Hi Brianhe, With your work related to COI, would you be willing to take a look at the quality of references and main contributor of the Fifth-wave feminism article and provide feedback when you have a chance? Thank you. Hmlarson ( talk) 01:01, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
Hi, just noticed this person's edits, and I agree with you that these seem to be another attack from a persistent hoaxer. I ran into them as CompUSA back in September. Any reason why you didn't submit to AIV? I've done it now, anyway. Blythwood ( talk) 02:40, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
@ DGG, Smartse, and Montanabw: and my stalkers. Something I did related to In The News was characterized by two regular editors there as canvassing [2] [3]. A second opinion would be welcome. If I messed up I'd really like to know. If not, well... Brianhe ( talk) 17:01, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
To me, the real problem is that we forget it's not a vote. It shouldn't matter that 101 stamp collecting editors showed up to cheer on the Mauritania stamp event. It isn't how many editors say it, it's whether their arguments are any good. If 100 of them pile on to repeat the same argument, it shouldn't add any weight to the first one.
But numbers do, unfortunately, sway outcomes. So maybe the decision at ITN will be less than fair. So what? Let the stamp collectors say what they think, and don't demand perfection.
An alternative would be to seek input not from stamp collectors, or Mauritania geeks, but a project comparable to ITN that also chooses articles to feature. Such as DYK, or the Portals project, Featured Images, etc. Specialists in finding things significant, rather then the subject. You'd catch less flack that way. -- Dennis Bratland ( talk) 04:21, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
Please stay off my talk page as you were ask to do in the past, you are not welcome there with your inappropriate warnings. Keep any interaction with me to a article talk page that is more than sufficient. You should have as you very well know not tampered with my article talk page edits. The reverts done to the puppet accounts that collapsed my comments were days old and in no danger of the WP:3RR violation. It is also highly suspicious that they used your same inept reasoning to do so. Also with all of your derogatory statements about me on article talk pages your distaste of me is clear, so one would have to interpret your actions as just confrontational in a effort to solely provoke me. Do I really need to go to a noticeboard and get a admin involved? 72bikers ( talk) 02:03, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
Helpful advice but, sadly, ignored

72bikers, although it looks like you have been on wikipedia for some time now, since October 2015 if I'm reading the logfiles correctly, there are some things I feel I ought to point out. If you want to hear straight from an administrator, here is a way to start -- Wikipedia:Requests_for_administrator_attention#informal_advice -- but if you just want my non-admin opinion, you are in the right place :-)
|
72bikers, you can bug me on my own usertalk page if none of the stuff above makes sense (or any time really), or if you prefer you can keep the conversation here, Brianhe knows (at least subconsciously :-) all the stuff I just brought up, as well, and can answer questions or explain stuff, or at least give pointers to pages which do explain if time does not permit jamming out a handwritten explanation. See also the handy list of contact-an-admin-about-XYZ using the {{ Admin help}} thing mentioned at WP:RAA#informal_advice, and other mechanisms listed elsewhere on that help-page. 47.222.203.135 ( talk) 11:57, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
Hi Brianhe! Nice to talk to you again, hope you had a great holiday. I noticed you did a rewrite of Bushwacker, that's great. I have been doing rewrites of all the bucking bull articles, but that's great you did that one. Obviously, I don't own them-I didn't create them. But to let you know, I have a copy of Chicken on a Chain in my sandbox and it's almost finished being rewritten, so if you could please leave that one if you were thinking of working on it. I should be updating it by tomorrow. It would be much appreciated so I don't have done all the rewriting and expansion of it for nothing... I was also planning to work on the others but if you want to I just ask that you could let me know is all. Thanks so much. Nice rewrite on Bushwacker, btw. Also, the things we talked about on montanabw page about users finding the page was never resolved. That the disambiguation. I tried to figure it out myself, but I still haven't quite got the knack of it yet. dawnleelynn (talk) 17:33, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
P.S. About 1/3 or a bit more of the content in the live aticle of Chicken on a Chain is copied word for word from two existing Professional Bull Rider's articles, so that is another reason why just a rewrite is not enough. .... dawnleelynn (talk) 17:36, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

