Don Ienner

Hi, I am Don Ienner's son helping my dad out with his Wikipedia article. Recently I posted a few suggestions to update his page. I saw that you have an interest in music and thought you might like to help with editing this page, since my understanding is that because of my conflict of interest I should not make any edits myself. Here is a link to my suggestions. Thanks so much. GarrettEye ( talk) 20:35, 21 November 2023 (UTC) reply

Bebe Rexha

Hello. Hope you are doing well. Saw you made an edit at the Bebe Rexha talkpage article yesterday. I want to make an edit at the main one but it is semi-protected and since chances for an answer at the tp are slim, judging on the article's history, I would like to ask you to remove the category 21st-century Albanian singers since only her ethnicity is Albanian and thus, calling her an Albanian singer is wrong. Thank you in advance. 89.210.37.48 ( talk) 03:19, 23 January 2024 (UTC) reply

  • If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.

Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

Unfamiliar acronym C/E

DepressedPer, when you edited List of 2018 albums and removed citations from self-notable albums, in the edit summary you stated "C/E". What does "C/E" mean? There is no wording I can come up with that makes that into a meaningful statement, so I am sure I am missing something simple, it just eludes me. Thanks. Thank you for your reduction work on the List of 20xx albums series

Thank you for removing the compilation albums from the series of album lists. What I appreciate most is that you understand that the series of lists is one grouping of lists, and that the rules and decisions that we make in latter days apply to the whole series of lists. When the lists were first created, there was no issue with including greatest hits, but after QuietHere joined the editing of the lists, that user made and enforced the decision to remove compilation albums, and since the lists have been getting very large, I did not disagree. We eventually formalized what types of albums applied to the lists, and posted the definition at the top of every list, but until you started doing the work, no-one was cleaning out the compilation albums.

Again, thank you for your work. Mburrell ( talk) 22:56, 20 April 2024 (UTC) reply

The other thing I want to thank you is for understanding that the lists are generally done in waves, over time. Most of the energy of most users is focused on the most current lists, but the albums that are being added are relatively new, or haven't even been released yet, and the album articles are in their early stages, starter articles mostly. However, wait a few years, and the album articles become better developed, and it is worth the time to pass through the lists and compare to the album articles to see what has been updated in the matured album articles. After four or five years, the album genres have generally been settled upon. More citations are added and non-notable (by the definition of the list article requirements) have shifted over into being self-notable. In some cases album articles have been created when they were previously non-existent. Occasionally, an album article is removed for non-notability. Basically, it is good to peruse the lists after four or five more years or longer has passed and to see what has changed. You started doing this with the List of 2018 albums, which inspired me to to that with the List of 2019 albums. I don't intend to do any review of the 2020 and newer lists anytime soon, but I think I will continue with the older lists, and I appreciate the work you have been doing as well, plus inspiring me to dig back into the older lists. Thanks. Mburrell ( talk) 23:06, 20 April 2024 (UTC) reply
