sooner you start working in Chinese Wikipedia, the better. I will provide more feedback after you copy your article there. You'll likely need to redo all the hyperlinks after the move and some other content like images or references may display problems.
Thank you Professor, I have translated the article to Chinese Wikipedia. This is the link https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mcx8202229/%E6%B2%99%E7%9B%92

Feedback for the future: For articles that exist on Chinese but not English Wikipedia, please use
Template:Interlanguage link; if it is too hard please ask me in class or during office hours and I'll show you how to use it. Your reference 1 needs to be changed a to a more reliable one, as
WP:BAIDU is not allowed on Wikipedia. Many other references will need to be corrected for missing metadata (author, date, title/translated title, publisher, etc.). There is some content that is unreferenced - remember that each paragraph needs to have one more references that verify its content, including at the end. Lastly, please use a service like

TMXX0818 Good progress. Please use a tool like
Grammarly to check your prose. A lot of the content is hard to understand due to poor translation quality.
Some references in the translated article will need to be replaced with betters sources. For example, reference 71 is to a fan-wiki (
Fandom (website)) and cannot be accepted. YouTube is also not accepted as a source unless we are linking to reporting by major news stations. , so references 31, 32, 55 and 60 will likely need replacing as well.
Due to poor referencing, I expect we may have to drop some parts of the content you translated (no worry, you will still get full credit from your work). I'll ping an experienced volunteer interested in Chinese topic who may be able to provide more feedback on some sources used and other issues:

How much does this article and
Mass media in Taiwan overlap? It is possible that some of this can be added into "Mass media in Taiwan", instead of being a stand-alone article.
Poor sourcing
if we writing about "Controversies related to Taiwanese media", we should seek sources (preferably academic sources) that systematically examine the controversies regarding Taiwanese media. Right now, a large proportion of this article stops at the phenomenal part of the subject and becomes an indiscriminate collection of information-something that Wikipedia is not (see
WP:INDISCRIMINATE). We should also be avoiding
WP:original research.
Let me be a bit more clear about this point: if we want to talk about how "Business purpose" is a part of the "Controversies related to Taiwanese media", we should seek sources that systematically analyses the topic, such as the prevalence of commercialisation in the news industry of Taiwan. It is not enough to list a bunch of examples (news reports that are of very bad quality) as "evidence" and claim that commercialisation is a problem of Taiwanese media. That constitutes original research.
Unfortunately this is the case of the "Business purpose" section (and many similar sections), where we have a 15-ref-long
WP:overcitation, all of them are news of poor quality that the original author of the Chinese Wikipedia page "uses" to "prove" their point of "Business purpose". None of them are
WP:reliable by content: they prove the point by their existence, rather than their content, which is a sign of original research.
On the other hand, the original article has some good sources. Maybe listing them could demonstrate what I mean by "sources that systematically analyses the topic".
Lin, Zhaozhen. "當前台灣近似媒體觀察組織的幾個盲點" [Several blind spots in Taiwan’s current similar media observation organizations]. 新聞學研究. 60: 171–176.
Chen, Zongyi (2006-09-01).
"新台灣新聞週刊 - 假自由真侵擾 新聞公害猖獗" [False freedom is really intrusive, and news pollution is rampant]. web.archive.org. Retrieved 2024-04-03.
Wu, Tingwei (2017-08-28). "從《獨家腥聞》看台灣主流媒體:一場「即時新聞」與「爆料文化」的腥風血雨 - The News Lens 關鍵評論網" [Looking at Taiwan's mainstream media from "Exclusive News": A bloody storm of "instant news" and "explosive culture"]. web.archive.org. Retrieved 2024-04-03.
The original article has bad formatting. Specifically, it uses a lot of "note" templates, which I think is used to support blatant original research in the original article. They need to be discarded.
I am sorry for possibly being critical and sounding harsh, but these are my conclusion and my suggestions for potential improvement. In the future, please make sure the original article is good enough to translate. I will update
User:TheLonelyPather/Essays/Guide for a translator accordingly–you might find it useful too.
Let us see how many these "good" sources we can obtain. If we have enough, then this topic merits a stand-alone article. Regarding the translation, I am afraid that the poor quality of the original article is detrimental to everything that follows. If this is to be published, a lot of extra work is needed, and a lot of the original information needs to be discarded. The original article was tagged with "Inappropriate tone" two years ago. Cheers, --