BTW, not sure if you'd be interested, but some WikiProject Cannabis participants want to organize a 420 collaboration in April. Could be really interesting to see who elects to participate and what articles are improved (could be anything from culture to law to politics to medicine). --- Another Believer ( Talk) 22:43, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
Re: Draft:Hemp hurds. First of all, thank you for creating this article. I removed the talk page category, however, since the 420 collaboration isn't taking place until the second half of April. Maybe we can add a "Drafts" section on the project page to show ongoing works in progress for folks to work on during the campaign? --- Another Believer ( Talk) 03:42, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
Consensus was not that it was a content dispute, the user has issues with the english language and disruptive editing. I suggest you re-edit your closure. Duqsene ( talk) 20:39, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
Duqsene, I do not think personal attack would solve any issues. @ Brianhe please note that I have been trying hard to reach consensus with Duqsene in the article Sultanate of Showa [5] [6]and user seems not interested to respond to my questions so that his reasoning to delete sourced content is clear, and once the issue is clear then I thought may be I could address them before requesting other editors intervention. Even after I have listed over 7 reasons for the importance of including the disputed content user seems to focus on the editor instead of dealing with the content presented. As for the personal attack by Robert claiming I have "nationalistic outburst", well I have requested for clarification as to why he said that, and so far user did not clarify and explained how my comments are regarded as "nationalistic outburst" (and for which nationalisitc group) by providing diffs. I believe an editor needs to know what he is talking about and not just repeat what other editors have said by not analysing what they are talking about. — EthiopianHabesha ( talk) 13:47, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
Hi Brianhe:
I received a warning from you about the John Bohlinger (Musician) page. I want to clear up any misunderstanding.
The majority of this wiki page came from a journalist named Aaron Barnhart who wrote an article about me for Montana Quarterly:
I've been the music director/ band leader for many TV shows over the past 15 years, and I am a writer and primary video contributor for Premier Guitar magazine.
I do add to my wiki page as my list of work grows, but I will stop doing that if that is discouraged. Premier Guitar could do it in the future for me
If there's anything you need from me to verify the information on my wiki page, I'm happy to get it for you.
I'm not really sure if this is how one contacts you. If there's a better way, please let me know.
Thanks john — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnbohlinger ( talk • contribs) 00:28, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Women's March on Seattle is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Women's March on Seattle until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. — JFG talk 10:50, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Hello Brianhe, I noticed you've been translating some German materials; are you a native speaker and/or active on de.wikipedia?
The reason I ask is that I created a category tree for Category:Cannabis by country over at de.wikipedia a few months back, and it was nominated for deletion in what was apparently a *very* lengthy argument involving much larger disputes. Not to drag you into the fight, but if you have a chance to look at de:Wikipedia_Diskussion:WikiProjekt_Kategorien#Kategorie:Hanf_nach_Staat, I'm curious whether it would eventually be worth re-litigating the issue of whether de.wikipedia should have a "cannabis by country" tree like we have in 17 languages now (admittedly 15 of those created by me). No pressure and no hurry, just bringing it to your attention. Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney ( talk) 00:44, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

We now have 816 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at
PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.
The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.
Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.
This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and
Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

Hi Brian, the edit that I made to the New England Conservatory's wikipedia page is to include a reference to the vocal pedagogy program. This program exists and offers degrees: see website. The link I included is the official website and blog for that program, and is also an active link on the official NEC website page that I just linked to. I would appreciate your reinstating my edit, unless there is a different issue that I do not understand. All best, Ian

I'm looking for someone with common sense to rescue People's Climate March (2017) from speedy deletion. This article mentions 30+ planned demonstrations next weekend, but some editors have decided it's too soon for this article (despite the GA promotion of Not My Presidents Day, the existence of Tax March prior to the day of, and the existence of March for Science, which has not yet taken place). Would you be willing to remove the speedy delete tag? If not, no problem, just thought I'd ask. --- Another Believer ( Talk) 19:38, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
As you have edited the Slate Star Codex article, I thought you might be interested to know that it has been nominated for deletion. I was notified by the nominator, but it doesn't look like you were, so I am rectifying that situation by leaving this comment. Please note that deletion discussions are not votes, and closing administrators might pay greater attention to comments referencing Wikipedia policies and guidelines than to those that don't, or those that simply restate points already made. It's also worth noting that deletion discussions are said to typically remain open for at least 7 days, except in cases where credible grounds for speedy deletion are identified.-- greenrd ( talk) 21:14, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

Daniel forwarded me to you Bri. 2 years ago I had created a page 'Anuradha Bhattacharyya'. She had 5 published books to her credit. However, there was no mention of her name in any newspapers then (except in The Hans as a participant poet in a poetry festival). Now she has 2 more books. The novel One Word has won a government prize in her state. All the newspapers in English, Hindi and Punjabi mention the 'Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi honour for writers/authors'. In the photograph, she is standing in the middle. Her name is spelt 'Anuradha Bhattacharya' which is a sub-editor's error. Bengalis do not spell it wrong; Punjabis do. Still there are 3 distinct sources which say that Anuradha Bhattacharyya has received the Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi Award for Best Book in 2016 for her novel One Word. I think this makes her notable. Please publish the page I had created. Here are the links:

Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon Despite its wide reach, content on Wikipedia suffers from the bias of its editors: white, technically inclined, English-speaking men that live in developed, majority-Christian countries. This represents an alarming absence of voices in an increasingly important repository of shared knowledge. In an effort to change this, the Jake is organizing a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on Saturday, May 6th, 1 - 5 pm. Our mission is to bring together diverse communities to participate in Wikipedia editing, and improve its coverage of queer people and women of color in the arts. Hello, Bri. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).
Please take a moment to review
Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially
the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow
post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using
Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to
secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status
can be revoked.

