Sorry Dora the Axe-plorer, I missed out on that discussion, seems entirely appropriate though.

Glad you can agree with the redirect. On another note, thanks for updating the NGDC references Dora the Axe-plorer (

The NGDC updates pretty much suit by abilities right now - only another 250 or so to go. It's a shame that they didn't reach out in advance like the ISC did recently. I kind of feel that this is something that could be done by a bot, but that's way outside my capabilities, Cheers.

USGS
Where to get past earthquakes in USGS? I can't find the Sawu Sea earthquake on USGS.
Also, for 'considering every global agency as well' is unnecessary because if USGS is the most reliable source, then I agree, but if other agency (especially if it is local agency) recorded it beyond >6.0 M, we need to consider it, making USGS less reliable than it.
Furthermore, I think this is very bad idea, if too dependent on USGS only as it may violate
WP:WORLDWIDE. Especially, there are no rigid 'standardization' on wikipedia. Like I said in the talk page, if wanted to only include source from USGS only, consider change it to "List of earthquakes in 2024 by USGS" as the current title "List of earthquakes in 2024" is very misleading to people around the world, including me apparently.
And also, no offense, I'm sorry if I did too bold actions, I just want to help. Peace,

@
EdhyRa, I am not the coordinator of Wikipedia, so do reach out to Mikenorton on his inputs. He's been around longer than I have so he has a better perspective of things.
Note that
WP:WORLDWIDE is not a guideline hence cannot be violated. The USGS covers earthquakes globally (M4+) so I don't see any issue with that even if it was a policy.
Thank you for the reach out, I just checked, and it indeed has 5.7M on USGS. The distance is also different, 104 km from BMKG, 85 km from USGS.
If in the end, the Sawu Sea earthquake is not included, then I'm legawa. Legawa is Indonesian-ism of
Javanese word legowo. If using Google Translate it translated to 'relieved', but I think is mistranslated. Legawa is more like 'surrender/give up, but with good/happy feeling – not the usual resent one'.
Also, pardon me for bits of broken English, I'm from Indonesia, a Javanese currently living in
Malang. The 6.4M East Java earthquake in 22 March 2024, I felt that – my first earthquake tbh. After that, I become interested in
List of earthquakes in 2024, so yeah I'll admit include the Sawu Sea earthquake is may kinda bias from myself.
Best regards,

Your English is fine, don't worry. Glad you have an interest in Wikipedia's Earthquake project.
you may still raise the USGS ref problem in the talk page. But I just see it as standardisation sake. Dora the Axe-plorer (

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024
Hello Dora the Axe-plorer,
Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the
May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the
Awards page and the
Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated
NPP Browser tool.
On 5 April 2024, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article 2024 Taiwan earthquake, which you created. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the
candidates page.

Why are you saying my editing is disrupting? Please NPA
Remember Wikipedia is not a place for personal attack, next time you will be reported, i edited the article long before you, you are no one to judge which is problematic and which is not check July 2022, alswo I gave
WP:RS. Anyway I don't want to engage with
Wp:EW but this is a STRICT warning, next time you falsely accuse me of problematic edit be ready to be reported! See
WP:ASPERSIONS. I am a busy person now and to avoid
WP:EW which seems to be your desire will refrain now but will add it later again when am free, but if you are gonna edit Wikipedia follow the rules and never engage in Personal Attack!
Dilbaggg (
talk) 09:53, 10 April 2024 (UTC)reply
This is not a reply it is called a warning, we have the right to warn those who violate Wikipedia guidlines, anyway unlike your aggressive
WP:EW mentality edit I decided not to start content dispute now as per
WP:TRR, but I warn you again not to leave personal attacks on your edit summary and I will fix the mess later, no time to seek
WP:DR at the moment cause of my busy life but hope to fix it tgo the actual older version where this entry was there before when I am free.

