Zalunardo8,
Re: Television. Taxation or license Thank you for your interest. I have not found how to add to the thread and as I believe my suggestion below should be read before any editing takes place, I will include it with this gesture of gratitude. I agree with “…approximately 25 million”. With the figures changing so much and often a couple of years out of date, a reasonable estimate is the only way to go. Whilst considering those figures, it is also worth remembering which organisation supplies them and their motive.... As far as “….households receiving TV broadcasts”, may I suggest the addition of a most important key word for emphasis in this way: “households receiving live TV broadcasts” ? My reasons are: With so much use being made of the online (catch-up) services, for which no licence is needed, an (unlicensed) householder may legally use their TV as a monitor to watch that streaming. Having to purchase a licence simply for having a TV or computer, has been a myth which has proven difficult to correct. There is an element who benefit from that misconception. There has been much mischief-making with replies to those asking whether they must buy the license when they do not watch live-broadcast, but wish to retain a TV set. Adding the word ‘live’ makes the description so much clearer and certainly reflecting the law. Many thanks for giving this your attention. I understand one broadcasting company is very protective of the myth I have referred to, so It will be interesting to see how long any corrections survive! Obrigado. Hi! Wikipedia is a truly global project and your interest in translating articles is so important for making information available in other languages. I'm really glad that you asked for some advice at the Teahouse about what the best way to pursue translation is. One tip, whenever you translate an article, or copy parts of it from one page to another, you should also leave a link in your Edit Summary saying where you got the information from. That's because our copyright license requires Attribution. Keep asking great questions and doing great work!
