Chetsford ( talk) 07:14, 9 January 2018 (UTC)The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DreamsCloud until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Jytdog ( talk) 15:33, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
H DavyKamanzi. I work on conflict of interest issues along with my regular editing.
I appreciate that you are disclosing your paid edits on the talk pages of relevant articles. However per the COI guideline you should not be directly editing in mainspace on behalf of your clients. For instance you directly created Curve (payment card) in mainspace. I have moved it to Draft:Curve (payment card) and tagged it for AfC review.
Conflict of interest management in Wikipedia has two steps -- disclosure and prior review.
What "prior review" means concretely, is:
{{
request edit}}
tag to flag it for other editors to review. In general it should be relatively short so that it is not too much review at once. Sometimes editors propose complete rewrites, providing a link to their sandbox for example. This is OK to do but please be aware that it is lot more for volunteers to process and will probably take longer.By following those "peer review" processes, editors with a COI can contribute where they have a COI, and the integrity of WP can be protected. We get some great contributions that way, when conflicted editors take the time to understand what kinds of proposals are OK under the content policies. (There are good faith paid editors here, who have signed and follow the Wikipedia:Statement on Wikipedia from participating communications firms, and there are "black hat" paid editors here who lie about what they do and really harm Wikipedia).
Will you please do this going forward? Jytdog ( talk) 15:47, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi Davykamanzi. The PAID policy says that you need to disclose your employer (who paid you), the client, and any other affiliation for each set of paid edits you make.
You are not quite doing this.
For example at Draft:Curve (payment card) you disclosed that you were paid by "Callum McCaig". I googled him and he is the PR guy for Curve.
So.. really, did he pay you out of his personal bank account, or is/has the company itself paying you?
Also, it is not clear if you work for some kind of PR or digital marketing agency yourself, or if you are a freelancer. If you are freelancer, we look for disclosure of the means by which you found the client - did you use Upwork, Freelancer, or the like?
Those are all real questions. Please do answer them.
The purpose of the disclosure is to understand the relationship. Does that make sense? (also a real question) Best regards Jytdog ( talk) 17:52, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
The stuff above may feel intrusive to you but my goal here is to make sure that you understand what we expect of you, so that you can do it. If you don't understand and do the wrong things (or if you do understand and ignore what you should) you are going to get into trouble and the rest of us are going to have spend time dealing with that trouble. Good for nobody. So that is what I am up to, here....
I don't know how much you understand about the background of paid editing in Wikipedia - the context in which you are working. If you don't please have a look at User:Jytdog#NPOV_part_2:_COI_and_advocacy_in_Wikipedia and also Wikipedia:Statement on Wikipedia from participating communications firms. I don't know if those folks welcome freelancers but you should consider signing up there. Jytdog ( talk) 18:04, 16 January 2018 (UTC)

SeraphWiki ( talk) 07:28, 18 January 2018 (UTC)Please avoid uploading large size images to the Tekken articles. Wikipedia itself tends to resize the images and make a short version of all of them. Cheers. Tintor2 ( talk) 16:09, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Women's Football / Soccer Task Force News: April 2018 |
Hello WOSO editors! A few initiatives have been started with an emphasis on making more WOSO links blue (similar to the work that WikiProject Women in Red does) and filling in the gaps within various league, team, and player, etc. articles. If you're interested in collaborating with others to make more links blue, take a look at the initiatives listed in the box below. Sign up at the bottom of an initiative page and help grow the lists, add potential references, resources, and create the articles ... or create your own initiative.
WP:GNG takes precedence over WP:NFOOTY (which only includes the players in 1 active women's league)? Often times there is enough media coverage that meets WP:GNG or other notability guidelines. For more information, see WP:WOSO#Notability and be sure to tag the new article talk page with: {{WP Women's sport|footy=yes}}
Want some tips, assistance, or resources from other WOSO editors? |
Thank you for your continued contributions to articles related to women's football / soccer (WOSO)! |

Hello,
There will be some changes to the way wikitext is parsed during the next few weeks. It will affect all namespaces. You can see a list of pages that may display incorrectly at Special:LintErrors. Since most of the easy problems have already been solved at the English Wikipedia, I am specifically contacting tech-savvy editors such as yourself with this one-time message, in the hope that you will be able to investigate the remaining high-priority pages during the next month.
There are approximately 10,000 articles (and many more non-article pages) with high-priority errors. The most important ones are the articles with misnested tags and table problems. Some of these involve templates, such as infoboxes, or the way the template is used in the article. In some cases, the "error" is a minor, unimportant difference in the visual appearance. In other cases, the results are undesirable. You can see a before-and-after comparison of any article by adding ?action=parsermigration-edit to the end of a link, like this: /info/en/?search=Arthur_Foss?action=parsermigration-edit (which shows a difference in how {{ infobox ship}} is parsed).
If you are interested in helping with this project, please see Wikipedia:Linter. There are also some basic instructions (and links to even more information) at https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-ambassadors/2018-April/001836.html You can also leave a note at WT:Linter if you have questions.
Thank you for all the good things you do for the English Wikipedia. Whatamidoing (WMF) ( talk) 21:18, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Onel5969 TT me 21:49, 27 April 2018 (UTC)By any chance could Kazuya Mishima's Tekken 7 image be mirrored. I thought he had the red eye on the other side. Still, if possible could you give me a link to the image. I tried linking in the official website but I can't save it. Cheers. Tintor2 ( talk) 21:56, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
Noting that you have had previous problems improperly disclosing paid edits, I just wanted to add a note here for reference and link to the discussion we've had on Onel5969's talk page. If you proxy for a blocked editor again, then expect to be blocked from editing. SmartSE ( talk) 19:29, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Davykamanzi. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Baltic Ground Services, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
