Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Napier Technical College (New Zealand) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Hi @ Panamitsu, I've posted up my review comments. The article is very close to making it, but there are just a few changes I have suggested to the prose. You can see my comments at Talk:Napier Technical College (New Zealand).
By the way, this is my first ever GA review. If I have made any mistakes with the process, please feel free to request a review of my review, or request a different reviewer.
Thank you for contributing so positively to Wikipedia. David Palmer aka cloventt ( talk) 09:23, 17 April 2024 (UTC) reply
Thanks for the review. I am also unfamiliar with GA reviews so I would be unable to spot a problem if there was one. — Panamitsu (talk) 09:28, 17 April 2024 (UTC) reply

The article Napier Technical College (New Zealand) you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Napier Technical College (New Zealand) for comments about the article, and Talk:Napier Technical College (New Zealand)/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article is eligible to appear in the "Did you know" section of the Main Page, you can nominate it within the next seven days. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Cloventt -- Cloventt ( talk) 22:23, 17 April 2024 (UTC) reply

@ Cloventt I don't think I've finished doing your recommendations but thanks haha. — Panamitsu (talk) 22:28, 17 April 2024 (UTC) reply
You've resolved the only things on my list of suggestions that counted as possible GAN fails (grammar and prose, tidying up the lead a bit). I had a peruse of the excellent Wikipedia:What the Good article criteria are not essay and a few of the things I had requested you change weren't really part of the GAN criteria. The article in its current form is perfectly acceptable by the criteria in my opinion.
Please by all means continue to improve it though! David Palmer aka cloventt ( talk) 22:42, 17 April 2024 (UTC) reply
@ Cloventt Oh I see. Thanks! — Panamitsu (talk) 22:48, 17 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Some suggestions

Can I please make some suggestions regarding river stubs?

If you've got any questions about the above suggestions, please ask. Here's good. Schwede 66 01:58, 3 May 2024 (UTC) reply

I will take note of all of these suggestions, thanks. I see that you've demonstrated these points on Awaroa River (Tasman). 📊Panamitsu (talk) 02:08, 3 May 2024 (UTC) reply
I might use AWB to convert all of these cite webs to the LINZ templates, as I'm sure several other people have done the same thing. 📊Panamitsu (talk) 02:15, 3 May 2024 (UTC) reply
Good idea; great if you could get that to work. I'll add something to Brown River now (the Tasman one, that it; that's where I live). Schwede 66 02:49, 3 May 2024 (UTC) reply
@ Schwede66: Nice work on the article.
I've had a play around and I've figured out how to convert cite web templates to the LINZ templates using AWB, however it is only the ones automatically generated by the visual editor that I can figure out. Replacing the different cite orders created by manually typing them out is currently above my scope of knowledge.
A problem is that the automatically generated cite webs do not have the name of the geographic place in them, but the LINZ template requires them, so I've just used the place id instead. After looking around at some examples, some of the citations do use the place name, so my AWB replacer uses them if they are given. An example of both situations is shown here. 📊Panamitsu (talk) 07:42, 3 May 2024 (UTC) reply
That’s looking good. You can download the LINZ database and it should then be possible to match the IDs with places names, facilitating a replacement. Schwede 66 10:07, 3 May 2024 (UTC) reply
I was thinking about that, but places often have several names, and sometimes all of them are listed as "unofficial", which can make choosing a name difficult. An example is Wairaki River. I encountered this same issue when generating island articles. 📊Panamitsu (talk) 10:22, 3 May 2024 (UTC) reply

Hello Panamitsu, I originally nominated List of manned missions to the Moon for speedy deletion under criteria A10, because it contained only a link and a transclusion from another article. I then realized that the title is a suitable redirect, so I cannot A10 it, and I have blanked and redirected instead. You may recreate the page at any time, but I suggest that you add enough content to demonstrate that this list should have its own page. Perhaps past proposed missions like Soviet crewed lunar programs would be suitable for inclusion, as well as more info on the Apollo missions than a link. Best, Toadspike ( talk) 11:10, 3 May 2024 (UTC) reply

Yeah I think that's the best option for now. 📊Panamitsu (talk) 11:20, 3 May 2024 (UTC) reply

Why manually archive?

Hi, in the edit immediately preceding the start of yours, I set up auto-archiving of the page. I'm curious why you went to the trouble of manually archiving material? It would have been automatically handled within the next 24 hours. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 00:52, 7 May 2024 (UTC) reply

There really was no reason. I was waiting for something in the "real world" and needed something to do. ― Panamitsu (talk) 00:54, 7 May 2024 (UTC) reply

Because notability in these alumni sections is determined by whether the person has an article or not. As this person's draft article has been declined for submission, it has been decided that it is not notable and should not be placed in the alumni section. ― Panamitsu (talk) 06:30, 15 May 2024 (UTC) reply

Observing

Hi, I know I said I will avoid contact but this is important. I appreciate fixing a spelling error but I do not appreciate continued monitoring of my contributions. (E.g. minor neighborhoods of chc)

This is "disenchanting". Alexeyevitch( talk) 09:05, 26 May 2024 (UTC) reply

I am not "monitoring [your] contributions". I currently have 10,727 articles on my watchlist, consisting almost entirely of New Zealand localities and geographical features. If you are making an edit within this topic, then I am highly likely to see it on my watchlist. Please see assume good faith. ― Panamitsu (talk) 09:08, 26 May 2024 (UTC) reply
damn it, you've got me there! I didn't expect someone to fix minor errors so quickly - that's dedication! Alexeyevitch( talk) 09:25, 26 May 2024 (UTC) reply
There wouldn't be many New Zealand editors who have a longer watchlist than I have. But you are ahead! Well done. Schwede 66 21:53, 26 May 2024 (UTC) reply
AWB has an "add to watchlist" feature, so I added several thousand articles to my watchlist when I added "Use New Zealand English" templates :) ― Panamitsu (talk) 22:01, 26 May 2024 (UTC) reply
