Hello there Graue, welcome to the 'pedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you need pointers on how we title pages visit Wikipedia:Naming conventions or how to format them visit our manual of style. If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Village pump. BTW, nice work on starting comb sort. Cheers! -- maveric149
I reverted your removal of the {{ wikisourcepar}} link on Xor swap algorithm. The Wikisource article is still there; it's just that {{ wikisourcepar}} is broken at the moment, due to Wikisource's half-hearted move to language-specific subdomains. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon. I think it makes sense to keep the (broken) link for a little while until it's fixed, rather than delete it and hope someone remembers to put it back in a week or two. -- Quuxplusone 17:17, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
The article in its current form is just a one-sentence definition. If it can be expanded into more than that, it makes sense to leave it on its own. Otherwise, I'd rather add it as a one-line external link (to Knuth's article) on the Linked list page. Please note that other than a comment in Sudoku, nothing links (sorry about the pun...) to this article. On Linked list, at least people would find it. Dancing Links is an important topic--don't get me wrong! I just want to find a good home for this stub. Owen× ☎ 03:10, 30 September 2005 (UTC)
Hi. Your negative signs, that you've changed "-"s into in some articles, show up as question marks in my browser. Most websites seem to just use dashes; are you sure that this minor typesetting improvement is worth a loss of accessibility? -- Graue 22:32, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
Crap, sorry about that. I changed my UA string to "Lynx (compatible; w3m/0.5.1)" and now get the workaround -- an exclusive rather than inclusive list for getting the workaround might be a better idea, if you happen to be chatting with the developers.
Regardless, my original question about negative signs remains unanswered, you having responded to it with another question. So I'll ask again: are you sure this minor typesetting improvement is worth a loss of accessibility? -- Graue 00:17, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
Yes, it is a conjunction: [5]. Rmhermen 05:03, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
You created the Combsort article; and also added the mention of Combsort11 to the article. I'm having a bit of a problem verifying this experimentally; what source did you get that information from? Is it the original BYTE article? I'd be very interested. Thanks! squell ( talk) 18:11, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
I am very interested in the magical shrink factor or with the golden ratio in there... Where did it come from? The disappeared web http://world.std.com/~jdveale/combsort.htm linked in the talk page? Was there any proof for that shrink factor? Thanks in advance! -- Como ( talk) 16:34, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Moto (programming language), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's
criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "
What Wikipedia is not" and
Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{
dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on
its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
