Your recent article submission to
Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by DoubleGrazing was:
This draft's references do not show that the subject
qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
in-depth (not just brief mentions about the subject or routine announcements)
Make sure you add references that meet all four of these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about
mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to
Draft:UCC History Society and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and
may be deleted.

Hello! My connection to the society is merely that I am researching it and noticed a lack of information on it so am compiling sources. I had noted the UCC Philosophical Society had a wikipedia page and given these two societies are both the eldest of their kind in the university, I thought it apt.

Don't you mean you are the Chairperson of this organisation? Or are you saying that it is purely coincidental that your username is very similar to the Chairperson's name, which was shown in the infobox (although has now been removed)?
Please just make the COI disclosure, as instructed above. Thank you. --

Any connections I have to the orgnaisation were removed and what remains is the factual and refererenced (both primary sources and secondary sources, including from notable Irish publications found in the university archives) analysis of what the society contributes to university life to make this easily accessible to students. I am currently conducting a research project on the history of the society as it seemingly (a lot of records have been lost to time) is almost as old as the university itself dating back to 1848. However, I have made the disclosure despite this fact. I have not began my tenure as of yet, this being the summer recess and research season, but for full information I suppose i have added this. There is no promotion or advertisement of any upcoming events or journal launches, everything mentioned is past.
