I read your message and I understand, the discussions are polarised. You mentioned Haiti, there seems to have been a de facto American coup there recently. Kingal86 15:47, 24 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
OR
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" with "{{MultiLicensePD}}". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man ( comment| talk)

Hi!
You asked for the Kurdistan map. I (probably) took it from here, but I do not know who made it. It obviously contains of several, at least two layers. The words "Mediterranean sea" and the word "Turkey" for instance are very different. It might have been published by one of the Kurdish Institutes, maybe Paris. I have no idea. It shows the mainly Kurdish inhabited areas and is smaller than what some nationalist see as "Kurdistan".
Please contact me here or by mail.
Good luck for the Cornish Wikipedia, you seem to be a little supported fighter for your cause. -- Erdal Ronahi 23:00, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I have also asked on a Cornish news website, Cornwall 24, if anybody can help you edit the Cornish language site.
In a recent edit on the Bahujan Samaj Party article you claim that Samajwadi Party's caste base is Kshatriyas. I would like to know from were that assumption is taken? In my understanding the SP base is mainly Yadavs (OBCs) and Muslims. -- Soman 09:36, 19 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Cardinal is included in the titles of cardinals for two practical reasons.
The inclusion of cardinal is not meant to give cardinals any particular special treatment. It is simply the only way many historic cardinals can be entered on wikipedia. It was discussed and agreed that in the case of cardinals, the word's inclusion was a practical necessity. Ancient office-holders, where their personal name may not be as widely known and they are only known by title and surname, cause particular problems that don't arise with holders of more modern offices. Mediaeval cardinals will invariably be searched through google through 'cardinal x', just as popes will be searched for using 'pope x'. Other clergymen in other lower offices are either not remembered in history or are usually known by full name. But the higher one got in the Roman Catholic Church, the greater the likelihood that one's personal names were replaced by a clerical name, and it is just the latter that people remember.
The page on the Cardinal Archbishop of Paris belongs with all the other hundreds of cardinal articles under the format agreed and used all over wikipedia. Either the naming conventions are changed (which will mean we cannot put on some mediaval cardinals and will have inaccurate names for others) or this article needs to be moved to follow the agreed format. Abandoning that format would necessitate the renaming of hundreds of pages of articles and at this stage tens of thousands of links in articles. FearÉIREANN 23:45, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)
You named him "Geraint rac Deheu", but I'm a little puzzled about the "rac" part: is that Cornish or Breton for "son of"? If it's a typo for "mac", may I suggest you use "ap" instead, since the latter is Welsh & the former Irish? (Geraint's native tongue is more likely to have been closer to Welsh than Irish.) -- llywrch 18:16, 19 May 2005 (UTC)

As near as I can tell, his pseudonym appears completely out of context from his real name which is as opposed to, say, Lenin and Stalin where there have been many variations from the point of them being "revolutionaries" throughout their ascension to power and thereafter. Thus those articles utilize the real names in conjunction solely with the false surname. "Prachanda" doesn't even have the benefit of a term being so recognized that it replaces all other references, as opposed to Pol Pot and Ho Chi Minh, so there is no real need. "Prachanda" should stay as a redirect to the real name as of now. -- TJive 19:55, July 20, 2005 (UTC)

I am very concerned about the artical on Rajputs since I was recently debating with an individual named wisesabre. Now, this article hits me personally since it is my identity and I feel that because I cannot take part in this debate any longer, as well I find his arguements and the arguements of the other chap completely ridiculous, since I am preparing to write my licensing exams soon, I feel really frustrated.
Does Wikipedia simply allow anyone to put stuff up even if its not backed by authentic academic knowledge or research? Is this something I should just forget about since it seems that the article is going to be hijacked and the entire concept of the Rajputs will be distorted.
It seems that anything held sacred can simply be distorted in this encyclopedia. If anyone wanted to know how legitimate my sources or claims are, at least I can say "Just show this to Dr. Joseph T. O'Connell, Professor Emeritus, South Asian Studies Department, University of Toronto" and he'll easily recognise my writings and even tell you my name and lineage on the spot.
I am really not sure what to do, but I would hate that my history become distorted, especially by a couple of guys making all sorts of erroneous claims.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I guess that is one of the dangers of Wikipedia, and also one of its strengths. Thanks again for the qucik reply.

I took a look at this article, & it reads like a good, solid article. Hope you don't mind that made a copy edit or two (mostly because as someone on the other side of the world, I can't picture where Langport is off the top of my head).
I also noticed that there is no article for Llywarch Hen; I guess I should be the one to fix that because I took my user name from this ancient Celt. -- llywrch 22:36, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
The article looks good. I made a few very minor edits, and I added some of your information to the Geraint of Dumnonia article.-- Cuchullain 00:53, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
Durdatha whye QL, could i interest you in a debate on the discussion page of the Cornish people page, i am currently trying to debate with a group of what appear to be English nationalists who insist on making modifications when they reach agreement among themselves which as you can imagin tends to take an anti Cornish direction. The new Cornish people page is a great development for wikipedia and it would be a shame if it became run by people unfriendly to the Cornish movement. Hi saw the map you added to the page, nice job. One small comment, the area of the Irish shore is larger than you have marked. See http://www.irishloop.nf.ca/about_zone_location.asp for the additional area. The Irish shore extends from Carbonear south to Renews and to both sides of St. Mary's Bay. The Irish shore is larger than the Irish Loop. Jcmurphy 01:22, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
Thats excellent, but the Irish Shore also extends around to the west side of St. Mary's Bay to the communities of Branch and St. Bride's. See http://www.naturetreks.ca/MapAV.htm St. Bride's is commonly accepted as the last community on the Irish Shore. I mentioned Renews, because along with Ferryland it is one of the main Irish communites on the coast. Jcmurphy 02:16, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for making this neat table, on the figures I had given. It's a great job! -- Astavrou 23:11, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
If you have a moment, could you do one with the provinces numbered as on IraqNumbered.png? They correspond to the numbers on the results table. I'd have a go myself, but I'm far from an expert with graphics. –Hajor 19:08, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

You asked a question at South African Communist Party about SACP members of parliament. As far as I know, all members come from the ANC list, which is decided on by vote at the ANC National Conference preceding the election. Thus, for any SACP member to become an MP, they must also be an ANC member and be elected by the ANC. This isn't a problem, however, since most prominent SACP members are also (prominent) ANC members. -- Taejo | Talk 14:54, 8 November 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed the message saying you're a World Citizen, I would like to invite you to add {{ User:1ne/Userboxes/User world}} to your user page if you wish to proclaim it in a more effective way, and this template will also add you automatically to the Wikipedians with World Citizenship category. :) -- Mistress Selina Kyle 23:54, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

Hey- your signature is using Image:Blkred flag.png. I don't have anything against it or your signture, but it has been replaced in all the articles by Image:Flag of Anarcho syndicalism.svg since that's a better format and is also in the public domain, which is a lot better. Long story short, blkred is going to be deleted very soon, and it'll break your sigs. -- maru (talk) Contribs 22:48, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
