Vector software

Thanks :) I used Inkscape to create SVG images. Inkscape is free (GNU-licensed) and available for several platforms. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 15:48, 4 January 2008 (UTC) reply

Vidarbha

There is no hit counter that you can use to trace the number of people visiting a particular Wikipedia article. We have this chart, but it only shows the top 100 most visited articles. Nishkid64 ( talk) 19:30, 23 January 2008 (UTC) reply

Yeah, there are some users here who are toolserv developers. They create their own tools and then host them on tools.wikimedia.de. If you want to learn more, I suggest contacting user:Betacommand. I'm fairly certain he has created some tools here. Nishkid64 ( talk) 06:47, 25 January 2008 (UTC) reply

Narkhed

I fixed the coords on Narkhed. Please check. This kind of thing happens when there are multiple places with the same name. Looks like there is one more Narkhed in Maharashtra that does not have a article yet. Regards, Ganeshk ( talk) 12:08, 19 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Conversion to Indian religions

Can you please explain why you added image showing "mass conversion of Hindus to Buddhism." to Religious conversion page. The image appears to negatively portray Hinduism. I wanted to give you a chance to respond before removing it. Desione ( talk) 07:17, 1 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Hello and thank you for the explanation. To a Hindu or Buddhist that image will appear benign and innocent; however, non-hindus and non-buddhist do not share the same perspective and will interpret that image to mean that it is easy to convert Hindus. So probably a good idea to remove it. Thank you once again Desione ( talk) 07:58, 1 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Indian poteral

Infobox temperature

Hi! I would suggest that temperatures not be kept in the main article space. The article is a summary form and extraneous data should be omitted. Instead, such data should come in the sub article Weather of XYZ. As for the data, there is only one accurate source -- the Indian Meteorological Department. All other websites are non-credible as they do not officially record climate. The BBC site for instance, is several degrees off target for Mumbai's winter climate. =Nichalp «Talk»= 13:24, 3 March 2008 (UTC) reply

You can look at options that autoplot charts from data. See List of Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu for one example. =Nichalp «Talk»= 18:20, 4 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Hello

Dropped in to say Hello!! Although you have been pretty active lately in wikipedia, we have not met yet. Nice to meet you, Mr Pande. Hope your stay in wikipedia is, and will be, great :)-- Dwaipayan ( talk) 15:10, 6 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Hi! Yes, it feels nice when some of your work get noticed, especially in the beginning. I remember when I was new here, users such as Nichalp, Gurubrahma, and many others were so helpful. I see you are not exactly new in Wikipedia. but have become actually active recently, right?-- Dwaipayan ( talk) 15:46, 6 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Re: Katol images

I believe I specified a reason during my removal of the tag. I did a lot of images this morning, so I'm not sure exactly which image you are talking about. If the history doesn't say the reason, let me know the image(s) and I can tell you. Sorry in advance if I didn't provide a reason. MECU talk 18:40, 10 March 2008 (UTC) reply

I think it's possible the uploader could be the owner of these images and the website. I agree it can't be fair use, but the uploader's contribution history seems related to the source website. You should talk to the uploader and see if it's the case. You could list the images at WP:PUI as well to help clarify the matter and a central point of discussion. West India page

Hey, I have been working on the West India, and I feel like a locator map for west India would be very useful. I have been trying to find one in vain. Do you have any clue as to where I might get one ? Also, let me know if you have any suggestions for that page. Thanks. I am invariant under co-ordinate transformations ( talk) 02:23, 13 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Re:State locator maps you are currently working on

I have replied at my talk page. Regards, Ganeshk ( talk) 04:02, 13 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Katol images

I think Gpande wants to settle scores with me.That is the only reason for removing the images.I own those images and Katol is my native place.I have clicked those pictures with my camera. And possibly Gpande has never been to Katol in his life. This imbecile is also spoiling the Nagpur page with his personal agenda.GPande stop editing wikipedia for the public benifit. You can put your energies to better use at home.I will get you banned if you do not heed to this warning. And restore those images as soon as possible. -Niranjan Deshmukh —Preceding unsigned comment added by Niranjandeshmukh ( talkcontribs) 05:57, 13 March 2008 (UTC) reply

bad geography of the template of Mumbai metropolitan area

Byculla comes in south mumbai. it is well known fact. person who put byculla in east suburbs should refresh their geography. similarly chinchpokli also comes in south

Dharavi lies between sion and mahim. matunga lies below dharavi. how can anybody put dharavi in south mumbai and and matunga/wadala in eastern suburbs.

please define south mumbai. if u take south mumbai in literal sense then moth of places like dadae also will not come.

if u consider south mumbai as the region of mumbai below sion , then matunga wadala, sion mahim will also come in south mumbai.

The non-auto rickshaw should be south mumbai then. first set ur basics right then start changing pages

please refer proper map and experts from govt. This template is made my some layman who dont know where is what in Mumbai. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bala 207 ( talkcontribs) 13:41, 20 March 2008 (UTC) reply
