Thanks for uploading Image:Waterloo and city line.png. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) Thanks so much, hike395 14:53, 15 Dec 2004 (UTC)
I was unaware of these associations, what are they? ed g2s • talk 16:34, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Why do you want to delete the Yukos logo in the English wikipedia? There is no explanation on the "images for deletion page". Note: if there is a way to link directly to an image on the Russian wikipedia, please inform me on my talk page. Andrew pmk 18:56, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Please do not delete my thumbnails without asking, they are often special sharpened thumbnails, or palletted PNG's. ed g2s • talk 20:25, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
SOURCE: http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/flagetiq.html ; I claim fair use on the grounds that the flag itself is public domain, as is the process for folding the flag--an illustration of how to do it can certainly be copyrighted, but it using it in an encyclopedia article about the flag and how to fold it certainly seems fair. jengod 21:34, Dec 20, 2004 (UTC)
Re: Image:Ed_g2s.png -
This is for sure you, for sure taken by you. Could you give it whichever tag you wish ( {{pd}}, {{gfdl}}, whatever) so it doesn't get accidentally bit-blasted?
Another user has added the tag. I am okay with that. — iFaqeer (Talk to me!) 22:23, Dec 21, 2004 (UTC)
You wrote me a message concerning the images from sxc.hu I had loaded up to commons and I saw that these pictures have already been deleted. I thought the license is ok if the image-page there says "There are no usage restrictions for this photo." (example: [1])? So, it is not? -- Tsui 11:33, 26 Dec 2004 (UTC) ( commons:User:Tsui or de:Benutzer:Tsui)
I replied to your message on my talk page. -- Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 20:43, 2004 Dec 26 (UTC)
Hi. Here is what the London Underground templated tabulation bit of the Liverpool Street station article currently looks like when viewed with my Mozilla Firefox browser:
and here is how it looks in MSIE 5.0:
I guess this is not as intended. :-) -- Chris j wood 01:11, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)
( Commons:Commons:Really unused). Your sort edit conflicted with a load of edits of mine. Think you could re-run it? Plugwash 02:19, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Hi there Ed. Intrigued co-editor of Arsenal F.C. reporting here. Just curious as to why Jordan, Svard, Garry, Djourou, Skúlason, Smith, Fowler, Larsson, Owu-Abe, and Lupoli no longer have numbers assigned to them.
Have I missed something?
Thank you for your time

Hi! Nice work on the Liquid Crystal Display image; I found it very helpful in understanding how it works. — Matt Crypto 13:15, 6 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Hi Ed, I was just thanking mav for updating the calendar templates for 2005. So I thought I should stop by and say thanks to you too, as I get the impression you did the initial ground work on most of these. Its the sort of thing people take for granted, but they really are very useful. -- Solipsist 13:33, 7 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Why the hell are you using an admin tool in an edit dispute? It is both rude and an abuse of your admin user rights. -- mav 05:12, 14 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Why exactly do you think this nominated picture is too small? Is there some sort of rule that requires featured pictures to be larger than my computer screen that I don't know about? It really annoys me when people say this, so I'd like to see where they're getting it from. Can you help me? Mgm| (talk) 17:45, Jan 22, 2005 (UTC)

Hi Ed! I'm removing all the Upload messages (about the pic not being any larger when clicked on) that I put on the Image Page. I'll catch them all steadily as they come up on my Watchlist - Adrian Pingstone 09:01, 29 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Greetings Ed. Could you tag Image:Arsenal stadium fisheye.jpg? Thanks, – Quadell ( talk) ( sleuth) 20:22, Mar 3, 2005 (UTC)
Sorry to see you didn't want to take credit for you efforts here :) So I reverted to the original image, hope you don't mind... Duk 11:00, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Hi Ed g2s:
I have several state pages on my watchlist (removed personal attack).
I don't know what browser you're using, but your changes are making those pages look really strange in Internet Explorer 6. And yes, I am using a fully patched version of the current build.
If you look at the Microsoft Developer Network documentation, Microsoft's interpretation of the clear attribute is fully consistent with the official W3C documentation.
The MSDN page is:
And the W3C CSS1 standard is at:
So this is one of those few cases where Microsoft is compliant (for once) with Web standards, and it's likely that whatever browser you're using is not W3C-compliant.
I'm too busy to bother with fixing the mess you created, but you might want to revert back your changes before someone else does!

I've tried an independant comparison - I've been using Firefox for the past few months.
California looks the same to me in both IE 6.0 and Firefox 1.0, and I believe both look fine. I'd like to see the second box on
New Jersey and
New York soon. :) -

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to read this! I wanted to take some time to introduce myself to some of the english speaking sysops in the Commons so that if I got into a jam I could call for some instruction. I'm from the old BBS days when we connected phone to phone with C64's and the like. So I understand a bit of the function of your work and it isn't necessarily all that fun all of the time. I hope that I can get to know some of your work better and share mine.
For the most part I fall into the category of an artist. Nearly all of my work is Writing and Music. I've constructed a rudamentary Wiki page in the last 24 hours attached to my signature. At least I have that battle won...
In any case, glad to make your aquaintance and I hope I can be entertaining in my baby steps into the open future.

While not exactly autofellatio vandalism, using language redirects to spam a picture shows malicious intent, just like with page move vandals. I have therefore blocked this user permanently. Mgm| (talk) 14:37, Mar 19, 2005 (UTC)

Hi Ed,
would you be so kind to reduce the size of our Scuderia logo and write also a "(C) Ferrari Press Office" near? This helps to reduce abuses, and Jimbo Wales promised it to me last summer:

Hi Ed,
I'm not really sure whether you are the sort of guy who know's his Iambic pentameter (I don't really). But if so, you might like to improve, correct and extend meta:The Advanced Wikipedian. -- Solipsist 22:37, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)
I thought to just drop a note that the photo you uploaded, Image:Long Beach, CA at night.jpg is now a featured picture. Best of wishes. -- AllyUnion (talk) 01:53, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)
