Good job at being bold!!!!! We always need people to step up and edit pages that they know intimately, your graduate experience will be invaluable to the project. If you need any help feel free to contact me on my talk page! Sadads ( talk) 11:35, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
I noticed on a lot of you web references, you aren't keeping all of the information necessary in case someone wants to retrieve the page in the future and the URL is down. Try using Template:Cite web and try to fill in as many variables as possible, that way future editors won't have to go searching. Sadads ( talk) 19:38, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

The principal concerns here are: (i) broadly that it does not presently meet the requirements of WP:LEAD in providing enough context for a general reader (not familiar with any of the broad context of the topic) to understand what the topic of the article is about ... you should try to say something about what it is used for and in what specific fields, and why it is important (there should be something about these things in the lead section, expanding in later sections if necessary); (ii) that it lacked references related to actually using this theory, or even to anyone else than the original authors working with the theory ...the reference recently added seems unpublished and it would be good to be able to improve on this. In general you should follow-up and read the links presented in the notability template box to give an idea of things to be thought about. Basically, remember that Wikipedia is for a general readership and should not be treatesd in exactly the same way as a journal article (where it is nowadays common to assume a pre-existing close understanding of the topic of an article). You might like to see WP:MSM for guidance on mathematics-type articles on Wikipedia (particularly the stuff about structuring an article, near the start). Lots of existing articles don't come particularly close to fulfilling all the stated requirements, so don't worry too much about them in detail .... just make a few improvements for the points raised above and you can remove the template, then improve the article further or leave it for others to make additions. I'm assuming from what you posted that the article was deleted for being a mere dictionary definition. No problem with recreating it as a real article. Rebecca ( talk) 01:37, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
Dear Zfeinst, I have reverted your reversion of my edit. I have started a thread on the talk page so we can discuss the matter. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is only a summary of reliable sources. Unfortunately our own personal knowledge does not count on Wikipedia. Welcome to Wikipedia! I look forward to working together to improve the article. Cheers! -- — Keithbob • Talk • 18:57, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
DOI values that look like 10.1.1.139.2327, are not actually DOI's. Use |id={{citeseerx|10.1.1.139.2327 }} in the cite journal tempates instead of doi=10.1.1.139.2327 . AManWithNoPlan ( talk) 02:35, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

There is a discussion about the scope of convex optimization on Talk:Convex optimization. Perhaps you would like to weigh in? Isheden ( talk) 22:58, 10 February 2012 (UTC) please leave Sortino Ratio alone! The risk- free rate is about the worst example of a target return you could have come up with! Think about it: why would a rational investor choose a target equal or less than the return he could get with zero risk?! When you have the time, please review Financial economics: I "completed" a major re-write c. March 2014. Thanks. Fintor ( talk) 08:52, 14 November 2014 (UTC) I am glad to see there is discussion going on regarding the work my colleague Hal Forsey and I worked on for the past 34years. I do not understand why the 1981 contract between Rom and The Pension Research Institute that specifically prevents Rom from making any quantitative changes in the software is of no interest. I would happily send the documents in a pdf file to prove Rom's claims are unjustified. Dr. Frank A. I've written a new article and I wonder if you'd be willing to help out by reviewing it - Draft: Fifth Wall Ventures and making it live if you think it's ready? It's about a VC-firm focused on real estate. Although I am an experienced Wikipedia editor and always try my best to abide by the five pillars, in this case I have a conflict of interest, so Wikipedia policy requires that all my work be reviewed by an independent editor before it's published. (Moved from "Draft" to "Wikipedia" under the "More" tab in the nav.) I'd be glad to do any additional work you think the article requires. Thanks for considering this!
