It is from an Armenian magazine, and is an aerial shot. The use of this photo is fair use, do not delete it.-- Moosh88 19:04, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
I got the info from various memoirs of those who participated in the Chinese torpedo developments. Also, in the science and achievement awards news in China, I got the some info for Yu-6. Old brochures of the establishments involved in developing torpedoes also provided some info. There is no a single book that provides all the info, but if you go to Dalian Library, you can find more info than other Chinese libraries. You have to be very patient in searching your info because for books published in China in the 1980's and some part of 1990's, there is not any ISBN and domestic Chinese book numbers are rather confusing. You might have better luck searching online. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.106.171.102 ( talk) 01:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Regarding the Wikipedia:Fair use review - I uploaded a new image and added fair use for both articles. I agree that the yoga link wasn't quite clear; would appreciate a look at Yoga series to see if you think this is adequate to link the book to the article. SkierRMH ( talk) 08:34, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
You left me a message about incorrect use of this tag, I agree, I have fixed up the image pages
As I could not prove they were US-PD I changes the tag to be non free and put in reasons and reference
Thanks -- Rbaal ( talk) 03:43, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
On the other hand, showing a high price for an out-of-print book could be notable -- I'm just not sure where the line should be drawn, so I'm leaving the info removed.-- uɐɔlnʌɟoʞǝɹɐs 16:33, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Thank for your reply to my question. I'm based in the UK. What I'm talking about is old picture postcards showing street scenes etc. I have seen a few suitable pictures on a well-known internet based auction site, and was wondering about the permissibility of using images sourced there to illustrate articles. I'm reluctant to purchase the actual cards as they are outside my area of collecting. Mjroots ( talk) 17:07, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi there
Unfortunately, all images of this weapon are either from press releases or official (Ministry of Defence/manufacturer) websites. Like many other militaries, the use of cameras is severely restricted in the Singapore Armed Forces, so it is not reasonable to ask someone to snap a picture of this weapon. Furthermore, "live" weapons are only used at the range — the average soldier may only see this once in their active duty. The weapons they carry on training are "drill" or "inert".
I have attempted searching for PD-USGOV images on Defenselink, without success. So, can this image be considered fair-use or not? Thanks. -- Rifleman 82 ( talk) 15:32, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on List of film formats/row template, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{
hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PKT ( talk) 18:55, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi- saw that you referred somebody to User:Peteforsyth/leg (I really should rename that now that it's getting so much attention!) Not sure how you found it, as I'm guessing you're not an Oregonian, but I wanted to say thanks. I was checking out your user page, and your thoughts on IP seem as reasonable as anything I've seen. Anyway, I hope that our little project will grow past Oregon's borders some day; I'll try to get back to you if it looks like it's heading that way! Best, - Pete ( talk) 07:54, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Megapixie, thanks very much for your efforts adding the PD-Australia template to the images in this article. Re. the small refs though, 'fraid I don't see the usefulness of this change, nor does it appear to be a requirement - some do it that way, some don't. My preference is to change it back but thought I'd discuss it with you first as I appreciate all your other work on the article. Cheers, Ian Rose ( talk) 08:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
As for the London Midland image, it is no longer in my hands. As far as I am concerned, it is ok, but the image is now in with the graphics lab. They are the ones who can improve it. I originally uploaded the copyrighted map, which I had no intention to be kept for long. The graphics lab told me they had dealt with all copyright problems.
Please put it through the lab again. They will sort it. Do not delete it until improvements have been made. Articles' quality will go down without it! Dewarw ( talk) 17:33, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Your Copyright flow chart is a brilliant idea! Would you mind if I linked to it from my collection of "Useful things" on my user page? DuncanHill ( talk) 14:52, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

I'd really appreciate it if you could check this out and confirm my analysis. I'm reasonably confident with it, but I want to make sure I'm right before I delete the image. Sarcasticidealist ( talk) 10:46, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:35mm_film-test.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Megapixie: Thanks fixing the PNG image. What are the size limits on PNG files? Also, I uploaded other drawings as JPEG's, which do not have the same quality. Is there a good way to replace the JPEG's with PNG files, assuming the PNG files is noticeably better? Andrew Balet ( talk) —Preceding comment was added at 15:37, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I see that the image from Operation Pegasus has been deleted by yerself, even after I attributed it to Captain Shore's work. I know yer response even before it transverses the tiny synapses of yer pea-sized brain. "Then why didn't you attribute it? Then it would not have been deleted!" I love it! The logic of Wiki editors. They will point out your anothers mistakes but will not correct them. If they are found at fault (which they, of course will not admit) it is up to someone else to correct them too. I suggest that you go immediately to my user's page and comb the other 14 A-Class articles for similar lack of photo attribution. You can then delete all of the images that I am sure users of Wiki will not need. Maybe I should delete them myself? Save you the strenuous effort? I already have hard copy of all the articles, so what do I need Wiki for? My publisher is waiting. Best not keep her too long. Sayonara! RM Gillespie ( talk) 18:36, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Here's his patent. [3]. I do see there were others before him, but his must have been unique somehow in order to qualify for a patent. Further searching shows that he originated the wide-screen pro-jo. How about we expand the projection television articles with histories of each? Hello!
Yes, fragmentation grenade OG-9 isn't equipped with a rocket engine, only PG-9 has it. Here is the very detailed info about PG-9 and OG-9 (photos, scanned pages from army manuals, etc.) but on Russian only. http://talks.guns.ru/forum_light_message/42/000017-m1917056.html

Hello.
You state that there's a free image of BMP-1 with Kliver turret. Can you please tell me more about it? Until a free replacement is found the image can be used under non-free use rationale to show the subject of the article (one of BMP-1 variants).