@Bri, I am not directly related to the subject but have keen interest to update data about people I adore as role models in diverse fields. If I could get in touch with at least his sub-ordinates, then I won't have to search and find references from online at my own. I am grateful to a Business person from my country, who has never got involved in scams or tax evasion cases but done a lot to encourage sports/cultural events. Each and every event by them creates temporary employment opportunities for many, especially the workers from the lower income group. I may display the COI disclosure at my talk page tomorrow. Since rolling out the right in November, just 6 months ago, we now have 816 reviewers, but the backlog is still mysteriously growing fast. If every reviewer did just 55 reviews, the 22,000 backlog would be gone, in a flash, schwoop, just like that!
But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

I am a major contributor to the bio of a living person, Jim Nyamu. I've recently been contacted by Mr. Nyamu, which raises questions. He and I have had minor interactions in the past; i.e., he has liked some of my tweets related to his efforts on behalf of elephants. However, he has never before asked for revisions/additions to the Wikipedia entry. You contacted me previously about my references to self-published information (his blog, Instagram account, YouTube channel, etc.) that you deleted. I reviewed Wikipedia's policies in this area, and appreciate your help.
In his recent note to me (sent by Twitter direct message), Mr. Nyamu noted that he was no longer the coordinator of SAWA. He asked instead that he be listed as the "leader of Ivory Belongs to Elephants," which is the formal name of the movement. I made these changes, as they seemed reasonable and are supported by previous news reporting about him.
He also noted that his most recent walk, from Nairobi to Marsabit, was successfully completed on 9 May 2017. I asked him to send me a link to any news reports about this. Additionally, he asked that I use a different photo of him. I'm sure he has photos that he may think are of a higher quality; however, I explained to him that the only reason the current photo is in place is because I personally took the photo and thus had the copyright.
My questions are threefold: (1) If he sends me a photo of himself to which he owns copyright, can I replace the current photo per his wishes? (2) Can I add a reference to a news article about the end of the Nairobi-to-Marsabit walk? And (3) Should I walk away from this entry entirely? I empathize with Nyamu's efforts; however, I have no desire to overstep COI policies. Thank you. Kcroes ( talk) 20:05, 22 May 2017 (UTC)

Bri, I need someone uninvolved to take a look at the editor creating the articles at issue here. I've run across the same issues with him in some rodeo articles and he seems to have caused similar issues on some golf articles, possibly some boxing ones too. I think he might be a sock or an undisclosed paid editor, but my radar is sometimes off when it's a set of articles where I am involved. Might just be overeager, but he's not a newbie, so... Hello Bri,
I am dress wedding, formerly known as dave wedding dress. I am 50/50 partners with Stephen DeAngelo in Harborside, Oakland. I am hoping you deleted my entries due to my ignorance of wiki protocol about not posting about oneself. I saw the Harborside info and realized I wanted credit as well.

Are you familiar enough the AfD to determine if this nomination has been submitted properly? I'm not sure the page correctly shows that 3 pages were nominated for deletion together. (I tried including a 4th -- Sasha Velour -- unsuccessfully.) Not asking you to participate in the discussion, but just rather assess if the nomination was submitted correctly, if you have a moment. The article House Resolution 1227 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No notability. There are thousands of House Resolutions that are ignored every year, and there's no other claim of notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Hi Bri, you have been editing a page on me, Nina Teicholz, based on the presumption that a PR firm wrote it. I do not have a PR firm and did not hire anyone to write this page. I have a large and passionate fan base, and it's quite possible someone else did. Please do not delete referenced material on this page. Dear Bri,
Hi and thanks for editing my page and helping me. I knew I will have some issues but I would like to explain me the steps that I have to do to remove the banner and some copight the bigger banner underneath. To just explain you I have the copyright permission from Misel Klesinger and he allowed me at first to use all the photos which where provided, Use all the information which he checked and it is right. What kind of letter of document do you need so you are sure that I follow the copyright instructions.
If you can list me staff that I should do to clean all the banner would be awesome. Long time ago I did few contributions but last time I have done it was 8 years ago so I guess I misslearned how to do it proparly! And would Like to knwo the same regarding the photo uploads.

