For saving the Sardarpara, atwari, bangladesh from being deleted with excellent searching skills! I, Jethrobot drop me a line 17:13, 2 July 2011 (UTC) |
This is unrelated to the Provanhall issue but related to the Phil Bridger issue - Phil Bridger repeately edited the entry on gang stalking claiming that properly cited entries were "delusional conspiracy theories" (there is significant evidence to the contrary, eg. james walbert's court case, bioethics testimony, MKULTRA trial as cited at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_experimentation_in_the_United_States). Now there is _no_ entry on gang stalking meaning that the suffering of thousands of people goes without accreditation thanks to zealots such as Phil.
Phil Bridger is either a shill or a pawn and has no place in the propagation of information resources amongst conscionable members of society. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.164.82.152 ( talk) 16:31, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for supporting my Proposed deletion of Di Scadre (Monseigneur). I'm just wondering, is this truly a very elaborate hoax, or just an undiscovered composer/author? Even in the second case, the article shouldn't be on Wikipedia, so that's no problem, but I was left wondering. The sources obviously are incorrect, and the images are very, very, very dubious, but the book and the text is done very nicely (in my laymans view). Do you think someone has taken a real book, and woven a large fabrication around it, or is even the book a photoshopped version of something else? Fram ( talk) 07:27, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
So by when will you be adding some sources to the article? ╟─ Treasury Tag► stannator─╢ 22:35, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi There.
I noticed a clean - up tag on the article; Luigi Arbib Pascucci. The specific problem was 'too much POV.' I beleive I have fixed the problem by re - writing the article into a more neutral stance. It would be good if you could reveiw the changes to remove the POV tag if they are feasible. Vought109 ( talk) 02:19, 9 July 2011 (UTC)--Vought109

HI Phil. You are quite right. However, it was my view that the article was suitable for a speedy deletion. It had already been tagged as Fails WP:Notability (people) Non notable poet. Search does not bring up reliable sources. Article is unsourced.. It was unwikified, written in an inappropriate pov tone A great poet of Naat and a well known Naat Khawan... really a pride of our country. It was my view that the article was irretrievable in its existing form without a complete rewrite and therefore justified a speedy.
I often delete prodded articles. For example, pages tagged as "unsourced BLP" frequently turn out to be promotional or copyright violations too. If you feel strongly that the prod should be restored, let me know, it's not a big deal.

Hi Phil - I was just looking at the entry for Wintergirls, and thought "this article's got issues; I should flag it, but I'm not sure how". When I looked at the history, I noted that you had just a few days ago removed a bunch of tags. While it's true that there were a whole lot of tags that were mostly variations of "this article needs help", it seems like *some* kind of tag is in order. It really should be flagged for cleanup one way or another. Would you be willing to re-tag it in a way you would find more helpful? I'm hoping to take on a bit of the revision myself, but I'm going to finish reading the book first, since the exiting entry looks like a heavily spoiler-laden plot-summary. Thanks! Thanks for removing the speedy deletion tag from the Illit article with your correct assessment: (contest speedy deletion - operating scheduled bus services is an indication of importance/significance) -- @Efrat ( talk) 05:56, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
I PRODed it because the only claim to notability is that it is the first novel in the language - and I could find no evidence at independent sources to confirm that. There were no other claims of significance/notability otherwise I might not have PRODed it. Obviously we don't only cover the first novel in a language but as this one would only be notable for that fact if it was true then that fact needs to be verifiable. I might take the article to AfD, but I'll decide that later. -- PhantomSteve.alt/ talk\ alternative account of Phantomsteve 21:05, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

I've nominated the article for deletion here.
My reason for ProDing was not based on the "all or nothing" argument, it was that nothing in the article demonstrated any notability beyond a small academic circle. I only mentioned the "every single head" line to counteract the claim that being a headmaster is notability in itself.

From your edit at Abdul Latif Khalid Cheema it seems you have some knowledge of this, so you may be able to solve a problem I am facing. Although I asked for help at WT:INDIA, no one seems to care. Majlis-e-Ahrar-ul-Islam deals with a defunct pre-partition party. Majlis-e-Ahrar-e-Islam redirects there. How can Abdul Latif Khalid Cheema, born 1956, be the secretary general of a pre-partition party? Is Majlis-e-Ahrar-e-Islam actually an existing party with roots in Majlis-e-Ahrar-ul-Islam? Also, Ahrar Party (India) shares, according to the infobox, the same details. The article seems to speak of something else. Is it the same party? Is the infobox incorrect? I tried to discuss all of this with the editor who introduced all these, but he ignores me. -- Muhandes ( talk) 05:34, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Phil Bridger, in response to your message to me, I did not use Wikipedia to promote my company. Somebody posted a profile of my company on Wikipedia and the information on it was incorrect. It was flagged to me and I was asked to change the information on it. I was merely changing incorrect information and not using it as a marketing tool. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SineadDubarry ( talk • contribs) 15:34, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
