Why do I keep getting an upload error when I try to upload a .wav file? It says it's not an acceptable image type. I've seen that others are having this problem too.

This is because your audio formats must be in an open source format, .ogg . This can be converted using one of the many programs on the internet. If you need more help, contact me!

After conversion, you must enter C:\YourFile.ogg to upload to wikipedia, and the destination filename should be YourFile.ogg. Also, don't forget about licensing!! -- T yson Moore 16:43, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

When I was uploading it, I entered only the filename, not the extension ".ogg" in the "destination filname" field, because I got confused and thought I was just supposed to put in a name. I guess I assumed that it would add the extension based on the filetype.
