As part of
the project's New Year's Reolutions, there is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of stubs to 10%. As of May 10, we are at 11.64%, with 483 articles currently in
Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source an improve stub articles, and a list has been placed on the
stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.
This section is intended to warn users about potential targets of
vandalism and
speculation: professional wrestling events from major
promotions for the months of May and June.
The
lead section of an article should introduce the subject and summarize the entire article's contents. The size of the lead will depend on the size of the article.

From the editors…
The
last newsletter was written a year ago. In June 2008,
Indian Premier League was "hot" on Wikipedia, but the article about this year's
IPL has attracted 477 editors, or 53% more than the previous year! Even the number of articles
in the scope of our project jumped by a whopping 18,500+ articles in an year. The 3.2-year-old
India quiz continues to attract old and new Wikipedians, so join in the fun!
Wikipedians are organizing a
meetup in Bangalore on July 4 or 5. If you are interested, head over to the page and add your name! Topics of discussion include Indian language editions of Wikipedia and
Wikimedia India.

WP:PW cleanup listing was updated for the first time in three months. Please help out with fixing any of the problems listed, and removing them from the list.
There is an on-going discussion
here regarding the "In wrestling" section of biographies, and what should and should not be included. All opinions are welcome.

Triple H returned to WWE television after a two-month hiatus.
On June 9, WWE reported that Batista had suffered a complete torn left
bicep. He underwent surgery to repair it the followingday, and is expected to have at least four months of rehabilitation.
Referee Ted Tanabe died at the age of 46, after suffering a
heart attack in the ring the previous night while officiating a match at a live event for
Osaka Pro Wrestling.

notability requirements, tou can tag it for
speedy deletion if the criteria apply,
propose it for deletion, or nominate it at
WP:AFD.
Do not give undue weight to
recent events in articles.
If making a controversial change, or one that will affect a wide range of article, please gain
consensus from the project first.
Avoid adding statements that will
date quickly, for example "soon" and "now".

Please familiarize yourself with the general
notability policy of Wikipedia. Avoid creating new articles that do not satisfy the requirements.
Refer to
WP:NC during the process of renaming an article, if a name does not adhere to these guidelines,
be bold and move the article to the correct target name. If there is a
naming conflict, follow the steps to a resolution or discuss the move on the project's talk page.
Avoid
overlinking in an article. If a subject has been linked once already in the body paragraphs, there is no need to link it again.
Lists are the only exceptions to this policy.
A prolific editor and
administrator, Bhadani is among the top ten Wikipedians by
number of edits across the English Wikipedia. Congratulations to Bhadani for also making the most number of edits among
Indian Wikipedians!
