Possibly unfree Image:Old_Bicycle_Path_Railroad_Crossing_in_Medford_New_York.jpg

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Old_Bicycle_Path_Railroad_Crossing_in_Medford_New_York.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Kelly hi! 15:04, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:1950 Vets Highway Map.JPG}

Thank you for uploading Image:1950 Vets Highway Map.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. 3RR violation

Warning
Warning

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing at Image:1950 Vets Highway Map.JPG. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. -- NE2 03:18, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

WP:AN notice

Your editing is being discussed at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard#DanTD_and_unfree_images. -- Ricky81682 ( talk) 03:20, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Blocked

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule . Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

This is no way to behave. There are processes for dealing with image usage and deleting a FUR query is not one of them. -- Rodhullandemu ( Talk) 03:22, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

A frozen computer prevented me from defending my actions. Besides this, NE2 has a bad habit of tagging images for deletion that are irreplaceable, and serve as evidence of content within articles.

Decline reason:

Sorry, but you still violated WP:3RR. — Jmlk 1 7 03:43, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{ unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

DanTD ( block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser ( log))

Request reason:

I get blocked for saving an image from deletion, but NE2 doesn't get blocked for deleting them in the first place? Something's wrong with this picture. I'm willing to discuss the issue after I'm unblocked, if required. And BTW, I thought I could still edit my user page while being blocked, but not anything else.

Decline reason:

I concur with Jmlk17's assessment. Regardless of whether or not NE2 also did something wrong, breaking the rule in retaliation for someone else breaking the rules is never the correct route to take. — Trusilver 04:13, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

WPLI

Hi, I've made a redirect so you can use "WPLI" for a tag now. Badagnani ( talk) 00:55, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Further FYI

Dan, further, I don't know if you are aware, but as an admin, I could very easily see all the image you uploaded that there were, for whatever reason (both the images and all the old text), deleted. If you do meet someone from the map taskforce and want that stuff back so they can create free images, I can help. Just ask. -- Ricky81682 ( talk) 04:25, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Just as long as you actually have a discussion on the talk page. If there's an issue, feel free to ask me. -- Ricky81682 ( talk) 04:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Seeing User:DanTD/My Image List, if you want, I can scan through the images you have uploaded that have been deleted and add some more. Also, you should make a note on the talk pages of the images as to why you think each one shouldn't be deleted. You could always try a link to the WP:ANI discussion (once it gets archived so the link is permanent or just use a diff instead) and maybe you'll get a lucky sympathetic admin. Good luck. -- Ricky81682 ( talk) 06:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:1973 NY 347-25 Proposed Improvements-1-.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:1973 NY 347-25 Proposed Improvements-1-.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot ( talk) 00:35, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of List of Airlines in Alaska

I have nominated List of Airlines in Alaska, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Airlines in Alaska. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Page name glitch

Please accept my apologies regarding this. This was a temporary software glitch, caused by the page name blacklist not working in the way I expected. I've now reverted the change, and you should not be troubled by this again. -- The Anome ( talk) 13:16, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Jacksonville Amtrak station

I was going to get more pictures of the station, but there were 10-15 TSA officers at the station today and I didn't want to look suspicious taking a bunch of pictures of the building. I'm going back there next month though so if it's not packed with TSA officers again, I will take more pictures. Murjax ( talk) 22:55, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
