All I ask is the following:

  • No Irish jokes please.
  • No redneck/southern jokes.

RE: Montreal Screw Job

If that's the case, then please add an inline citation to verify the information. If you're unsure how to do so, you can look at WP:CITE, and you should be all set. Happy editing, Bmg916 Speak 20:27, 30 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Flag Icons in Bio's

SEE:

Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(flags)#Not_for_use_in_locations_of_birth_and_death

Not for use in locations of birth and death

The use of flag icons in the birth and death information in a biographical article's introduction and/or infobox is strongly deprecated, as flags imply citizenship and/or nationality. Many people born abroad due to traveling parents never become citizens of the countries in which they were born and do not claim such a nationality. For example, actor Bruce Willis was born on a U.S. military base in Germany, so putting a German flag in his infobox, for any reason, might lead the casual reader to assume he is or was a German citizen. Similarly, many people die on foreign soil due to war, vacation accidents, etc. without any effect on their actual citizenship or nationality.

The Anon

Three vandal edits, the others all seemed legitimate to me. That, and there was no level 4 warning (or 3) when it was reported. It seemed to have stopped after seeing the warnings. Kwsn (Ni!) 20:15, 31 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Just a few pointers

I've seen your edits to Mark Canterbury and well since you're obviously pretty new to this I figured I'd take a moment to break down a few things so that you get a better understanding of wikipedia

1) Years without dates and months without days usually aren't linked unless it's crucial to the article to know what generally happened that year or that month.

2) Don't link names inside the {{citation brackets}}

3) Don't removed anything from the citations unless the information in the actual article changes, don't change words by the "Quote =" since they're direct quotes from a source and should be written exactly as they are on the original site.

I hope this helps clear up any future misunderstandings, thank you and happy editing MPJ-DK 05:22, 1 November 2007 (UTC) reply

I noticed that you supported the idea for a newsletter for WP:PW. Well, I have drawn up a draft of the newsletter here. It would help if you have your feedback and suggestions at this talk page. Thanks! The Chronic 23:22, 3 November 2007 (UTC) reply

From the Editor

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday.

This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement.

That's all. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please post them at this talk page.

FAC vote

I noticed you opposed at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Bobby Eaton because you do not believe Eaton is a notable wrestler. Featured Articles do not measure the notability of the subjects, but rather how well their articles are written and sourced. "Being remembered" is not a criterion to be a Featured Article. Thanks.
