Hi IceWelder. Great work on games-related articles. Please consider add
Yodo1 in your watchlist. A lot of COI/UPE editing going on. Cheers!

Looking over the added text, it mostly looks fine, and most sources qualify as reliable per
our list. What made you think of UPE exactly? If there are minor NPOV issues, it's usually better to fix those manually than reverting the lot.

2) I found this source
[1] (which also includes text from one of the Bethesda press releases that weren't archived :O) Was wondering cau help incorporate this source in the Bethesda Softworks article in
Bethesda_Softworks#1990s section (so we can remove the "needs expansion with: Information regarding Daggerfall's launch" template)

Some trivial mentions per
WP:VG/SE, though nothing significant.
That's very cool, but I'm rather short on time at the moment. Feel free to just add some text yourself. :)
It sure sounds like it, but the details there are quite limited and the platforms don't match. I couldn't immediately find anything else that mentions this name, though granted I cannot invest a lot time at the moment.

e-Nexus Studios/ZeniMax Productions foundation date URL
Hi! Do you any way to add the exact URL for this ? Its's mentioned here (per the California Secretary of State website business search, if you type ZeniMax four results show up) among them is ZeniMax Productions.
[3]
As far as I know, there is no way to do this. What you could do, for example, is to link the PDF document for the incorporation. However, I generally advise against using incorporation dates for foundation dates because many sources consider the start of the business as the founding date, i.e. when you start trading, which does not always match the incorporation date that is merely the legal step.

Hi! Do you know what this talks about?
[4] (the 7 million figure) I think it means just the original game but I guess it could mean that and the sequel (
Finding Nemo: The Continuing Adventure given the "The Finding Nemo video games have been a tremendous hit for THQ at retail?
Timur9008 (
talk) 17:28, 21 March 2024 (UTC)reply
Huh, I firmly believed that I already responded to this. Maybe it was a dream? Anyway, the press release seems to only talk about the very first game and makes no mention of The Continuing Adventure, so I'd think the figure only relates to one.

Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the
May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the
Awards page and the
Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated
NPP Browser tool.
I don't mean to be rude, but the
Manual of Style states that ™ and ® should not be used in either article text or citations unless excluding them removes essential context information. Given that citations include references and their titles, and knowing that the Wii brand is trademarked is not essential context information, may I remove it?
CoolieCoolster (
talk) 13:52, 7 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Reading the guideline more closely, it does indeed say that they should be removed, explicitly, from citation titles. This just happenes to have happened around the same time as the
MOS:TITLETYPOCON discussion, about fixing errors in citations, with many reservations about possible preservation issues. I'm wondering whether trademark symbols have the same kind of impact.

Hey, I thought I would add the Riot Client, as it adds information about Riot Games and how they operate, if that's not the right place to add that, could you maybe make something about the Riot Client somewhere, as it helps people know what games require the Riot Client and which games don't.
StarStorm10 (
talk) 21:37, 19 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Wikipedia isn't exactly a guide for software requirements. If the Riot Client was notable, and I highly doubt that it is, a list of supported games could be featured there. The Riot Games article focuses on the company's works, and we don't want Leagoe of Legends and Valorant to appear in three separate tables.
IceWelder [
✉] 10:29, 20 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Yeah I get that, but it would be a nice feature to add if possible, similar to battle.net, could you maybe try and add it somewhere within that article or another linked article, that information could be useful for people.

StarStorm10 (

Maybe add next to the games, if its supported on the Riot Client?
StarStorm10 (
talk) 00:36, 21 April 2024 (UTC)reply
I don't think we need anything in this regard. We don't have a list of Ubisoft Connect games, EA Play games, etc. If Riot Client and Riot ID are not notable, we shouldn't artificially push it. You can always open a discussion on the compnay's talk page if you feel strongly about it.
IceWelder [
✉] 05:44, 3 May 2024 (UTC)reply
I see it similar to battle.net, we have a list of games that are supported on battle.net, I just thought It would be valuable information as this is a Wikipedia after all, notable can be subjective to the opinion, I think It's notable because to play the listed games, the Riot Client and Riot ID is required, to the Ubisoft Connect games etc, maybe we should look to add that to the articles? I never make arguments, and I don't want to start now, but why do you keep deleting the work I'm putting in, its really annoying, at least try and meet me halfway here, and please try and add that information to the articles in a way you see fit. (I mean maybe I should create an article regarding the Riot Client in a different page?? what would you recommend me doing, as yes I do feel strongly about this, and would love the information to be there for everyone.
StarStorm10 (
talk) 11:23, 4 May 2024 (UTC)reply
can we add a article for the Riot Client like we have for Battle.net or Ubisoft Connect?
I don't think Battle.net should have a games list either, but see also
WP:OSE. Wikipedia is not a technical requirements list either. There aren't nearly enough reliable secondary sources to warrant a separate article for the client (
WP:GNG, etc.), so it is not "notable" in that sense. Again, if you want to seek a third opinion, please open a discussion on the article's talk page or
the broader video game board.

but what harm can be done in having next to the games, (notes: Riot Client and Riot ID)
StarStorm10 (
talk) 11:49, 4 May 2024 (UTC)reply
I believe it is unnecessary bloat. Next, there would be a column for which games use Vanguard, then which contain microtransactions.
IceWelder [
✉] 11:52, 4 May 2024 (UTC)reply
ok.. I will leave it to you then, I don't know what else to do, I just thought it would be useful information to have a note beside the games of which support the Client.
StarStorm10 (

I mean, I did tell you where you could find additional opinions...
IceWelder [
✉] 12:00, 4 May 2024 (UTC)reply
to be fair, your probably right, I just thought it would be nice to have a note next to the games that support the Client, idk...

NextEra Energy edits and possible edit request fix
Hi IceWelder, I saw that you recently made a couple of cleanup edits to the NextEra Energy article. I had
a request that I think will address one of the tags you left, if you had any interest in reviewing it. I'd really appreciate it if you would take a look!
NextEraMatt (
talk) 15:14, 20 May 2024 (UTC)reply
Hi @
NextEraMatt. My single edit to NextEra Energy was part of a semi-automated process (using
AWB) of disambiguating
EQT AB and
EQT Corporation. To clarify: I didn't leave any new tags, rather AWB automatically implemented a bypass of the redirect from {{verify inline}} to {{verify source}}. Since energy companies aren't my area of expertise, I'd rather not make significant edits to the NextEra Energy article. I can see that your request is already enqueued in the review line, so it should be reviewed by an interested party at some point. Regards,
IceWelder [

Regarding the game article changes you undid
It doesn't make sense if he
ie couldn't buy a of the game; like he couldn't afford it? The following sentence also mentions him acquiring the rights to the game. copy
KanyeWestSide (
talk) 23:05, 23 May 2024 (UTC)reply
I think that section is quite clear. He wanted to play the game but his physical copy didn't work and he couldn't find it for purchase anywhere online (it being
abandonware). He then got the idea of working with the rightsholder to re-release the game on digital stores, which took several months but ultimately worked out.