Following my vote you deliberately intended to obstruct or defeat the project's purpose...by your...unexplained removal of encyclopedic content [11] in that you: 1.) Removed my edit from the Marsha Albert article that provided the exact broadcast she had made; and 2.) Removed my edit from the Pensmore article containing its owner information that contained important context. Your actions against these two edits of mine can logically be construed as your being vindictive against me due to my disagreeing with your assessment that EURACTIV should not be deleted. With this WP:WARNING my hope is that you’ll immediately revert your edits to these two articles in order to make them whole again. Thank you. ScotKreek ( talk) 10:24, 23 August 2017 (UTC)
What I'm going to do here is self revert at Marsha Albert. Which I had completely forgotten about but I now see is an unformatted YouTube link. Other people can do as they please with it. Then we can see which revision has consensus. As far as Pensmore those were legit deletions of unrelated or unsourced material [12]. The usual thing to do is either restore them with a better source, or agree that they are unfit. What about that instead of claiming that a user who has been here for a decade creating hundreds of new articles, when you yourself appear, has suddenly decided to obstruct or defeat the project's purpose. Also you might want to invest in headgear in case boomerangs start flying around. ☆ Bri ( talk) 14:39, 23 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi. I noticed you finnished the discussion about Demitz on COI. In my opinion it was a little bit to fast, althogh user:SergeWoodzing wrote he will not write in those articles more. As you can see in the discussion user:Domdeparis, just like me, has other concerns about the technique of sourcing articles to find false positives. He also shows some about the bad sourcing that user:Elzo 90 also comments on and shows diffs on, with self published sources (which was one of the big reasons for the permanent block from Swedish wikipedia exept the promo of Demitz and every time blaming everyone else for harrasements.) By closing it too fast I think we have not come to a solution about the Swedish nobilities and sourcing them, and I guess Domdeparis saw other things too that might need a clean up here. I do not really know how it works on enwp, because I do not use to be involved like this here (I am admin on svwp).
Just to show were I am in this case: I was involved in the sourcing-affair here on enwp, and also in the block on svwp because of that (but only in the end of the blocking discussion, when Elzo showed the own produced source and I digged some in it like Domdeparis did here). A have after that discussion been a mediator here in one other user and SW, and solved it - in that discussion I opened up for mediat so he would be able to come back to svwp under special agreements.
My goal by writing to you is not a permanent block, but a solution so that he still may edit here (I know it is a life style to be a wikipedian), but in the same time protect enwp aganist the sourcing problems. Hope you can inspect this matter and do the neccecary thing to get a real closure. best regards, Adville ( talk) 22:47, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi Bri. Requesting you to provide the draft of my article 'July Systems Inc' that you proposed for deletion on 1 February 2017. I would like to make the necessary changes to rewrite it with a neutral view and improve it as per Wikipedia guidelines. Also, I would request you to provide suggestions to improve this article. Furthermore, I like to clarify that my account is not a SPA. I would certainly like to contribute more on Wikipedia going forward. Thanks Shahzadkhundmeri ( talk) 12:01, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
On 8 December 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Washington's 45th state senate district special election, 2017, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Manka Dhingra's election to the Washington State Senate gave Democrats complete control of the state's government? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Washington's 45th state senate district special election, 2017. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, Washington's 45th state senate district special election, 2017), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi. Patrolling the CSD queue I came across Blue Fox Entertainment. Could you explain your suspicions behind the authorship to me? I'm probably being stupid but I can't understand the link to the sock farm. EA inspect damage⁄ berate 08:32, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
I am so, so sorry! I can't believe I am holding things up. No the humour article is not done, your editing is wonderful but I have one more 'pedia to add. It is 8pm where I am. Can we hold off publishing until 12pm tomorrow morning. I was busy doing some article damage control and buying gifts for the grandkids. Best Regards, Barbara (WVS) ✐ ✉ 00:49, 15 December 2017 (UTC)

After a very long and unexpectedly heated exchange with the user with the name with lots of numbers. I have a few things you should know first of all I have no desire the bias the articles in our favor and the other hand when they are full of inaccurate information and gossip about living people it must be fixed . We are private people who shun publicity.we want no promotional articles we would happy to to have no articles. As those articles are here to stay we ask that they are not full of personal information and are fair and balanced. If you have any questions on my future edits on the articles and you want verification and sources ask me and I will get as quickly as possible. But I can’t let inaccurate information stay on that page as some of it is very personal. For you this is a article one of thousands for me it is a my family I knew and know these people they have children and grandchildren it must be as accurate as possible for there sake when you google it is the first thing you get tell free to contact me at any time Flamingoflorida ( talk) 00:00, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
Thanks so much Flamingoflorida ( talk) 00:25, 22 December 2017 (UTC) Everything is now correct while they may be minor corrections as in adding sources or grammar the information is accurate nobody in the family would object to anything I hope it is fair and balanced as I intended I didn’t put any opinion or unsourced information Flamingoflorida ( talk) 00:40, 22 December 2017 (UTC) One more thing to know I’m a perfectionist Flamingoflorida ( talk) 00:44, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
