Looks great - keep up the good work!! Satu Suro 10:27, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Anyway. You're getting this note because you've participated in discussion and/or asked for updates to either the Article Feedback Tool or Page Curation. This isn't about either of those things, I'm afraid ;p. We've recently started working on yet another project: Echo, a notifications system to augment the watchlist. There's not much information at the moment, because we're still working out the scope and the concepts, but if you're interested in further updates you can sign up here.
In addition, we'll be holding an office hours session at 21:00 UTC on Wednesday, 14 November in #wikimedia-office - hope to see you all there :). I appreciate it's an annoying time for non-Europeans: if you're interested in chatting about the project but can't make it, give me a shout and I can set up another session if there's enough interest in one particular timezone or a skype call if there isn't. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) ( talk) 10:59, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Hi. Can you please assist in working on the hooks I have active identified here? I leave for Melbourne tomorrow and I'm in a time crunch. -- LauraHale ( talk) 20:47, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
hmmm i still think regardless of what we might find in edit history is one thing - a punter doing a compare between website and here and looking at their (c) claim - could still make a case... Satu Suro 13:50, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Commissariat Buildings, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Manning ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi Gnangarra, thank you for the excellent work you have been doing. I see on your article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotel_Fremantle that the closing brackets for the image were not placed in and somewhere in between the images caption ran into the opening sentence. I have put in the closing brackets for the image now to appear, but when you get a chance please pop over and make sure that it has the right caption that you wanted and that the article's opening sentence has started the way that you liked it to be. I would add that it would be good practice to read over your material before posting so small things like that can be easily spotted. Anyway, thanks much for the good work and contributions, I have come across a good many of your work and it makes me happy when people busy themselves with such important tasks as listing histories and buildings.
Kindest regards, ( MrNiceGuy1113 ( talk) 10:51, 1 December 2012 (UTC))

Just a suggestion: If you are going to write about buildings, don't you think a very important piece of information to include in the article might be the city, state and country it is located in? You also might find that including a Template:Infobox building might give you a place to put basic info such as that and make your article more visually appealing. Glad you are writing about historic structures. They add a lot of interesting content to our Encyclopedia. Thanks! Gtwfan52 ( talk) 12:46, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article W D Moore & Co Warehouse is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/W D Moore & Co Warehouse until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Gtwfan52 ( talk) 13:45, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
I have withdrawn my Afd nomination, and I apologize for my over-reaction. Still have reservations about this Wikimania, but possibly they arise out of ignorance. If someone would care to explain (nicely, If you can. I don't really deserve it, but...) how adding articles that are not notable, and instructing the new editors creating them that is ok, benefits Wikipedia? What am I missing. You may feel free to trout the hell out of me at the same time. This is a day I should have never touched my keyboard. Gtwfan52 ( talk) 02:10, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

I was reviewing Category:Indefinitely blocked IP addresses and noticed 203.108.239.12 ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) which you blocked 4 years ago. As we generally try to avoid indef blocks of IPs that may change ownership, and in light of the time since the block, I was wondering if you would reconsider the block duration. I of course would have no objection to reblocking if the IP resumes the conduct that resulted in the block. Monty 845 18:28, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

G'day Gng, Whilst filling in a few coords from this list, I found the Fremantle Fire Station article. Given that it is not the current Fremantle Fire Station, should the article be renamed to Old Fremantle Fire Station or Fremantle Fire Station (former) or similar? I know that the current one is unlikely to be notable enough to have an article, but I think it is a bit misleading. The heritage listing uses (former), but that implies onwiki disambiguation, and the current tennant uses Old Firestation as a business name. I would guess that Old Firestation would be the commonname for the last 30 or so years. Also, do you think you could try to add the coordinate location data when you create the article. Are there many more Freopedia place articles to come? Regards, The-Pope ( talk) 16:04, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello Gnangarra, You have written before for the newsletter This Month in GLAM. I see Australia and New Zealand is missing regarding the edition about January 2013, do you perhaps have any idea what GLAM activities were done in Australia and/or New Zealand in January? Can you perhaps write about those? Or do you know who I can ask to write about it? Thanks! (Deadline of the January edition is Friday 8 February.) You can reach me the best at nl-wiki talk page. Greetings - Romaine ( talk) 15:54, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Hey Gnangarra :). I'm dropping you a note because you have signed up for the Notifications, or Echo, newsletter.
If all goes according to plan, we should be launching Echo on en-wiki either tomorrow, or next Tuesday - I'll drop a followup tomorrow when we know what's happening. Should the launch succeed, we'll begin the process of triaging bugs and gathering feedback on what features work, what cause problems, and what we should do next; I hope you'll help us out on these fronts by leaving any comments you might have on the talkpage.
Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) ( talk) 21:44, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
WP:AURD (Australian Roads), is inviting comment on a proposal to convert Australian road articles to {{

Hi there - now that we've dealt with the confusion re issues above, I was keen to get back to work on this page. I notice you reverted all the edits I made on Saturday, and thought it may be appropriate to get in touch about restoring them, and expanding on them going forward. Regarding the substance of what was added in there, do you see any issues? To be sure, the article still had issues in the state that I left it, but I feel that what I contributed made a big improvement, especially in the history section.
I'm definitely interested in building on that work and hopefully getting it up to a higher standard, but wanted to bring it up with you first in order to be sure that I wasn't breaching any etiquette (and so I knew it wasn't just going to be removed again!). Interested to hear what you think. Thanks. tim ( talk) 11:43, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
On 15 May 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Strelitz Buildings, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that between 1904 and 1906, the Strelitz Buildings in Fremantle, Western Australia, housed an office for Herbert Hoover? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Strelitz Buildings. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
