Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Bob Stein - VisiBone", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because Visibone is Bob's company making quick reference cards. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Hi, Bob - I love your stuff. I've got one of your reference cards right here within easy reach. Glad to see you here and contributing. While I sometimes detest the number of rules Wikipedia has amassed, I find they help maintain some semblance of balance, and I hope you don't mind considering changing user names to one that's not promotional. Best regards! ke4roh ( talk) 19:39, 7 May 2013 (UTC) reply

A bit more digging shows that promotional names weren't against the rules when you made your first edit. Perhaps that'll fit you into the grandfather clause. -- ke4roh ( talk) 20:46, 7 May 2013 (UTC) reply
Ah, back in the good old days, when things were simple and Willy on Wheels was still at large. Yeah, Bob, you're fine. You and I are both wiki-elderly and your name is grandfathered in. :-) Cheers, Danger High voltage! 20:26, 17 May 2013 (UTC) reply
Ah, thanks for the careful consideration, all. I was going for uniqueness, something to distinguish from the other Bob Stein's out there that was more informative and less annoying than Bob792395. I may have at some point felt a twinge of actual glee at the promotional side effects but it wasn't the main intent. Glad to hear, Ke4roh, that you use my stuff! Interesting research question: people with real names in their Wikipedia username, are they more nice? Less bold? Bob Stein - VisiBone ( talk) 07:47, 21 May 2013 (UTC) reply

Dude, where's the tip-jar to put you up in an Ivory Tower and just turn out beautiful, informative visuals? I'm 75% serious. You must know of Edward Tufte... Bob Stein - VisiBone ( talk) 16:58, 7 November 2014 (UTC) reply

User:SwisterTwister deleting Bokka page

Regarding your latest message, those claims cannot alone support an article and we instead need substantial news about them and not simply announcements and notices that are casually or thinly shout them or others, since notability cannot be inherited. SwisterTwister talk 17:24, 20 October 2017 (UTC) reply

SwisterTwister, (1) When responding on a user's page, please add a new section, and link to what you're talking about. Don't simply disrupt the end of another section. (2) No you don't. There is sufficient notability for there to be a Wikipedia page on that subject. You are deleting useful work for specious reasons. Bob Stein - VisiBone ( talk) 17:55, 20 October 2017 (UTC) reply
