Suggestion of Talk Pages regarding Tables
Hey there,
I was just thinking, would it be possible to have a template created for the top of the PPV talk pages to try to direct people questioning the tables to the WP:PW talk page? There seems to be at least one person who asks in every talk page (several in NoC I believe) and I'm wondering if this would be a good way to avoid redundant sections on talk pages. Grand Slam Champions
Hello,
I recently made an edit regarding the Grand Slam Championship for WWE. My edit (under an anonymous server, I wasn't logged in) was regarding potential champions: specifically, champions who require two or more belts, rather than one. It was edited out (by you) since it was not considered notable. Just wondering why you felt that way - my thought was that readers of the article might be interested in ALL potential champions, rather than just those who require one title.
Per
this edit, where was this consensus formed? --

Ok, so PART of that edit was legitimate. But you also removed sources, templates, changed the infobox name when it should match the article name and changed headings to have all words capitilzed, which is a

Thanks for welcoming be back. I turn 22 on September 2 (so that's when I will update it). I still won't like the table idea, but I could at least accept it if there was a column indicating how the match was won (pin/submission,etc. and finishing move). Maybe the once column could also indicate who beat who (for tag matches, triple threat matches, etc.). TJSpyke 16:40, 31 July 2008 (UTC)reply

Championships
The last time I remember any discussion about it, the championships that use the ECW or WWF/WWE acronyms were listed before championships such as the World Heavyweight and World Tag Team Championships. Unless something has changed recently, and granted I haven't been on much of the wrestling articles as of late, titles were always listed: WWE Championship WWE Intercontinental Championship World Heavyweight Championship World Tag Team Championship. With the exception of the Batista and John Cena articles, every article I've browsed recently of wrestlers that have won straps that do and don't use the acronyms, namely Triple H Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels The Undertaker CM Punk, have the ones listed with the acronym first. Not a big deal with me or anything, but I only changed them because, as far back as I can remember, that's how they've always been listed.

Re: OWOW
Listen, I know where your coming from, but it has been proven not to be "reliable", per Triple H's previous FA. As for CM Punk's article, I have no idea, I don't edit that article. But, his article passed FA, before the FA guidelines became all serious. The only reason I reverted your edits, were because of that reason. I'm trying to abide by the guidelines, because in sometime, I intend to nominate, or someone else from PW, HBK's article for FA. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE) 03:33, 14 August 2008 (UTC)reply
I was gonna tell you about it, cause I admire you as an editor and stuff, but never got a chance to do it, since I'm really busy with other stuff. But, I didn't mean to revert your edits in "mean" way, just that I'm going with the guidelines. Though, I was gonna say to re-add them, but only if you can have a good case on why OWOW is a reliable source to include in the article. ;) -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE) 03:48, 14 August 2008 (UTC)reply
Yeah, that's why I thought too. But, I couldn't find it either for OWOW being a reliable source. I guess its useful for GA's. I do, you go out there and fix links that are broken, revert vandalism, state any other sorts of problems at PW and basically everyone knows what to expect to correct the problem. You admire me? That's freaking awesome, especially coming from you. :) -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE) 04:03, 14 August 2008 (UTC)reply
True, but just work on articles that interest you, so they have GA potential. As for the PL, maybe
this, this, this might help, not sure. But, I don't think it would fail GA, if no info. is found for his PL section. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE) 04:14, 14 August 2008 (UTC)reply
Well, I just did a random Google search on the guy and basically clicked on the links that may have some good "stuff" to add to the article. Yeah, adding a PR might help as well. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE) 04:26, 14 August 2008 (UTC)reply
Oh, then that might work too. Um, well I know that the "images" have to be reliable, not having images of that belong to the promotions. Like for Edge, there's an image with him stating that he has a MySpace. IDK, that's how I would relate if its reliable. There was a thread on this at PW, I can't find it, but I remember that Nikki commented on this. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE) 04:39, 14 August 2008 (UTC)reply

Event Opening Paragraph
I still fail to see why putting 115 sentences telling everyone reading that wrestling is fake in the opening sentences of a WWE pay-per-view article is necessary? By doing this, you're trying to demean the sport of prefessional wrestling by stating - several times in the opening - that it's scripted, the characters aren't real, the moves are fake, etc. This is arrogant and thoroughly biased against wrestling fans. Anyone reading about a WWE PPV is going to know these facts already; there's no sense in putting them in the opening. All people want to know is the date, results, etc. If anybody wants to know about the complete history of the "fake" professional wrestling, then they can be redirected to the article about it, giving them the exact same information. It does not need to be repeated at the opening of every WWE PPV article.
Hi, On Shads myspace and in an interview on wwe .com he calls his finishing move THUGNIFICENCE. It’s just a modified big mans STO. It’s spelled different than the character name on the Boondocks, so it must have no connection, and just be plain street slang. —Preceding

We have now reached our goal of getting the number of Stub-Class articles below 600. The current count is 586. It still would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the
stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.
The
Collaboration has recently been revamped, and we will now have 6 collaborations at a time. The current collaborations will stand until they reach a certain
goal, e.g.
Good article status.
