Aspidella

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contribution to the article on Aspidella. At Wikipedia we are very concerned about our accuracy, and aim to have all our facts backed up by verifiable sources. I don't doubt for a second that Aspidella reached 270mm in diameter, but since the source cited says 180mm, I reverted to that for the time being. I'd be very grateful if you could find a reliable source for the larger size and re-include that in the article!

All the best, and happy editing,

Unfortunately, Wikipedia has a policy of "no original research" - so I'm afraid facts can't be included here until they've been published elsewhere. One way around this might be to upload a photo (if you are willing to commit them to the public domain) and caption it with the specimen's size. Sorry it's not simple - I'm sure it must be frustrating! I'm sure you can understand why we're so careful to be accurate, though. I hope this doesn't put you off making edits to other Ediacaran beasties - many of the articles could use a little love! All the best, Verisimilus  T 08:58, 13 March 2008 (UTC) reply
