Disambiguation link notification for September 24

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited House of Keys, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tim Johnston. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Sources

Even in the excitement of election night editing, please remember to add sources for all content and to check that what you type makes sense. Kate Lord-Brennan is on my watchlist and is a bit of a mess. Will edit it later when on laptop not phone, but please take more care. Thanks. Pam D 06:21, 24 September 2021 (UTC) reply

Adding images

I have nominated an image you uploaded 29 September 2021 as a copyright violation ( File:WattersonJP.jpg). This is stated on the source target page as copyrighted (in the footer, "Copyright © 2021 Tynwald.org.im"). You have also added the author as "Clerk of Tynwald Office" - can you please confirm how you know this detail?

I see you've uploaded other images - I will hold off nominating these until you respond and the image is deleted by an admin at Wikimedia Commons, in case I'm missing something. Images are considered as copyrighted unless there is an obvious release, normally in the form of a recognised licence. You can reply here and I will see it. Please do not upload any more similar images. Thank you.-- Rocknrollmancer ( talk) 22:53, 29 September 2021 (UTC) reply

  • Following deletion of the Watterson image, File:SkellyLD.jpg has been nominated for deletion; this also states "author=Office of the Clerk of Tynwald". Please confirm how you know this detail. The fact that both of these images have Exif information going back to 2016 indicates to me that you may have access to non-public sources.

I see you have made recent edits after the message above with no response to the similar query there. Please confirm if you are connected to the Isle of Man government. Thank you.-- Rocknrollmancer ( talk) 12:02, 30 September 2021 (UTC) reply

Apologies, I have attempted to remove the images - but I can't seem to amend them, totally happy for them to be deleted if inappropriate. The supplied photos were sourced from the Tynwald website - which includes reference to their author being the 'Office of the Clerk of Tynwald'. Just to confirm I am not connected to the Isle of Man Government.

ThanQ; the images were deleted by an administrator, but I did find a way to save them which transposed the Exif information.
On the website entry for Skelly, I cannot find the words you used ("Office of the Clerk of Tynwald") - using a Ctrl + F keyword search for Office, Clerk, Tynwald; I did the same search previously. Ditto for Watterson.
What aspect of the website did you abstract the info from? Can you show a link here?-- Rocknrollmancer ( talk) 17:22, 12 October 2021 (UTC) reply
I see you have edited since the message I left above, and that you are only involved in promoting Manx politicians and organisation; please confirm how you arrived at the image detail concerning "Office of the Clerk of Tynwald". Thank you.-- Rocknrollmancer ( talk) 01:41, 30 October 2021 (UTC) reply

Hi, I have edited again because the information was out of date on the Isle of Man page. I cited sources for the amends. I am not connected to the Isle of Man Government and am not interested in 'promoting' Manx politicians, it's simply an area of interest and study of mine and compared to other CDs and small jurisdictions has relatively little information available on Wikipedia. This link details the organisation of the Clerk of Tynwald's Office who, through the Chamber Information Serivce, is responsible for web administration and uploads: https://www.tynwald.org.im/links/tls/TC/Pages/C13.aspx . If I have made a mistake with this I apologise. Kind regards, TMB
