AfD nomination of Athena study abroad

I have nominated Athena study abroad, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Athena study abroad. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Similar study abroad companies are on Wikipedia. This is to make people aware of the valuable concept of study abroad and global awareness. Many universities promote and work with Athena Study Abroad, and charities receive donations on behalf of the organization, which makes the company notable. Many study abroad websites make reference to the company. Have a good day. Jbenander (talk) 22:52, 14 November 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.192.68.190 ( talk)

Hi MuZemike - Thank you for your comments. The text has been cleaned up, per your note. Please let me know if there are any more issues. Jbenander ( talk) 19:05, 15 November 2008 (UTC) reply
It still meets regular deletion criteria, I'm afraid, as it doesn't meet the general notability guideline. What you need to do is to reference your article using reliable secondary sources that are independent of the topic, and make sure you reference them properly using the citation guidelines.
I have also flagged the article for rescue, so maybe someone else can also help improve the article so it doesn't get deleted. I have also recommended in the AFD that no prejudice be taken towards recreating the article should it happen to get deleted. Hope this all helps, MuZemike ( talk) 19:26, 15 November 2008 (UTC) reply
