Isleta Pueblo meetup

Hi -

Fantastic - great to have you on board! Just looking over your edit history and clearly you'd be a wonderful person to have at this event.

I'm in transit at the moment, so probably won't see any new messages after this. Please contact User:Skyerise who is also attending and should be able to help out with directions and other queries. I will email the conference organizers and arrange for you to get a free pass to the session and the following lunch (so can you please tell me your real name and contact me soonest)? If you are coming by car, directions are on the Isleta Pueblo resort website. If by public transport, the nearest station is Isleta Railrunner and there is a free shuttle from the station to the resort. I don't know how frequent it is - you might need to contact the Isleta resort people directly at (505) 724-3800. The session starts at 10:30 and you shouldn't need to bring more than yourself and maybe a laptop - we will be getting people to edit WP in the session and you, I, Skyerise and Ssenier will be running around helping out whenever people need help with markup etc. Vizjim ( talk) 08:50, 11 March 2015 (UTC) (PS: James Mackay in real life :)) reply

Hi Ahalenia, you can contact me on my talk page or via Wikipedia email. Good to have you participating! Skyerise ( talk) 15:39, 11 March 2015 (UTC) reply

Hi folks, thanks for the quick response. I've been to the Isleta Pueblo resort before, so finding it's no problem. Beautiful but smoky—hopefully the meeting room is far away from the casino. Will follow up with email. - Ahalenia ( talk) 17:12, 11 March 2015 (UTC)Ahalenia reply

Eastern Agricultural Complex

Per your edit here, the eastern agricultural complex was one of 10/11 instances of the independent inventions of agriculture in the world ( History of agriculture and Center of origin), not one of 10 or 11 in the Americas before the arrival of Europeans or Africans. I'm not sure why you made that edit, other than you were replacing "prehistory" with "precontact" without actually checking on it's context within the sentence, article or subject matter. Disambiguation link notification for December 1

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mary Sully, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Episcopal ( check to confirm |  fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot ( talk) 09:15, 1 December 2019 (UTC) reply

Montagnais

My apologies Ahalenia for the stupid error. I miss-read Innu on the disambiguation page (I know the word Innu as I live in NL). As you know computers encourage fast reading and elderly eyesight doesn't help matters! I fully realise that I am an ignorant southerner but hope you northerners will eventually fix the problems with the Eskimo article. I have learnt much by straying by chance there, but I will try and keep my mouth shut and let you, and the others, fix things. Rwood128 ( talk) 10:38, 21 September 2020 (UTC) reply

Thanks for being understanding. BTW the best resource I know for sorting out Arctic terms in Alaska and Siberia, where things get *really* confusing is the University of Alaska—Fairbank's Alaska Native Language Center. Dene, Sugpiaq, and Unangax friends have all said the information there is trustworthy. Ahalenia ( talk) 17:14, 21 September 2020 (UTC)Ahalenia reply

US postal addresses

Hi! I saw this edit at Sequoyah High School (Cherokee County, Oklahoma).

The fact is that US postal address city names do not match municipal boundaries. The City of Houston stated so in this FAQ page.

At Talk:Sequoyah_High_School_(Cherokee_County,_Oklahoma)#It_is_in_Park_Hill,_Oklahoma,_not_Tahlequa I explained how and why the school is not in Tahlequah despite the postal address saying so. I know it gets confusing since it would seem from the postal address that it's in one place. WhisperToMe ( talk) 19:34, 20 July 2022 (UTC) reply
