Dear Diannaa,
Thank you for pointing out copyright issues on 2 edits I made on the page - History of the Jews in Los Angeles . I am new here and still learning the ropes, so it is appreciated.
  1. Regarding the first edit you deleted https://www.sinaiakiba.org/about/mission-and-values, I didn't realize that an "about" section of a school is also under copyright. I will just add Sinai Akiba to the school list and the age levels they teach, so that the education section will be more complete, and thereby including a Jewish Conservative school in the list of schools. So I guess that solves that problem.
  2. Regarding the following source https://www.science.co.il/hi/turkish/articles/Hattem-.php. I didn't realize closely paraphrasing is not allowed. However some important factual information has been deleted. Would the following addition be acceptable? Although the first Sephardic religious congregation, Congregation Avat Shalom, led by Rabbi Abraham Caraco, was founded in 1912, and held religious services in member’s homes, the first Sephardic synagogue in Los Angeles was only dedicated twenty years later, in 1932, and is now known as the Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel. That version looks okay from a copyright point of view. — Diannaa ( talk) 22:11, 27 March 2024 (UTC) reply

How do you Ping someone?

This successfully pinged me! You can read all about it at H:PING. I tend to use Template:u for pinging one person and Template:yo for pinging multiple people. Firefangledfeathers ( talk / contribs) 13:14, 29 March 2024 (UTC) reply
