Hi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you. / Johan (WMF)

Happy New Year and Happy New WikiCup! The 2022 competition has just begun and all article creators, expanders, improvers and reviewers are welcome to take part. Even if you are a novice editor you should be able to advance to at least the second round, improving your editing skills as you go. If you have already signed up, your submissions page can be found here. If you have not yet signed up, you can add your name here and the judges will set up your submissions page. Any questions on the rules or on anything else should be directed to one of the judges, or posted to the WikiCup talk page. Signups will close at the end of January, and the first round will end on 26 February; the 64 highest scorers at that time will move on to round 2. The judges for the WikiCup this year are: Sturmvogel 66 ( talk · contribs · email) and Cwmhiraeth ( talk · contribs · email). Good luck! MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 15:02, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
Hello. I have edited Draft:BrooksRehabilitation draft for review and would like some feedback before submitting for approval. You were involved in reviewing a previous draft. I would like to improve the article and am looking for help to ensure I am meeting the Wikipedia Guidelines. I believe the content is written from a neutral point of view and the sources meet the criteria. I would appreciate any direction you can provide. To be fully transparent, I have a declared COI with Brooks Rehabilitation.. Thank you Lauradavis44 ( talk) 18:59, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

his revolutionary influencer marketing courseand
he has inspired businesses all over the globeare the type of promotional wording we reject on Wikipedia. I suggest looking at other businesspeople's articles and copying that format. HickoryOughtShirt?4 ( talk) 18:37, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi, You deleted my new page which was written per your exact guidelines. All academic information, nothing for sale, promotions. etc. Along with all proper sourcing. Please advise why you deleted and I need to re-do it and I am confused by what text you would have found deletion worthy. Thanks BetsyCohenPhD ( talk) 01:10, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
Would you like to help write articles for the five red links in presidents of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association? I am working on Jack Berry. Would you be interested in any of the other four? I figured you might be familiar with Scott Burnside and Mark Spector. Thanks in advance if you are interested. On 16 January 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ala Stanford, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Ala Stanford established the Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium to fight racism in medicine, vaccinating nearly 4,000 people? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ala Stanford. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page ( here's how, Ala Stanford), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

On January 14, you rejected Toshinari Masuda's wikipedia page. The reason why I created this page is because according to the Japanese Wikipedia, "Toshiya Masuda" is wrong and "Toshinari Masuda" is correct. I'd like to know the specific reason for your rejection. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 鈴木修一郎 ( talk • contribs) 14:18, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

This should meet the criteria as an academic with prestigious awards (Nutrition Society Silver Medal is the main award for the nutrition discipline in the UK); he holds a DSc (a rare second doctorate), is editor-in-chief of an academic journal. He has a Web of Science H index of 54 and has a number of highly cited papers. Would this make the grade if there are citations to some of those papers and maybe a link to PubMed search of his publications? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shakeandvac ( talk • contribs) 19:54, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
I've updated with citations and more detail. Hopefully these improvements meet with your approval. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shakeandvac ( talk • contribs) 18:27, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

Could you please look at User:BetsyCohenPhD again? You deleted it as WP:G11 and WP:U5 once before... it's been re-created and looks borderline to me. I put a {{ userpage}} at the top just in case it's acceptable. Thanks. -- Drm310 🍁 ( talk) 16:15, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
The article
Colton Sissons you nominated as a
good article has passed ; see
Talk:Colton Sissons for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can
nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Message delivered by

Thank you so much for your help with editing. I have made extensive changes to Draft:Gerd Ulrich Nienhaus. I am wondering if you could check if it now meets the requirements for appropriate citations. CSNV ( talk) 09:50, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
I saw you declined this page. I understand it does not meet the guidelines for political notability; however, I do believe it meets the category for General Notability. Electorally, he performed similarly to Marquita Bradshaw, Merav Ben-David and Paula Jean Swearengin, who each have a wikipedia page despite never having held elected offices.
I would also cite
Chris Cole (politician), 2008 Libertarian Party nominee for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina
John Monds, 2008 Libertarian Party nominee for the Georgia Public Service Commission and 2010 Libertarian nominee for Governor of Georgia
Imad-ad-Dean Ahmad, 2012 Libertarian Party nominee for the U.S. Senate in Maryland
That makes sense. I'll try and find two more of those — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joffejs ( talk • contribs) 20:20, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
I believe I have found two additional in-depth coverage pieces, and I have cited them in the article. I am having a little trouble formatting the citation of one of them. Let me know if these suffice
@ HickoryOughtShirt?4: Sorry for the delay on editing. I've responded to your comments and resubmitted for approval. Thanks!