Dilbaggg Falsely accusing someone of personal attacks when you don't have evidence is a problem. You are not warning, you are threatening me without basis. Present your evidence Dora the Axe-plorer (
explore) 10:04, 10 April 2024 (UTC)reply
This is again another warning, be grateful that I did not report you yet, see edit summary you canot change it
[1] quoting you " Disrupting the list", "causing problems" these are personal attacks, check
WP:ASPERSIONS, I am letting you also cause you are new to the guidelines, but do not test my patience, I gave valid reason and long before you started editing this entry was removed without proper consensus, I hope you can learn from this mistake, anyway it may be added back later as it was removed without consensus, sadly I am currently kinda busy and don't want
WP:TRR broken, but do not engage in personal attacks again and best wishes to you on your future on Wikipedia, take care.
Dilbaggg (
talk) 10:11, 10 April 2024 (UTC)reply
The list has been ranked with the top 10 entries, you added an additional one to make it 11, that's not disruptive? Dora the Axe-plorer (
explore) 10:15, 10 April 2024 (UTC)reply
I did that cause I didn't want to remove the 1920 earthquake just yet, we are allowed to change the title, check the title before 2010, then before 2020, titles can change, ok maybe it wasn't right to change title heading but I did that to not exclude the 1920 earthquake just yet but if any gets removed than its that one, as the list is of the highest estimated death toll,
WP:RS supports it and check old edits and you can see even 2 years ago 1556 earthquake was there and was removed without consenus. Anyway no hard feelings, you seem to be a good editor, but just don't accuse other editors of wrong things which count as personal attack and assume
WP:AGF and 1556 one can be added back anytime as it was removed without consensus.
Dilbaggg (
talk) 10:23, 10 April 2024 (UTC)reply
@
Dilbaggg I started a discussion in the list's talk page, I hope we can find common grounds and agree on something. Dora the Axe-plorer (
explore) 10:29, 10 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Anyway this warning is not a punishment, it is your chance to become a better editor and comply with
WP:NPA and avoid
WP:EW and actually learn guidlines, also I can add it back (after a certain time) as it was originally there long before you came and it was removed without
WP:RfC, a consensus would be needed to remove it, not add it, but am busy for now, good day.
Dilbaggg (

BTW telling me you have edited the page before I for personal validation to prove you are "superior" .. tell me that's not a threat/attack Dora the Axe-plorer (
explore) 10:06, 10 April 2024 (UTC)reply
I am not trying to be superior, I have the right to warn editors about personal attacks! Don't do it again and take care.
Dilbaggg (
talk) 10:11, 10 April 2024 (UTC)reply
I strongly disagree with that, looking at the wording in your edit summaries. That felt like an attack and if I interpret it as an attack or threat, it is one, irregardless of your actual intentions. Dora the Axe-plorer (
explore) 11:41, 10 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Regarding your creation of
this article, we would not stylize the article title like that anyway per
MOS:CT and
MOS:CAPS. Also, I think you know there was nothing located at
So High School, so you should have at least requested a move of
So High School (song) at
WP:RM/TR, even though this song isn't particularly notable on its own yet, so don't be surprised if another Taylor Swift-focused editor comes along and redirects it. Thank you. Ss112 04:55, 21 April 2024 (UTC)reply
@
Ss112 If you looked into the article history, I was in the midst of developing. I don't have another set of arms to complete two tasks at the same time. Thanks for completing the move Dora the Axe-plorer (
explore) 05:05, 21 April 2024 (UTC)reply
You don't need "another set of arms". Fair enough that you may have been in the process of developing the article, but after creating an article, it would have taken a matter of seconds to pull up another tab (which every modern Internet browser is capable of doing) and navigate to
WP:RM/TR to request it be moved. In case you're in the process of making them, not every one of Swift's album tracks needs an article—Ippantekina and another user redirected several you created the other day. All that being said, this isn't to say that you wouldn't have requested the move. But in case you weren't going to, this is also for future reference. Ss112 14:38, 21 April 2024 (UTC)reply