TheLonelyPather Thank you for the feedback, TLP, with which I fully agree. There are some good parts in the original article, but yes, a lot of the low quality information needs to be discarded per your analysis.@

WSH0927 This is a good start. Things to keep in mind: 1) the beginning of the article (
WP:LEAD) should be a summary of concepts mentioned elsewhere. Right now your lead mentions many facts not repeated (and referenced) later, such as that she had a son An Di.
You will also need to format your references with missing metadata, including translated title (keep the Chinese title but add translated title in the dedicated citation field - ask me for help if you are not sure how to do it). Other missing metadata elements include information about publisher, dates and author information.
In the 'Cultural image' section, the Chinese title needs to include, well, the Chinese title, right now it has only the English title(s).

LIYULUN Well done. You should proofread your article (I recommend a tool like
Grammarly). Some errors may not be caught by AI - please check yourself. For example, the second paragraph talks about the TV series premiere in the future tense, but it already happened. You also need to proofread your 'evaluate' section (which should probably be renamed to 'Reception'). It reads ok until "; the structure of the novel" - there is something unclear about that sentence, missing word/verb; please check with Grammarly. Also, what is "Douqi Continent"? Douqi is not in English. Is this a Chinese concept? Does it have a Chinese Wikipedia article?
Your 'game' paragraph is missing content, it is just an unfinished sentence. If there is a related game, you should provide information - what kind of game, who published it, what are the reviews.
For your references, some are missing English translated title. Others may be missing other metadata like author name, date, publisher, etc.
It would be good if you could find more reviews / reception (more sources). Piotrus at Hanyang|

Mcx8202229 Good start. Please use a tool like
Grammarly to go over your text for vocabulary and grammar.
What is needed is to show how this article meets
WP:GNG (see also
Wikipedia:Notability (television). You have to show the show is important by adding information on awards it won, or showing that it received reviews from major newspapers, magazines or in academic works. You have a good start under "evaluate" section (which needs to be renamed to Reception), but you will need more. Piotrus at Hanyang|

Mcx8202229 Good job. Things to fix in your English article:
your article should have (in the lead and in the infobox) the name of the movie in Chinese. Compare your article to, for example,
No More Bets or
The Knockout (Chinese TV series)
File:3-2312251Q553329.png (image) will soon be deleted because it is not correctly licenced - there is no proof the image is free. You can upload such images to English Wikipedia, but not Wikimedia Commons, and you have to fill in the
WP:FAIRUSE template. If you need help with that, stop by my office hours and I will show you how to do so.
Some references used are not reliable and should be replaced (3, 5-9). You can see this if you install the script we used in Collective Intelligence and Wikipedia class:
User:Headbomb/unreliable . Please install it and check your references - red ones should be replaced.
As for your Chinese translation, it looks good. Remember to proofread your content to ensure that it reads well. When you have translated everything, for comments on the translation quality, you can ask Chinese editors for feedback on

zh:维基百科:同行评 .
Regarding your English project, good job, but there are still things to fix:
Please proofread everything, including the title, using a tool like
Grammarly. The title is not correct (see different meanings of
"pass").
There are also factual errors. For example, you write that "The "English Tiger News" reported, citing Weibo sources," - what is "English Tiger News"? You cite
The Standard (Hong Kong). And it does not mention Weibo, but
WeChat.
You will also need to format your references with missing metadata, including translated title (when citing Chinese sources, keep the Chinese title but add translated title in the dedicated citation field - ask me for help if you are not sure how to do it). Other missing metadata elements include information about publisher, dates and author information. For example, your reference 43 ("
"Hong Kong politicians recall that Li Keqiang is approachable and conscientious, Liang Zhenying posts condolences"") should also display the Chinese title ("港政界忆李克强平易近人做事尽责 梁振英发贴哀悼")
