Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to The Sound of Drums. Your edits could be considered vandalism, and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. 1312020Wikicop 03:24, 17 March 2007 (UTC) reply

Uncited material in Doctor Who articles

Hi, Derek. First of all, thanks for your edits to Doctor Who articles. Unfortunately, I've had to revert many of them, because they don't fit with Wikipedia policies. Wikipedia requires that information be attributable to reliable sources. Many of the edits you've made recently appear to be your own synthesis of the information available about upcoming Doctor Who episodes, which is original research. If you have a source for the edits you've made, please provide it, either in the edit itself or in the edit summary. Citing sources is very important, and if you can't provide a source edits may be reverted. Similarly, if a sentence has a citation after it, please don't alter the sentence to add information not present in the original source. (For example, Russell T. Davies' column in DWM 378 indicated that Graham Harper's two episodes were set in a distant solar system and on the planet Malcassairo. That source doesn't indicate which is Blink and which is Utopia. If you have a source indicating that Utopia is set on Malcassairo, please provide it, rather than making it appear that Davies' column says that.)

Please don't let this put you off from contributing to Wikipedia — it's just important that our information be attributable. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me on my user talk page. You can also discuss the edits you wish to make on the articles' talk pages. Thanks. — Josiah Rowe ( talkcontribs) 04:32, 17 March 2007 (UTC) reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Renaissance of the Daleks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lack of significant coverage and failing to meet general notability guidelines. There is a lack of reliable sources for this article online. Existing external link is production company's website. List reference to this article is at Doctor Who: The Monthly Adventures.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
