Hi, just wibdrring if you were plannibg on creating a full diagrammatic map if the Hong Kong MRT based on your inset map if the Shan Tin to Central Link? Also, you may want to update your Moscow Metro map, as the Moscow Monorail and Little Belt Railway have been assigned route numbers, 13 and 14, respectively. I noticed your post at WP:WikiProject Trains#Lua-based route diagram template. Looks good! I had a very quick look at some of the code.
Typo: rigth
This does not do what is hoped:
local i, j = next(rows), next(rows, i)--removing empty lines
The right-hand side is evaluated before the assignment. The last i in that line is an undefined global variable and so is nil. The result is that i and j are identical.
Rather than doing the split then removing blank lines, you might consider something like the following:
-- rows is the string argument (don't split it) local index = 0 for row in rows:gmatch('([^\n]*)\n?') do row = mw.text.trim(row) if row ~= '' then index = index + 1 local keyword = q.isKeyword(row, index, rows) if type(keyword) ~= "string" then table.insert(tmp, row(row, nil, nil)) else table.insert(tmp, keyword) end end -- Perhaps omit the earlier "if rows == '' then..." test and use the following. -- The following checks that at least one row was non-blank. if index == 0 then return formaterror('parameter-missing') end end
The gmatch works perfectly well with any UTF-8 text. Johnuniq ( talk) 08:02, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
@ Johnuniq: I applied your last change to zh.wp and also modified the p.route function to a local function (localroute) so it can be used by other functions as well. Apparently it works and I can start implementing the infobox template into the module in zh.wp by myself. I will go with the method of stacking "result" variable again if its code isn't too horrible to look at. -- Sameboat - 同舟 ( talk · contri.) 05:00, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
Further to the above discussion, I have opened a RFC at Wikipedia talk:Route diagram template#RFC. As the use of the new system has been challenged and does not have consensus, no further RDTs should be changed to the new system until there is consensus for their use. IMO, Template:BSto doesn't look like a good candidate to convert to a module. It's pretty simple as templates go, and the module is anything but. The one use I do see would be if you planned to call this from another module. Is this the case? Jackmcbarn ( talk) 15:07, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi Sameboat,
I found your contributions through File:London_Overground_map_sb.svg and am amazed with your excellent underground maps. I'm also touched by your willingness to teach your techniques on producing railway maps on your Commons user page — thank you!
I'm also passionate about SVGs, especially interactive and animated ones. I hope you wouldn't mind my pointing out that the click or hover effect on File:London_Overground_map_sb.svg didn't work for me on Firefox 38 or IE 11 on Windows 7: the cursor changed to a help cursor but hovering or clicking a line had no effect.
In case you might be interested, I discovered a reasonably cross-platform method which I've described on user:cmglee/Dynamic_SVG_for_Wikimedia_projects#Progressive_disclosure for which hover works in Chrome, Firefox and IE and clicking to select/deselect works in Chrome and Firefox. An SVG demonstrating this technique is File:Comparison_of_notable_bridges_SMIL.svg. I can help you to change File:London_Overground_map_sb.svg as you see fit.
Please let me know if you'd like to collaborate on developing dynamic SVGs in the future!
Cheers,

I made a list of articles which exceed the template include size, see here. It appears that several of them are due to complex railroad diagrams. For example, Alexandrovskaya railway station is in the hidden Category:Pages where template include size is exceeded, presumably because it uses {{ Local train routes of Finlyandsky Rail Terminal}}. Is that something your routemap module would fix? If you feel like fixing them, please do so. Johnuniq ( talk) 22:23, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

You seem to be good at cleaning up SVG, Would you mind taking a look at these? c:Category:Traffic Signs Manual (UK) (Chapter 5) which are a set of diagrams for UK road markings..
The previous workflow on these seems to be a bit convoluted but seems to be as follows...
The original drawing looks to be Micrografix... -> Converted to EPS (possibly in Adobe Illustrator).
When I started on the EPS, I was using Inkscape.. Inkscape can't import EPS directly so it gets Ghostscript to make a PDF and it then imports the PDF. This imported PDF was then saved as SVG and in many cases cleaned up manually by making a font susbtitution and cleaning up some nodes.
However, it would be appreciated if someone with experience in recovering 'noisy' SVG files took a look at the digarams as well. ShakespeareFan00 ( talk) 14:18, 13 May 2016 (UTC)

I was looking at articles exceeding template include size and saw these:
It appears stuff like {{ Gloucester to Newport Line}} is way too big. That's unbelievably complex! Does your module fix that? Don't worry about it if it's too much hassle, but I thought I'd mention it. Those articles were not in the size-exceeded category a couple of weeks ago, so something has been added which took them past the limit. Johnuniq ( talk) 11:34, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
