Hi, 7&6=thirteen! I have just made an edit on an article named Liberty Towers (Jersey City) to fix some issues and improve its quality. There, I found that one of the references that you made in this was not linked to any source. I just wonder if that was accidental or true, but somewhat gone. So, I come here to ask you regarding this problem. Thank you. Best regards, Samuelsp15 ( talk) 16:13, 11 September 2020 (UTC).

I tried a dozen times to use
Template:U to ping you in my response on
Talk:List of fatal dog attacks in the United States but no matter how I cut and pasted your username, or handtyped it, I could not come up with a valid preview that looked right. I settled for a cut and paste of the simple text "7&6=thirteen". But putting that into the pinging template like {{u|7&6=thirteen}}
in any form resulted in a mess at preview. So... what do I use in the future?

Thanks for your presence in the round of one dozen or so American Indian biographies in the AfD space. Reading your positive comment about the progress of one article is much appreciated (especially because this space is where work done is scrutinized by some to the point of excessive criticism). Keep it up! -- DiamondRemley39 ( talk) 15:08, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
Just my opinion... I think this round of AfDs is a result of the nominator's unconscious bias against older subjects just as much or more than it is against other cultures. They probably did see the then-weak articles as mere genealogy listings -- many articles about non-notability have gone to AfD in the past few months. And then didn't do the kind of thorough BEFOREs that are best to do before nominating. I think the user didn't factor in how hungry the public has been for writings about anyone related to Wounded Knee and Little Big Horn since those events happened. So many sources to be checked. I'm guessing they have little experience in the military space too. I see that the person commented on your talk page that they usually nominate rap musicians. The kind of coverage modern musicians get is very different from what 19th-century warriors get. But I don't think they mean ill. Just a case of limited context/research experience and underestimating the abilities of Wikipedians and they're getting defensive when their work is called out (as it has been by me). That happens all the time in AfDs. (I also see a lack of moderation--when nominating articles in a new area, why not just nominate 1-5 articles and see how it goes?) Just my two cents, not that you need it or anything. Glad to have you around and thanks again for the pastry. Cheers! -- DiamondRemley39 ( talk) 00:12, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
You've added "Part of attempted mass removal of articles about Native Americans without justification" to a number of AFDs. Please stop. Hello 7&6=thirteen,
It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.
Rank | Username | Num reviews | Log |
---|---|---|---|
1 | DannyS712 bot III ( talk) | 67,552 | Patrol Page Curation |
2 | Rosguill ( talk) | 63,821 | Patrol Page Curation |

9 | Hughesdarren ( talk) | 4,520 | Patrol Page Curation |
10 | Utopes ( talk) | 3,958 | Patrol Page Curation |
John B123 has been named reviewer of the year for 2020. John has held the permission for just over 6 months and in that time has helped cut into the queue by reviewing more than 18,000 articles. His talk page shows his efforts to communicate with users, upholding NPP's goal of nurturing new users and quality over quantity.
As a special recognition and thank you DannyS712 has been awarded the first NPP Technical Achievement Award. His work programming the bot has helped us patrol redirects tremendously - more than 60,000 redirects this past year. This has been a large contribution to New Page Patrol and definitely is worthy of recognition.

Actor/wrestler/track star. Over 200 acting credits as a character actor. Just died. Worked on WP:ITN. It got rejected in a perverse exercise of ITN. ITN nomination is dead. Perverse result due to sourcing issues. I had similar experiences with Dr. John and Neil Peart. Large articles and prolific important artists; who got willfully ignored at ITN because the vast list of their works did not have sourcing that satisfied the cabal. And both of them got a huge amount of views. But this article got 230,000 views in the last nine days here. Popular article. 7&6=thirteen ( ☎) 13:44, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

