Hi
It seems my wiki page is being considered for deletion ?
as even though he's contributed to a number 1 single, he has not gained notability independent of that event. CharlieDelta (talk) 10:33, 17 July 2011 (UTC) Italic text

I confirm your results. Seemed best to go to AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/J.N. Paquet DGG ( talk ) 20:51, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
As I supported your merge proposal and nobody else has commented, I have closed the discussion ( Talk:The Invisible Detective#Merger proposal) and merged all the individual book articles into the single article for the series ( The Invisible Detective). mooncow 20:07, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your assistance and the offer for help, this is new for me but something I have wanted to get involved in for quite a while. I was wondering about the article I had edited. It is indicated on it that there is an issue that it "may contain improper references to self-published sources", however there is a link to adamsliterary.com with a bio about the writer. Does this not qualify? Again I thank you for the help. Also is there a guide or some resources that are available for beginners? Thanks again, Dan DanJohnson2010 ( talk) 13:38, 17 September 2011 (UTC)— Preceding unsigned comment added by DanJohnson2010 ( talk • contribs) 13:27, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
Hi Charlie!, Great article that you wrote about the Amish life in the modern world - I used some of the material from your article for an article on [Modern conveniences].
Question for you: I see several citations for a Kraybill book from 2001 - but I'm not sure what book that might be. Here's a search that brought up several books. Could one of these be the book you referenced? I need it for a couple of references I have in the modern conveniences article. (I'll put this on my watchlist for the moment, so you can just respond here if you'd like).
Again, great and interesting article! Thanks!-- CaroleHenson ( talk) 03:22, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Hi, this is a translation from Spanish to English with the tools of Google Language. Pardon my low level of English. Currently I have two problems with the English Wikipedia. 1 - My English level is low 2 - I'm learning how to edit Wikipedia. Perhaps I have been too bold in creating a Wikipedia article before I learn how. Thank you for your help. People like you make me feel good. In the coming days I will add more data in the article "Jose Ramon Hinojosa Montalvo." Greetings from Burjassot in Valencia (Spain).-- Sigfridosanjuan ( talk) 07:35, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

I couldn't find anything either. I checked a couple of his opponents at random, and their articles didn't mention him at all. I've deleted it, with the proviso that if he comes up with RS for it, I will restore. As the only ghits were here, I'm not holding my breath. Peridon ( talk) 19:32, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I'm the author of the wikipedia article entry for "Kai Lu (author)" which has been suggested for deletion. I have removed any arguably personal-opinions of the author and have left only quantifiable information. I believe that the subject of the article is notable as the author (Kai Lu) is well-known and respected in the LGBT community of West Hollywood not only for literary work but also for participation in pride events and charity functions. I am in the process of gathering more empirical evidence of the article subject (in addition to other notable LGBT community authors) and request that the deletion-nomination be removed because the person Kai Lu is indeed notable not only as an author but as a LGBT advocate. Thank you and I appreciate you looking at the article I've written :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starsforminerva ( talk • contribs) 21:02, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

Well if you look through the edit history of Gun laws in the United States (by state) you can see that the material in that article has been there a very long time (the North Carolina material was there in this version from 2009) and that the material has been built up piece-by-piece ( this paragraph was added seperately from everything else in 2008, for instance). One useful tool for this kind of situation is the Internet Archive which shows what a web page looked like at various points in the past. If you give it this link it returns no results. If they're indexing that site (and they are) then that usually means the page is less than six months old. Furthermore if you look at that last link you can see that the pages on that site don't have any versions earlier than Jan 2010, so Wikipedia has had that material for longer than that site has existed. It's true they don't have the legally-mandated attribution to Wikipedia on their website, but lots of people who use Wikipedia content don't bother and enforcement is virtually nonexistent.
