Can an admin close Talk:Bowsprit_tortoise#Requested_move_15_March_2014 and make the appropriate move if appropriate. An admin is required as the destination articles page exists as a redirect and prevents the move. Regards, Sun Creator( talk) 19:51, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi SunCreator, We have recently introduced a new beta feature. It would be great if you could try it out and tell us what you think. https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Beta_Features/Hovercards. Beta Features can be turned on using the 'beta' tab in the top right Thanks Vibhabamba ( talk) 10:01, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
Heya Sun,
on some pages the autotaxoboxes have been put in eg Chelydridae that taxonomy is honestly wrong and uninformative. I am thinking the standard taxobox is better at this stage, since the auto one is not preferred for turtles anyway. What you think? Cheers Faendalimas talk 04:42, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi, Sun Creator. I just made this change. I believe that, even for articles and titles that use sentence case, the DEFAULT sort key uses Initial Caps. This allows them to be sorted properly. See Template talk:DEFAULTSORT#Capitalization in the sort key. Cheers! -- JHunterJ ( talk) 11:08, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

Heya Sun, made a comment here - Talk:Karoo_Cape_tortoise#Requested_move thought you might want to input. Also been doing significant modifications to the Testudinidae, the latest checklist will be out this weekend also. Cheers, Faendalimas talk 16:40, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
Hi Books & Bytes recipients: The Wikipedia Library has been expanding rapidly and we need some help! We currently have 10 signups for free account access open and several more in the works... In order to help with those signups, distribute access codes, and manage accounts we'll need 2-3 more Account Coordinators.
It takes about an hour to get up and running and then only takes a couple hours per week, flexible depending upon your schedule and routine. If you're interested in helping out, please drop a note in the next week at
my talk page or shoot me an email at: jorlowitzgmail.com. Thanks and cheers, Jake

Dear SunCreator, just a question as to why Homopus signatus is the only one of the Homopus species to have been kept under its common name? As I understood from the discussions over the last few months, the Homopus species were all to be moved to their (less contentious) scientific names? Thanks. Happy New Year, and welcome to a special double issue of Books & Bytes. We've included a retrospective on the changes and progress TWL has seen over the last year, the results of the survey TWL participants completed in December, some of our plans for the future, a second interview with a Wiki Love Libraries coordinator, and more. Here's to 2014 being a year of expansion and innovation for TWL!
The Wikipedia Library completed the first 6 months of its Individual Engagement grant last week. Here's where we are and what we've done:

Hello. It may interest you that someone called tenofalltrades seems determined to completely delete the "cell disruption" page, to which you previously contributed. Over a 11 minute period in March they deleted ~22,500 words (virtually the entire page), and made no attempt to rebuild the page. Of course, the page was imperfect but I think it was still a useful compendium of information. Now it's pretty much gone.
I've tried to communicate with this person, and then reversed their changes, an effort that has now itself been reversed. I don't have the wiki experience (or the time) to deal with this anymore. So I'm writing to you and several other contributors in case others feel like preserving the page. Thanks a lot Liamloftus ( talk) 14:59, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
Hello,
I think that your article should include something about how the scapular rami, pectoral girdle made the shell not just the rib and dermal bones. Being a specific does not hurt. Also the article should include where the carapace came from. This will allow the readers to also understand some of the evolution of the turtle shell. The final thing I think your article could possible add to make it better could include a picture of the break down of the shell components. The article ""Homology Of The Enigmatic Nuchal Bone Reveals Novel Reorganization Of The Shoulder Girdle In The Evolution Of The Turtle Shell" written by Lyson, Tyler R., et al. on page 318 includes a great picture.
