Hi,
As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.
We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.
You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

sorry you feel that information about the national ice carving association doesn't belong in the page about ice carving. A tag has been placed on Image:BronzeOxKassam.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is a redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{
hangon}}
to the top of
the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:BronzeOxKassam.JPG|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Hi, I've had a look at the discography and can confirm that all the British chart positions you have up to and including "Low C" for singles and up to and including Road to Rouen are correct. I can't confirm the releases after those because that's when the book was published.
The source is: Roberts, David, ed. (2006), British Hit Singles & Albums (19th ed.), HIT Entertainment, p. 541, ISBN 1-90499-410-5
I hope that helps, -- JD554 ( talk) 07:15, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes it does. User:Bleddynefans might be able to help with the others. I've noticed from some of his past edits to Glasvegas that he might subscribe to ChartsPlus. I don't know if he's amenable as I've never asked before, but it might be worth a shot. -- JD554 ( talk) 08:25, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
I've got some more sources for the missing chart positions for you: Diamond Hoo Ha #19 is on The Official UK Charts Company here, "Fin" #111 is on Zobbel here, and "Bad Blood" #73 is on ChartStats here. I still can't find a reliable source for "Rebel in You". Zobbel and ChartStats should both be considered reliable as they state their sources here and here respectively. -- JD554 ( talk) 10:48, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

To TwentiethApril1986: If you read the Wikipedia criteria for a entertainer having a bio page it states thus:
Actors, comedians, opinion makers, models, and television personalities: * Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following.
This is clearly applicable to Philip DeFranco (aka sxephil) as he has about 300,000 subscribers on youtube, so I don't think this needs to be discussed further.Ezzi386 (talk) 05:44, 21 December 2008 (UTC) Ezzi386 ( talk) 03:49, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

Thank you for uploading File:Tenth Doctor Brown Suit.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. A tag has been placed on File:Io9 Logo.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}

the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on

Can I bring your attention back to the Radio 2 article. There's currently an edit war on whether or not Andrew Peach should be classed as a daytime newsreader. This has been going on for quite sometime, and I notice that you have already raised the question in the past of whether the Radio 2 newsreaders and stand-in presenters should be included. The page has a protection so nobody can edit it at all. Can I ask your opinion? It has been suggested the newsreaders (and travel etc.) should all be in one category, and not specify daytime or evenings. If not, perhaps we should go back to your point and have them all removed?