Schofield was a frequent houseguest at Redfield's farm, upstream from New Hope, Pennsylvania, and the two would go out painting together, competing to capture the better view. Redfield served on the jury for the 1904 Annual Exhibition of the Carnegie Institute; at which, despite Redfield's opposition, Across the River was awarded the Gold Medal and $1,500 prize. It was not until a 1963 interview that the 93-year-old Redfield revealed the painting as the cause of the 40-year feud between them. Your recent editing history at Bolt (fabric) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Like several other people, I received an email from 7&6=thirteen asking me to post the above appeal; apparently their talk page access was blocked as well as their editing ability.
This block needs to be undone; it is a good-faith but accidental miscarriage of justice; apparently they were caught up in a purge related to proxy accounts. Someone please explain to them what they have to do to get themselves out of this unwarranted block. Yamla advised "disable your proxy/vpn" and wait 24 hours; will that do it? Hello, 7&6=thirteen. I'm not exactly a new Wikipedia editor at this point, but I've only semi-recently started looking beyond just making articles, and into the more behind the scenes administration of Wikipedia, and I have some questions about the the 50,000 Challenge if you don't mind me asking. If there are better places I could be asking this, let me know.
So, the 50,000 Challenge is something I found out about fairly early on, but I think I've been contributing to it incorrectly so far. I did not realize that I was supposed to put my articles on a list on the WikiProject page. My main question is this: Should I go back and put the relevant, start and lengthy stub articles (like Lorenzo T. Durand, Vernon J. Brown, and Eugene R. Cater) on this list now, even if some of the articles are more than a year old? Or should I start to just make a habit of putting new articles I make on the lists on the Wikiproject page.
Also, I wanted to ask if my state legislature district pages would be a good fit for the 50,000 Challenge or not. Should I add a page like Michigan's 87th House of Representatives district to the list or not?
Thank you, and sorry if this isn't the appropriate place to ask these questions.

This new article was just on the main page as a DYK. Not my DYK. I tweaked it and linked it (in and out). Didn't know about these dogs. 150,000 page views. I would bet that the eye candy of this painting helped a lot. 7&6=thirteen ( ☎) 15:26, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
The addition of categories that are supported by the article's content isn't vandalism, as far as I'm concerned. My intentions were good, maybe the vandalism was another IP address in the same geographic location as me, which can make it hard to tell the difference between WP:Vandalism and WP:NOTVANDALISM I guess, so don't be so quick to assume that I vandalized the article and that it was a WP:BADFAITH edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:153:881:3D60:68BA:6A06:E59A:D7 ( talk) 05:38, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi 7&6: Have you read the personal grooming article? (I'm guessing that's a no.) If so, can you please explain how washing yourself has anything to do with swaggering? I'm guessing that the person who linked it was thinking of "preening" in the Shakespearean sense—but "preening" on Wikipedia redirects to "personal grooming". User:7&6=thirteen, yesterday I posted a query on your talk page or may be I have made wrong in submitting. It was regarding Cheman Shaik an article that got deleted through Afd discussion. I have been improving the article and did so until March 5 before the deletion took place. So, wanted to know whether the latest version of the article was taken into consideration or was done on the basis of previous discussion that went till March 2, 2021, where it had 6 Delete votes. thank you Wisdomwiki 40 ( talk) 14:56, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
7&6=thirteen, I've asked the closer, but s/he says that it was primarily done on the consensus basis without responding to my query. thank you. Sometimes silence has the answer to the unanswered. Wisdomwiki 40 ( talk) 15:10, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
Butting in here as a talk page watcher and waving at 7&6: Hi, Wisdomwiki 40. I was curious about your comments here so I looked at the AfD in question (the consensus to delete was clear, and the closer is not expected to respond to comments in the discussion) and the deleted article (using my magic spectacles). You worked hard to argue that he was notable because of his inventions, but the biography does not and probably cannot demonstrate notability for him personally. He himself just hasn't gotten much coverage. But here's a thought: if you think one of his inventions is particularly notable - you mentioned Absolute Public Key Cryptography at the AfD - you might try creating a draft about that invention, at which you would of course mention the inventor. Just a thought. If you decide to try this I do suggest making it a draft first, to see if you can really can demonstrate sufficient notability for that particular invention. -- MelanieN ( talk) 17:31, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

[4] Your conduct in revert warring is frankly outrageous and edit warring to insist on a non-neutral edit is foolish. Your conduct is likely to guarantee that article is deleted. Your obligatory edit warring warning.
Your recent editing history at Attack on HMS Invincible shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree.
